Review of Antiquary Care Home from Donna G (Partner of Resident) published on 11 September 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Based on my interaction with Sarah of Antiquary House - by telephone, in person at my boyfriends home and also in the care home - I have been wholly impressed with the transparency.proactiveness/quick communication/sincerety which comes across from the manager. Importantly, this is demonstrated in the interactions which I have seen with staff to residents and in the direct case of my boyfriend. What is hugely important is the appearance of staff & the manager to deal with my boyfriend's diagnosis of Huntington's disease (of 14 years now) as well as the engagement with the HD advisor who is also visible in communication with Antiquary House.

Review of Coupar Angus Care Home from J M (Friend of Resident) published on 8 September 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
Staff - all very friendly and welcoming. Attentive to service users. Anytime I have raised concerns about care concerns, the staff have dealt with them promptly.
Food - menus come from head office, so no flexibility for local staff. A lot of carbohydrates served e.g potatoes and pasta on the same plate. Too many 'heavy meals' for residents, who are mostly sedentary.
Activities - wonderful selection on offer

Facilities - building tired + neglected looking - garden is overgrown and not nice to sit in.

Review of Wheatlands Care Home from Alasdair C (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 3 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mother inlaw has been in Wheatlands for about 2 years. In that time, the staff have been excellent in making her feel welcome and safe. Although late stage dementia, she always says "it's nice here. I like it". Very comforting for her daughter who is finding the whole thing very stressful as I know many relatives do. Staff always keep us up to date with any issues and have dealt very well with the challenges margaret throws at them. Any time I visit, the home is always very clean and relaxing. I've seen the improvements first hand and they are coming along nicely. Staff are always helpful and are happy to help with any requests we make. 6 monthly assessments are informative. Thank you to all the staff.

Review of My Mum's Care

My mum receives truly wonderful care at Wheatlands. The staff don't just look after her - they care about her, and it shows in everything they do. There is a real sense of love, warmth and fun in the way they interact with her, and it means the world to see her surrounded by people who genuinely enjoy spending time with her.

She is always well looked after, supported with kindness, and treated with dignity. The team know her personality, her 'wee' quirks, and what makes her smile. You can feel the affection they have for her, and it gives me (and all her family) such comfort knowing she is cared for by people who "love" her in their own way - not just as a resident, but as a person they've come to know and cherish.

The laughter, the gentle reassurance, the familiar faces, and the joy they bring into her day make such a difference. I'm deeply grateful for the love, care and fun she receives from the staff, and for the safe, happy environment they create!

Overall Experience

Dad has been in Balhousie Pitlochry since Dec 2025. After an initial period, which was quite unsettled, Dad has settled very well into his new home. Personally I only have absolute praise for all the staff that are here at Balhousie Pitlochry. Everyone is very welcoming and good with Dad. The staff keep me full informed of what has been happening with Dad's day and if anything has happened that I need to know about. Dad is well looked after and I am completely happy with all aspects of Dad's care.

Overall Experience
My Mother has been in Balhousie for over a year and we cannot thank the staff enough. My Mother has been well looked after and her needs have been met.

I would have no worries about recommending this care home to others, it has given the family great peace of mind to know that Mum is well looked after.
