On each visit, I have found the staff to be courteous, pleasant and welcoming. They appear to treat the residents with patience and care, addressing them by name and taking time to communicate with them.
When I collected him, I found that his pants were put on crooked and his genitals were exposed. His leg bag was incorrectly positioned with tapes outside and his hearing aid was not fitted in his ear.
One item was missing upon his return.
Thank you for your comments - we are pleased to hear that your husband enjoyed his recent return visit to us. We were sorry to hear that some aspects of your husband's personal care were not up to our usual high standard. Please accept our apologies along with our assurances that additional...
My observation is that my friend is so relaxed, so comfortable, so well cared for, so well-fed and so grateful to all the staff for their kindness, care and smiles.
Catherine thank you very much for your positive review of the care at Ardnahein.
I cannot commend Ardnahein enough in the care of my relative. All staff are friendly, approachable and able to help with any questions I had quickly. My relative has been treated with dignity and respect at all times.
Ardnahein Management wish to thank you for your very positive review of our service.
My father has been a resident at Ardnahein since October 2018. He suffers from dementia and various other related and non-related health problems. The staff have been nothing short of amazing in the care they provide for him. His care plan is tailored and adapted to his ever-changing needs and is met in every way, particularly as his health is deteriorating. He has a lovely clean, warm room with en-suite facilities. The care staff engage and interact with him keeping his spirits up as he has lost his mobility and is now virtually bed bound, but they manage to get a laugh and joke with him, which is so important to him. Even more important they treat him as a person, not just someone they look after, giving him dignity and respect and getting to know him, his sense of humour and his interests. I honestly cannot praise the staff of this care home enough - from the manager to the domestic staff and everyone in between they are so caring and friendly and dedicated to what they do.
Thank you so much for your kind words; your comments mean a great deal to our staff team. We appreciate you taking the time to review your positive experience at Ardnahein.
Very caring and helpful.
Many thanks for your review of our service, this is very much appreciated.
Very few you can have a conversation with. So many noisy dementia residents, so I stay in my room a lot. Short of small walks.
Really excellent care and attention in a well run and very friendly home. Made at ease from first minute of entry and all during the stay.
My mother has been in this home for several months now. She has made great health improvements since being admitted as she requires lots of attention and company. Her diet has also improved. Please thank all the staff for their kind support.
This was my shortest visit to Ardnahein (8 days) and again I can't praise all staff enough. This time my room was ensuite which made things much easier for me. I should have said this was my 4th visit.
During and since this initial period my aunt has always praised the staff. She finds everyone kind and helpful and is independent enough and very sociable to have struck up good relationships with everyone. Staff understand and respect when she isn't having a good day and know it will resolve. The accommodation and catering are of a good standard and the ongoing upgrading of the facilities will enhance this.
Staff are always approachable when I phone to speak to my aunt and equally when I visit. My only wish is there was more opportunity for my aunt to go out more often. However, I know overall my aunt is happy and settled and therefore I am happy and confident that all her needs are being met.
Thank you for your review Sheila. We will look to provide your Aunt with more opportunity to visit the community.
