Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Roselea is a warm and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. The staff are always attentive, kind and compassionate. Mum settled in very quickly when she moved in 2 years ago. Anyone who visits mum comments positively on the size of her room and how nice the home is. We are kept informed
about mum's welfare, and any issues are always dealt with quickly. We are confident that mum is safe and well cared for at Roselea, can't ask for anything more in the face of how awful the disease dementia is.

Reply from Laura Poole, Communications at Roselea House

Thank you for your kind words about Roselea. We're so pleased to hear that your mum settled in well and that you feel confident in the care she receives. It's lovely to know her room and the home itself make a positive impression on visitors. Preston House

from Yvonne B (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother has been residing in Preston House for a year now. Her health, and mobility has improved so much during this time, and is flourishing due to the dedication and care she receives. My Father was diagnosed with end stage kidney disease, , and wanted to be with his wife in his final weeks. Preston
made this happen. Again the dedication from the staff and Manager was second to none, and made his final weeks and days as comfortable as they could be. He was a complex man, with complex care needs, which the Care Home took in its stride. I cannot thank Preston House enough to allow them to be together til he passed. The Manager, and her team definitely care from the heart.
My mum continues to have the best care, in my opinion, and I never feel worried about the care provided to her. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Reply from Laura Poole, Communications at Preston House

Thank you so much for your deeply touching and heartfelt words. It means the world to us to hear how much of a positive impact Preston House has had on both your Mother and Father. We are truly honored to have been able to support your father's wish to be with his beloved wife in his final weeks. It was our privilege, and we're so glad we could help provide comfort, dignity, and togetherness during such a meaningful time. Knowing that you felt supported and reassured throughout makes all the difference to our team. Thank you again.

My Mum was a resident at Preston House for 5 years before she passed earlier in 2025. I live 500 miles away and my brother is in Australia. The level of respect, care and love received by my Mum meant gave us confidence that she was very well looked after. The Manager is tireless in ensuring the best

My husband moved in five weeks ago, he has settled in well. Massively improved in mobility and independence, eating well and appears to enjoy activities. Very happy so far. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
If I had anything negative to comment on, from his point of view, he can't sit and watch
out the window anymore unless he went to the ground floor. Windows in his room and lounge on 2nd floor they are too high to sit and watch out, he used to love sitting by the window watching the birds and squirrels at home.

Reply from Clare Cogan Turner, Communications at Preston House

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We're so pleased to hear your husband has settled in well and is enjoying his meals, activities, and greater independence-it's lovely to know he's feeling happy and supported. We appreciate you sharing the point about the windows, and we understand how important it is for him to enjoy those simple pleasures like watching the birds. We'll certainly take this on board and explore ways to help him enjoy that again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide lovely feedback. We pride ourselves on providing a warm and supportive environment so we are very pleased to hear you have felt welcomed and well-supported during the settling-in process, and that your husband is receiving kind and attentive care. It's also great to know he's enjoying the food - we'll make sure to let our chef know! We truly appreciate your kind words, thank you.
