I am so grateful to the team at Ardnahein for the peace of mind they give me, knowing that my mother is safe, cared for and being given the best life.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review, it is a pleasure having your mum here as part of the Ardnahein Family.
Our Aunt has recently moved in and it was our first time visiting. We were met with friendly accommodating staff who answered all our questions with professionalism. We were shown to the family room to have our visit as there were 4 of us and offered refreshments which was a lovely touch and gave us a little private time with our aunt. The premises is well presented very bright and light and spotlessly clean, the staff are constantly available to all residents and whilst we were there we moved to the little cafe they have and the staff were running activities for the other residents which was lovely to see and the enjoy. You have a fabulous facility and fantastic staff.
We're so pleased your first visit felt welcoming and relaxed. Spending quality time with family is so important, and we're glad the family room and those little touches helped make that time with your aunt feel special...
I live in New Zealand, so knowing my mum is cared for in a loving and caring environment is very important to me. I see daily updates from social media on what they get up to, and it is a huge piece of mind to me to see my mum looking so well cared for.
We understand how difficult it can be when families live far away, which is why we love sharing...
My grandma resides here, this is my first time visiting after a very difficult and worrying time due to a decline in her condition. I can honestly say I am so impressed with the care, love and support she receives. This isn't just a care home, this is her home and a solid family style unit. Nothing is ever too much for any member of staff. My grandma is happy and comfortable, and this is because of the dedication and commitment of the staff members. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do for every resident here. This was the most difficult decision we ever had to make as a family choosing care, but thanks to Ardnahein, it's been the best decision we ever made.
Choosing care is never an easy decision, and we're honoured that you've trusted us with...
Cannot find fault with the quality of care at Ardnahein - it has been entirely consistent over the past two years. There is an unchanged core of staff who clearly enjoy looking after the old folk. The building itself is not state of the art, and appears to increase staff work load but not to the detriment of residents.
I visited a friend, a new resident, in Ardnahein today. A first time for me. From the moment I entered the care home, I was made very welcome. Everyone was so attentive and happy. Upstairs in the lounge, where one of the staff escorted me, a good number of staff were present serving drinks to the residents. The atmosphere was cheerful, and the staff happily engaged with the resident. I felt that they couldn't do enough for them. I have never visited a care home such as Ardnahein. Well done, everyone.
The staff are always friendly to us when we visit. They take care to know who we are and to update us on how mum has been and this is without them having to check in any notes - they just know, such is the level of care and attention given by the staff to the residents.
As a family, we would struggle to find any fault with Ardnahein - we are enormously grateful to all of the staff for the dignity with which they care for their residents, and we can't recommend Ardnahein Care, in Dunoon, highly enough.
Thank you so much for your wonderful words. It means the world to our whole team to know your mum feels happy, comfortable, and cared for here at Ardnahein. We take great pride in creating a genuine "home from home" environment where every resident is known and valued as an individual. Your...
Not a problem to take my Aunt out .
It's nice for all the family to know she is getting taken care by very nice staff
My aunt is living there.and she is very happy and the staff are very nice and very helpful. They have a lot off entertainment and the local nursery children come in and the residents like it.The room my aunt is in is very nice and comfortable..and the menu is really good. When we come over the staff let's us in and offer us tea.
My mum went in to Ardenhein care home over 2 years ago did think she would be with us for much longer but being in there has gave her life happiness and strength. The staff are amazing and the managers door is always open it is just one big family it is spotless , the food is great, and the things that get to do and go to is brilliant. To some it up if ever care home in uk was like this it would be a better place, and if the rest of the world did the same then it would be better place as well
My mother has been a resident since August 2024 and I can honestly say she is far happier and more focused than she has been for years. All the staff are fantastic, making the residents feel loved and at home. My mum celebrated her 100th birthday on 2nd April and all the staff made her day very special indeed. I have nothing but praise for all of them!
Thank you for taking the time in giving us this beautiful feedback.

My wife and I visited this care home on the 10th of January 2025 to see our aunt on her 103rd birthday. We found the overall experience excellent and the staff were most obliging. It is very reassuring to know our aunt is in such capable hands. I have only rated things pertaining to our visit.
Thank you for your lovely feedback and we look forward to many more visits.
I cannot say how impressed we have been with Ardnahein Care since the day Mum arrived. The staff are amazing and their level of care, kindness and support to Mum is exceptional! In my opinion, I would say that Ardnahein Care is more a home from home for Mum and we as a family feel very grateful to the staff for all their kind care and support!
Thank you for taking the time to give such lovely feedback. We are truly blessed to have wonderful families and loved ones who support and recognize Ardnaheins's Ethos.
Pleasant, clean, and friendly. Staff are excellent, helpful and caring.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. I will ensure that all our staff see this wonderful review.
My uncle has been a resident since June 2024 as he was no longer able to cope with stairs due to lack of mobility. He was initially concerned how he would adapt and cope after living on his own for 13 years. He has settled in quickly, knows all the staff by their first name, has gained weight and is much more positive in his outlook. As someone who has never participated in family games at Christmas, he is participating in all the wonderful activities that two particular members of staff dream up and is always the first to volunteer for any new experience. I knew from previous experience 2015 - 2020 how good the home was but the whole experience is even better than it was five years ago. My uncle is happy, we are happy and so are all his many visitors and social media followers.
Many thanks for the lovely feedback given. I will pass on to all our staff for the recognition they fully deserve.
