Acorn Lodge Care Centre

Being able to visit and see our mum in the garden room is not ideal although the staff make it special and interact in a lovely way with all parties. I would recommend Acorn Lodge to everyone.

Everyone in Acorn Lodge has been amazing. Always available to help and support, giving regular updates and information. They deliver a high standard of care.

My mother was a resident at Acorn Lodge for nearly five years. She has limited capacity when she arrived and none for over three years. She could not have been more vulnerable, but not once did I have the slightest concern of her wellbeing - she was always scrupulously clean and always dressed nicely. Her skin, even when bed-bound was always perfect, and her posture was maintained. Obviously, there was a turnover in staff over this period, but the high standards always remained the same, which must reflect well on the expectations of the management and the training given.

My mum had the best care in this nursing home by all the staff. I like to recommend this care home to all my family and friends. Mum had a very happy five years care at this care home. Thanks for everything from all the family.

Couldn't be more pleased with the care and support my Dad's received. His wellbeing and health has thrived during his stay at Acorn Lodge. The consistency of staff and professionalism of management is excellent.

My father was very happy in Acron Lodge. He knew and trusted his nurses and carers. They are patient, kind and welcomed. He enjoyed taking part in the activities when he first arrived and he although his health gradually declined, there was always something to occupy him.

For the 5-6 years, my late mother was there as a bed-bound patient, I can only say the love, care and attention she received was second to none and without a doubt made her final years a period of happiness and dignity.

I cannot praise the staff and nurses highly enough.

My aunt was in Acorn Lodge for over 5 years until her death in January 2018.

In the seven months my sister has been in Acorn Lodge we have been happy with our experience so far. I am happy with the level of care she receives. The staff at Acorn Lodge are friendly and respectful.

This care home was outstanding for my Mum who recently passed away. My dad is still a resident here, he is happy. Activities are second to none. There is always someone to talk to, to raise concerns with. Space in the garden is lovely in the summer. Rooms clean. All staff are fabulous and friendly.

The staff at Acorn Lodge were extremely helpful, friendly and caring. They really took good care of my sister.

My husband spent the last 3 years of his life in the above-named care home. I felt he was getting excellent care at all times. The staff were wonderful in every way. They were very supportive to me at all times. The media only reports bad press, it's about time someone speaks of the great care that is out there for the residents and family.

My Uncle has been at Acorn Lodge for over a year. He is bed-bound after a stroke. The care and professional help he receives is amazing! The staff care about their residents and their individual needs. I feel happy and know that my Uncle is safe and looked after by wonderful staff.

Dad has been here for 5 years and we are very happy with the service. The home is kept to a very good standard from the care my dad receives to the cleanliness of the entire home. Though Dad does not take part in the activities there, there is a lot available.

It is a very friendly atmosphere and the carers are very caring and try to accommodate as best they can their needs.

Mum's place was self funded and we felt that the care was good value. I would recommend Acorn Lodge.
