I am able to visit him at any time and always feel welcome. I have joined him at meal times and observed that the food is nourishing and well presented
Alastrean is in a beautiful setting and is very well maintained and managed. Pets are welcome at anytime.
Overall, I am delighted with the home and feel that my husband could not be in a better place.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. Your feedback is very important to us. We were aware of the issues you have outlined and tackled them quickly at the time they were brought to attention, as we take all information received from residents and their loved ones seriously. We understand, the issues you have raised were addressed both over email and in a face to face meeting. Although an initial preassessment of your father was carried out by the manager, we were initially unaware of his increased needs upon being admitted to the home. As a result, the team would have to nurse him in the dementia unit during the day, then he would sleep in the nursing unit by night. The team did all they could to accommodate, but we are saddened to hear we didn't meet your expectations.
