Baytree Court is a friendly, welcoming home with a beautifully appointed lounge, and it’s own designated tea room where residents can enjoy home cooked meals and afternoon tea with family and friends.

The home also benefits from its very own bar which is enjoyed all year round to celebrate social events, a tune or two from the piano, or just a chill out area to enjoy a Sunday afternoon after dinner. It really comes into its own in the summer where its doors lead out to the garden so that residents can enjoy an afternoon in the sun.

The person-centred care enables residents to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved. Life at Baytree allows residents to enjoy some of their favourite pastimes; so they’ll be able to clean, help out in the garden, prepare meals and even enjoy singing and exercise sessions in the local community.

A jam-packed activities programme is available to residents, including outings to the local area, which is excellent for both entertainment and heritage, with a theatre and cinema nearby, as well as a museum and country park. Each week residents can take a look and choose what they would like to participate in.

Pop in for a visit and see for yourself what makes Baytree Court so different.

My mum has spent two years in the Dementia area at Scunthorpe. The carers are the best and care for her like they are her family. Every time they enter her room her face lights up.
The home is nice, clean and friendly. It is very relaxed and nothing is too much trouble.
Reply from Clare Cogan Turner, Communications at Baytree CourtThank you for taking the time to share your experience with Baytree Court.

We're also pleased that you find the home clean, friendly and relaxed, and that nothing feels too much trouble for the team.
Thank you again for your kind words-they are truly appreciated by everyone here.

I viewed several Residential Care Homes in the Scunthorpe area. I was looking for a care home which was big enough to have the facilities required but not so big as to loose the personal touch. I turned up without appointment at each care home so that I could assess them as is. I made a point of talking
to managers carers and ancillary staff at each care home. Some care homes felt to be soulless and seemed to lack empathy for the residents. I made a short list then decided that Bay Tree Court Residential home was only care home which ticked all the boxes.
All the staff at Bay Tree seem to be happy in their work and totally commited the the welfare of the residents. They are so attentive. The staff worked so hard to help my wife settle in to her new surroundings. Cook has been very happy to cater for my wife's vegetarian diet. Bay Tree House have taken a lot of stress off my shoulders.
Reply from Clare Cogan Turner, Communications at Baytree CourtThank you for taking the time to share your experience of Baytree Court Care Home. We know how important it is to find a care home that offers both excellent facilities and a genuine personal touch, so it means a great deal that you knew we were the right choice for your wife.
We're especially pleased to hear that our team made such a positive impression when you visited and that their warmth, attentiveness and commitment stood out to you. Supporting your wife to settle in comfortably, including catering for her vegetarian diet, is exactly the kind of personalised care we strive to provide every day.
Thank you for trusting Baytree Court with her care. We're so glad we've been able to ease some of the stress during what can be a very difficult time.

An exceptional facility!
The staff are incredible- so diligent, thoughtful and caring. My Grandad has been here since July 2025 and his experience has been excellent so far. All team members- be it carers, catering, maintenance, management- know the residents well and treat them with respect and kindness
at every turn. Myself and my family are so grateful for the care my Grandad receives- thank you Baytree!

The care my Dad receives is absolutely excellent - all of the staff go to great lengths to make sure all of his needs are met and their kindness and care for him is just wonderful.
They are always cheerful, have really taken the time to get to know him, and clearly want to do all they can to make him
happy.
Nothing is too much trouble; and he is treated with the utmost dignity at all times,
They take great care of making sure he is comfortable, help him to keep taking pride in his appearance, and always find time to chat with him however busy they are.
The food is really beautiful, plentiful and interesting with lots of home made goodies and little treats which go down very well.
As a family we are made welcome at all times; and we have all been touched beyond measure at the care my Dad receives - and also the support given to us.
I can't praise the staff at Baytree high enough, or say how very much all they do is appreciated by my Dad, myself and my family. Huge thanks to everyone.

We never wanted mum to go into a home but after breaking her hip and never regaining mobility we had no choice. From our first visit to Bay tree court it felt different to other care homes, it felt homely and the residents we saw looked happy. All the girls are so good and do actually care. For the last
7 months we have felt confident mum was cared for and safe. All the staff were excellent especially Lucy, Tracy, Harley, Bev and Victoria, and Leanne who sat with mum when she passed away. I can't recommend Bay tree court enough, all the staff were lovely to mum and spent time with her. Thank you

My mum has been at Baytree Court after some time in hospital. The home has been absolutely top notch. The atmosphere there is very friendly and helpful and the staff are to a person excellent. My mum has improved significantly since being cared for there and I am extremely appreciative of their efforts.
The home is run very well by the new manager and she has been very helpful throughout my mum's transition there. I very seldom do reviews but would absolutely recommend Baytree.

The home needs a manager to 'take the reigns' and address a few domestic issues. I understand this has now been addressed.
The activities organiser is an absolute gem and consistently goes over and above what she is required to do. Some of the care staff take advantage of this and leave her to do what,
in effect, is their job.

I have left Baytree Court after being a resident for four months. Initially, after being in hospital, I required TLC but realised I am too active for permanent residence. The staff here are excellent, caring and professional in their approach to residents, they make an excellent team, doing each other's
job if there is a gap.
My hesitation in giving 'good' for overall experience was the food, which I found to be bland and repetitive (I must be fair in saying that most other residents enjoyed the food).

My mother-in-law has been in care for two years now, and in this time, she has been looked after to a high standard. She is kept very clean, with two baths a week and strip washes in between. The carers are amazing, so patient and hardworking. The food is of a good standard, and the residents have lots
of activities, including external singers and musicians. She continues to be very happy and healthy.

Overall, Baytree Court is an excellent care home. There have been a few minor issues over the past few months, mainly due to a shortage of staff and a lack of communication. Agency staff are being used more often, this creates problems as they don't know the residents and their particular individual
needs. The staff work extremely hard but do not have any time to take extra time with residents as they are rushing to care for the next resident.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.654)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.654) out of 10 for Baytree Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 17 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.729 for Baytree Court is calculated as follows: ( (154 Excellents x 5) + (43 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 203 Ratings = 4.729
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.925 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Baytree Court is based on 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.925
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 34 registered maximum number of service users is 6.8, which has been reached with 17 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
