Dalnaglar Care Home

Without a doubt, my sister who is a challenge at times has had the utmost best care I could wish for her. She is well looked after by everyone. The staff are fabulous. I do feel so much more settled knowing she is looked after. The standards are high as well. The food is lovely and it's spotlessly clean. The activities they put on for the residents are fabulous, always something going on. I have seen a vast improvement in my sister since she moved here. I thank you all for the care of my sister.

I would like to pay tribute to the management and all of the hardworking, dedicated staff at Dalnaglar. I thank each and every one of them for all of their hard work and dedication, each and every working day. The last couple of years, during the Covid pandemic, have been particularly testing, with even more demands being required of the staff. Their professionalism has never waivered and they have continued to deliver a friendly and efficient service that they should be proud of. My elderly mother has been looked after very well since becoming a resident back in 2019. She has a lovely room, her every need is taken care of, the home is kept clean and tidy and she is very content there.

I am well pleased that my wife enjoys the competent, professional care and whole sympathetic nursing qualities that are very evident at Dalnaglar. In my opinion, she is very fortunate to have been accepted as a long-term patient into the Balhousie facility.

My mother's care from the very first day she arrived at Dalnaglar has been consistently excellent. All staff do their very best to ensure resident's safety, happiness and health. The building is warm and fresh to be in. Staff listen to the relatives and are so quick to phone to tell you anything you should know. I couldn't do what they do - thank you to all.

I believe they are doing the best that they can while keeping in line with the current restrictions.

My mother has been a resident in Dalnaglar for nearly 3 years and during the last three months, especially, the staff have demonstrated a very caring attitude. There has been very good communication between the home and relatives with lots of pictures on the family and friend's Facebook page. There are many varied activities each week and we can easily keep in touch via Skype. When phoning to arrange a Skype call it is effortlessly arranged and staff are on hand to support my mother, who finds communication difficult. It is so reassuring to see her and know that she is being well looked after.

Our family have been very impressed with the care and support our elderly Aunt has received throughout her time at Dalnaglar but particularly during the Coronavirus Pandemic. They have worked tirelessly to ensure that residents and staff are protected as far as humanly possible from contracting the virus, and to ensure that families are kept informed and in touch with their relatives. They have also maintained a busy and engaging schedule for the residents and we are extremely grateful to them all for the proactive communication which has helped to lessen the impact of not being able to visit them.

Staff were very caring and professional to my husband, myself and daughter. Excellent care home. Well impressed, we will definitely put my husband in care again.

Each carer has excellent rapport with the residents.

My mum is so well cared for in Balhousie Dalnaglar Care Home, the staff are very respectful to mum and all mums visitors, The new management team have turned the home around and are very approachable. Very nice care home and staff and management are brilliant

In general, the home is of a good standard. Rooms are well furnished and you can take your own if desired. It is now under a new manager who is trying to get more furnishings and to get more activities organised. Staff are polite and helpful.
