Meals, activities, and everyday support are planned around residents at Ardnahein. The team works closely with residents and their families, keeping communication open as needs or wishes change. Short respite stays may also be available, allowing guests to experience life at the home while receiving care tailored to individual needs.

At Ardnahein Care, our weekly fee includes accommodation, meals, laundry, personal care, heating, lighting, and a full programme of activities and entertainment. We want residents to feel at home and families to understand the costs from the outset.
Self-funded residential care is £1,600–£1,650 per week, depending on individual needs. Short respite stays start from £1,800 per week, subject to availability and assessment.
Optional extras may include hairdressing or barber services, toiletries bought from Ardnahein, tuck shop purchases, personal newspapers or magazines, private chiropody or other specialist services, and costs associated with outings, such as tickets or meals out. We explain these charges in advance and itemise them on the monthly invoice.
We welcome privately funded and local authority funded residents. Where a local authority placement involves a top-up, we discuss the arrangement with the local authority and the person paying it, and document the agreed amount before admission. Our management team is always happy to talk through fees and answer any questions.

My mother was in the care home for a number of years. When she moved into Ardnahein she began a new chapter of her life. It completely changed her quality of life. She had company and as many activities as she could wish for. She was very well cared for and felt very much at home. She was provided with the care, comfort and security that she needed. It also took pressure off the rest of the family knowing that she was both safe and secure. She enjoyed her food and the variety that was on offer. It was very much her home, just as it is for the other residents. Together with the carers and staff it is all one family. Unfortunately Mum passed away recently, however I do know that she really enjoyed her latter years in Ardnahein. I must thank all at Ardnahein for looking after her so well and supporting her and her family.

Our Aunt has recently moved in and it was our first time visiting. We were met with friendly accommodating staff who answered all our questions with professionalism. We were shown to the family room to have our visit as there were 4 of us and offered refreshments which was a lovely touch and gave us a little private time with our aunt. The premises is well presented very bright and light and spotlessly clean, the staff are constantly available to all residents and whilst we were there we moved to the little cafe they have and the staff were running activities for the other residents which was lovely to see and the enjoy. You have a fabulous facility and fantastic staff.
