Baytree Court is a friendly, welcoming home with a beautifully appointed lounge, and it’s own designated tea room where residents can enjoy home cooked meals and afternoon tea with family and friends.

The home also benefits from its very own bar which is enjoyed all year round to celebrate social events, a tune or two from the piano, or just a chill out area to enjoy a Sunday afternoon after dinner. It really comes into its own in the summer where its doors lead out to the garden so that residents can enjoy an afternoon in the sun.

The person-centred care enables residents to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved. Life at Baytree allows residents to enjoy some of their favourite pastimes; so they’ll be able to clean, help out in the garden, prepare meals and even enjoy singing and exercise sessions in the local community.

A jam-packed activities programme is available to residents, including outings to the local area, which is excellent for both entertainment and heritage, with a theatre and cinema nearby, as well as a museum and country park. Each week residents can take a look and choose what they would like to participate in.

Pop in for a visit and see for yourself what makes Baytree Court so different.

An excellent home that treats the residents as individuals with care and respect, Information and communication ios good and open. My mum was treated with dignity, she was clean, warm and well fed. All the carers were approachable and built a good rapport with my mum. Never at any time did I feels she
was unsafe and I had every confidence while she was here she was well looked after.

My mother has been a resident at Baytree for several years. She is 101 years old, blind and has dementia. She is well-fed, warm and cared for to a high standard. The staff are polite and always happy to chat and have a laugh, what more could you wish for.

In all aspects of care for my mother, the staff have been competent, professional, friendly and willing to achieve the best they can for the resident and family. They are being led by a strong leader who in turn helps them achieve their full potential and this reflects in job satisfaction and well run
happy care home.

It is an excellent care home. The staff genuinely care for their residents. They have fine with them and always listen to them. The food is of excellent quality and prepared thoughtfully, varied and tasty. Cleanliness is excellent throughout the Baytree and decoration is kept up to date. They celebrate
everything with the residents involving them in staff celebrations, St Patrick's Day and Easter, they recently had 'Thatching Chikcens' which the residents adored!

Baytree Court is a good caring home. Unfortunately because of Covid the activities have been very much curtailed. Entertainers and speakers have not been to visit and there is very little to occupy the residents.

Baytree Court is an exceptional home. The staff are very caring and are like a second family. They always do their best to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend them in fact I have on numerous occasions referred people to them. Keep up the good work. Especially
through the last few months of the Covid-19 virus, they have gone above and beyond what is normal to make sure we are all reassured and happy.

My mum has been a resident for over four years, self-funding. While I can’t say it’s been perfect all that time, what is important is the quality of communication.
The vast majority of the staff are really good and I know who I go to should I have concerns.
The past four months have been exceptional
for residents, staff and management as well as the resident's families.
Baytree Court have surpassed my expectations, initially, there was a lack of communication but a few weeks into the lockdown regular updates from the manager. Any questions I raised were answered in full as far as could be without giving personal information.
They worked out a way of providing window visits as soon as they could. Brilliant organisation, pre-booked with time restrictions to allow all families an opportunity to see their loved ones.
Every member of staff have worked so hard to ensure the safety of the residents so it’s not really fair to identify individuals but to two members of staff - thank you.

I can not recommend this home highly enough, they cared for my mum through to the end of her life, with love, dignity and professionalism.
Mum made Baytree her home for over 3 years, making the staff part of her extended family and when mum became ill with progressive dementia they all made her feel
safe and loved whilst changing the way she was cared for meeting all of her needs.
All the staff and fantastic manager has been so helpful and caring since Mum's passing. I would not hesitate recommending this residential care home. A++++.

My husband's previous care home had closed so had to find another place. Baytree went straight to the top of my list. Welcoming, bright, clean and fresh with readily available staff and management. Husband loves the food, care is exemplary. Medication sorted and he is so much improved. He has been at
Baytree only a short time but what a great move.

Extremely happy with care as a whole. Home's manager is approachable and friendly as are all of the staff, rooms are decorated tastefully and very clean as is the rest of the home. Always smells fresh and clean when visiting but most importantly, I know my relative is cared for very well and I'm informed
of anything that may occur or any suggestions they have that benefit my relative. As someone who works in care, by my own admission, I'm picky but I've found it hard to find any fault with this lovely care home!

My father is cared for in bed now and I always find him comfy, clean and warm.
The meals are excellent.
When he was more mobile he enjoyed trips out and activities especially the entertainment.
Problems are ironed out very quickly and the manager's door is always open.
Staff are friendly and a member
of staff, the first face you see on arrival (in the office) is always helpful and cheery.

The staff will always go the extra mile when possible. My mum and dad celebrated their Diamond Wedding Aniversary and everything possible was done to make it a very special occasion. The dining room had been decorated ready for afternoon tea with our family and friends. Press had been invited and Mum
had been resing all day to allow her the best possible time with us. So many memories were created that afternoon.
I am always kept up to date with a problem.
Thank you.

The care home was very open and inviting. Mum's needs were all met with friendly staff that had time for her. She was made welcome from the time she went in, to the time she went home. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
If Mum needed the help again we would not hesitate to go back. We would also
recommend it to others.

Everyone's concern when a loved one goes into a care home is that they are well cared for. Well, I can honestly say I have no reservations regarding Baytree Court. The staff are loving and caring towards the residents and always willing to " go the extra mile" for the residents. The rooms and public
areas are always kept spotlessly clean and there is always a welcome when you visit .
The food is beautiful, freshly cooked every day and the special afternoon teas are very yummy indeed . I have spoken to other residents in the home and they are of a similar opinion .
We as a family are happy that our mum is happy, cared for, and well looked after. Coupled with all of that there is a management at the home who always have an open door to help with any concerns you may have or just need a natter!

My mother who is 88 went to Baytree Court one year ago for respite care due to her physical and memory problems, she loved it so much she didn’t want to return home. The staff look after mum like she was their own, she wants for nothing and is so happy which is a huge relief for our family. All the
services from the food, cleanliness, care and activities are excellent. Thank you to all concerned at Baytree Court for everything you do, all homes should be like this.

Mum came for respite from the hospital only to find on admission that her room had a divider that was a standard door to the adjacent room!

The adjacent occupant had his TV back to the door and it was like being in the same room but no control at all over sound volume - Respite, no chance.

Only

stayed 5 days absolutely appalling.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.612)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.612) out of 10 for Baytree Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.712 for Baytree Court is calculated as follows: ( (142 Excellents x 5) + (43 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 191 Ratings = 4.712
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Baytree Court is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 34 registered maximum number of service users is 6.8, which has been reached with 16 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
