Overall Experience

This is a lovely modern care home with excellent management and first-class care staff. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, approachable and nothing is too much trouble. My Mother very recently moved into this home during COVID-19 and is settling well due to the hard work and high standards of care being provided by staff. She particularly enjoys walks in the beautiful walled garden, varied activities which she is encouraged to take part in and her time spent in the hair and nail salon. I am kept fully up to date with Mum's wellbeing and I am confident she is safe, comfortable, well looked after and her best interests are being met by all members of staff. I would highly recommend this home.

My mother has been a resident here for 2-years and has always been cared for in not only a professional manner but made to feel as much like being in her own home as possible. Staff are friendly and also take time for family and friends visiting. Now, more than ever, the efforts of the staff can be seen during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Templeton House offers a high-quality service to both residents and their families. Having a close relative who has resided there for several years I have found the staff to be friendly, flexible, professional, helpful and supportive. Residents are treated with dignity and respect and the care home is kept very clean, warm and bright. Throughout the year many festive activities are arranged for the residents including Christmas, New Year, Burns Day, Easter as well as for special anniversaries and birthdays. The gardens are well maintained providing a nice outdoor space for residents to enjoy the sunshine. Overall, I am very impressed with the standards offered by the care home which, even in this time of crisis because of coronavirus, has continued to provide a high quality of service throughout the pandemic. Thanks to the manageress and her team of carers for all their hard work.

Overall Experience

My mum had been admitted to Templeton House from hospital and if it hadn’t been for the new manager’s compassionate understanding and exceptional effort that went above and beyond anything I had ever expected, my mum would not have had as smooth a transition. This has been a stressful time for my mum being in hospital for many months, and if not for the manager, who showed genuine care for helping get my mum into Templeton House and therefore keeping her spirits high, for that I am extremely grateful. My mum is looking forward to her time at Templeton House and can be assured that the standard of care and compassion shown by the manager, will also be shown through the rest of the staff at Templeton House to make her feel safe, homely and happy in her new environment. It’s not just myself who is grateful to the manager but the rest of the family for making this happen for my mum, as it’s clear she will be cared for by the team at Templeton House who genuinely care. Thank you.

Overall we are very happy with the standard of care and service provided. Staff are always helpful and professional, assuring us that Mum is safe and happy. A new manager has been appointed since we first had Mum as a resident and changes for the better have been made. Activities and entertainment have improved and Mum is always encouraged to be a part of this. Thank you for ensuring my mum is enjoying her time in her new home.

Templeton House is lovely, the decoration, pictures, fixtures to fittings are excellent. Staff are attentive, pleasant and know all clients by name. The activities are great, the entertainment varied and good. The hair salon/nail salon are good and the staff there are excellent.

My mother loves the food and that company, dental, foot and nursing care are all good. The gardens are beautiful with lots of enrichment ideas. Trips out are frequent. I have no worries about leaving my mother with you. Thanks.

Overall this is a good facility with staff who by and large care about what they do and the quality of the service provided in what are very difficult circumstances. Have had no contact with management - somewhat disappointing.
