My sister was full blown dementia, my brother in law was onset. She was admitted to the care of Larkfield View the seperation took it's toll on my brother in law who was also admitted this gave them the chance to be together in my sister's last days. The staff are amazing, I spent at least 1 day a week there and got to know the staff. I take my hat off to them being so pleasant in some very difficult circumstances.

I am so delighted I put my mum into care. She is so come on leaps and bounds. Interacts with other residents and if she has a bad day, the staff take her right back to her happy place. All her personal care is taken care of with dignity and there is also plenty of cuddles for security. The food at the dining room looks and smells amazing and they all have plenty of activities. Thank you all for taking great care of Mum

My father stayed at the home for 5 weeks from Nov- Dec last year. On every visit I was spoken to so kindly by the staff on duty and made to feel very welcome. Dad was treated with dignity, consideration and humour throughout that week and for the remainder of his stay. The staff got to know him very well and always spoke about him with genuine affection when talking to me and my brothers. He was moved after a few days having been assessed and the lower corridor suited his needs better. One of dad's friends that he knew from the Alzheimer's club had recently moved in and dad was able to sit with him in the day lounge, enabling him to see a familiar face.

Such a great place, staffed by caring professionals. Friendly and offered a home from home.

My mother was a resident within the “Larkfield family” from August 2024 until December 2025.
The love, care, friendship and devotion to duty from all of the staff, but especially within the garvel unit, was above and beyond.

Larkfield View was a saving grace for both my mother and the family. Thank you, one and all.

Unfortunately our Mum was only in L.V. care home for a year . Staff got to know her likes and dislikes very quickly which helped her settle. She was extremely happy there and especially loved the afternoon cuppa and home baking. She loved the staff attention painting her nails, and they always made her laugh. She also loved the special events, which were organised.
Can't thank staff enough for making our mum's last year , happy, she laughed every day. We visited every day so knew first hand how settled and happy she was. Always a welcome from reception, cleaner, and laundry staff, smiling and acknowledgement of you.
Also for touching tribute of indivdual flowers and drivepast of funeral cortege

Can't thank all staff enough for mum's last year...made our lives better too. Pleasure to have known you all staff and residents was big extended family .

My mother is now the longest resident in Larkfield View. I can honestly say after 11 years I still continue to have every confidence in the team who look after my mother's welfare on a daily basis. The staff are nurturing and caring and have all the residents best interests at heart. The annual full care home day out last month has to be mentioned. A huge undertaking and massive responsibility is taken on

Initially worried about my wife's settling this was soon dispelled and she soon started settling in. This was helped greatly by carers involved and all other staff. The ability to customise her room benefited her transition. Since her arrival she has started to regain weight due to the first class catering provided.

Only downside is it is a bit expensive. And we never understood the costs when she entered but I wouldn't move her.

My mum was only in Larkfield for five days before passing away. I was by her side for most of this time i was also cared for by the management and staff. I can honestly say that Larkfied view made my mums last days so very comfortable and peaceful. She was attended to with diligence and care befitting of anybody's mum. The experience of the nurse knowing when my mum's time nad come impressed me greatly. She knew that i should call family members so that we could all be with her at the end after she passed she continued to get expert care and attention.

Having not one but two parents in the need of care I have found Larkfield View to be the most welcoming and caring residential center I have dealt with. The staff from top down are engaging and friendly. The care home puts the residents needs front and centre. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The care home puts entertainment on for residents and organises days out for the residents benefit. All in all a very well run care home that prioritises the needs of its residents.

My sister has been in Larkfield View care home for four years. She is always treated with love and care from all the staff her room is cleaned every day and it is very comfortable. They have activities every week. If there is any change in her medication I am informed at my next visit. To enter Larkfield view home you have to press a buzzer and staff can see who they are letting in.

My mum is almost 97 and has been in Larkfield View care home for almost 2 years now. Within this time her health has declined and she has become frail and finds it difficult to focus and remember things. The treatment Mum gets from the staff (nurses and care workers) is wonderful. They are always updating me about her care needs and call me with any concerns. I visit Mum every day at Larkfield View and the staff are always cheery and happy and don't mind spending a little time updating me on the previous 24 hours.
Walking out and knowing my mum is well looked after when I am not there. I couldn't have coped trying to do this on my own with the care and attention Mum needs. I would like to give a big thank you to all the staff for the care and continuing support to Mum. They treat her like part of their family.

One little thing I would like to see is more activities for the residents as there seems to be very little at the moment and the residents tend to get frustrated with the some routine.

My mother moved into Larkfield View from hospital in September 2024. My mother was transferred to LV by ambulance, the medical staff had advised us that she was very frail and weak and unlikely to survive for more than 2-3 weeks. Almost 6 months later she is thriving, she is up and dressed everyday, has put on weight, visits the hairdresser and admits that she feels better than she has done in a long time. This is entirely due to the wonderful care and attention that she receives from all the staff at LV

My Daughter and I went to visit my Mum and we were treated so well and staff couldn't do enough to help us. My first indication of Larkfield View Care Centre being well established was the cleanliness, no aroma's which I have noticed in other Care homes.

My mum's room and bathroom were spotless and appears that Mum is taken great care of.

She was originally in another care home, but she never really settled in there. It may be down to the Larkfield View having a designated floor for people with dementia, the staff know how to deal with dementia patients and different situations. If there has been any small issue, it's been looked into and resolved very quick. We are always informed of any changes going on at the home. One of the latest phone calls was to inform us that they are thinking of splitting the unit, so most of the bedbound residents are at one side of the building and the non-bedbound are on the other side, this is to prevent walkers going into the bedbound's rooms which we think is a great idea. It's good to see they are always thinking of how to improve things at the home. We have got to know the staff over the years and all are very helpful and will do anything they can to help. We both feel my mum is in very good hands in Larkfield View.
