My husband received excellent nursing care during his stay in this nursing home. The staff showed kindness and respect with everyone being treated with dignity, residents, all staff and visitors. My husband was a valued person as a resident and his preferences were always taken account of. As a relative, I was supported by the senior team and floor staff. There is excellent ethical support from the hospital for therapy services.

Throughout Mummy's stay, the Acorn Lodge staff treated her with dignity, respect, kindness and love. The staff are such special people, who made an invaluable impact at the end of Mummy's life - and on our lives too. We will forever be touched by their kindness and empathy.

The Care staff were very caring, and showed nothing but kindness to my Grandad during his end of life. They ensured his dignity and comfort throughout his short stay with the home. Excellent communication from the home, ensured I could be there when he passed. I can't thank the home enough for making the last Chapter of his life the most comfortable and dignified as possible.

My father was at Acorn Lodge for just over 3 years. All the staff looked after him with great care. We could not have wished for better. Sadly, he died on 8th October 2025 in the early hours of the morning. All the staff were just wonderful.

Overall Experience
At the first viewing, I was very impressed with the place.
The office staff were very helpful and supportive and always ready to help.
Compared to her previous care home in Enfield, where there was no improvement in her health and her disability is worse. She would be in tears sometimes when we visited.
Acorns Lodge Care Home care workers are friendly and caring, I can see the difference on my aunt's face, she smiles. She's starting to say a few words.
Now when I ask her if she like this place, she said yes.

This is an amazing care home.

Absolutely amazing care for my mum from all the staff at Acorn Lodge. My mum came in during lockdown, which could have been so difficult, but she was made to feel at home straight away even under lockdown circumstances. As my mum's illness progressed the staff were sensitive to her changing needs and helped her maintain her dignity right up until the end. I'm moved to tears when I think of the kindness shown to my mum, from all the staff but a special thank you to 2 members of staff in particular who were there at the end. My sister and I are so grateful to you all.

Mum was only at Acorn Lodge Care Centre for a short time, but the staff made her happy during this time until she passed away. All the staff, without exception, were so kind and caring, towards Mum and the rest of the family, and it was a great relief to know that Mum was receiving 24/7 care from such lovely people. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursing home, especially for people suffering with dementia - the staff are highly trained, and seemed to have a solution for any problem. Thank you so much for taking care of Mum, and for your support on that last day.

A truly amazing place of care! Every single member of staff at Acorn Lodge was responsible for making the last two years of my mother's life some of the happiest and safest. Mum came during the lockdown, the transition could have been extremely traumatic for her but the care support and love shown towards her during a time when I could not see her meant that there was no trauma only a real sense of safety and calm. In my absence, the staff at Acorn Lodge became her family, they cared for her tirelessly and lovingly and I will forever be grateful. She was treated with the utmost respect; despite her declining health, they enabled her to maintain her dignity and her best interest was always at the heart of every decision made about her care. Knowing that she was cared for in such a beautiful way afforded me the peace of mind needed. What they do at Acorn Lodge cannot simply be defined as just care it's far more than that. From the depths of my heart Acorn Lodge, thank you.

The staff at Acorn Lodge made my mother's last two months very comfortable. The care they gave her was extremely good. They also made visitors welcome. Over the Jubilee weekend they laid on a party for the residents and invited relatives and friends to attend as well. I would highly recommend this Care Home.

Our mum came to Acorn Lodge during lockdown, this was a very difficult time but the staff here made it so much better. They facilitated phone calls, FaceTime, and outdoor visits. They made our mum's room homely and put her familiar pictures, ornaments, and photos all around her so she felt at home. Now we can visit in her room we can see for ourselves how caring all the staff are, this care home has such a caring, friendly and family atmosphere. We are so grateful.

Acorn Lodge provided very warm and caring support for Mum. The staff took the time to get to know her and understand her moods and preferences. Overall Experience

My mum was a resident at this care home for 4 years and was bed-bound throughout this period. It was a really difficult time for her, physically and mentally. The staff showed amazing patience, skill and humanity, learning to understand her and to provide the best care possible. She was kept in better health than in a previous care home, and developed bonds with a number of carers, due to their consistent kindness and sensitivity. There is no agency staff, and so my mum did not have to get used to new carers very often, which would have been hard for her. The home is extremely well managed, and even during the pandemic, the staff were upbeat and confidence-inspiring. The phone is always answered and queries are dealt with quickly and helpfully by the office team. Over the years, the staff supported me and my family, as well as my mother, and I feel I owe them all a huge debt of gratitude for the care and compassion that they showed to all of us.
