Sadly mum came to Ravenscourt for palliative care so could not appreciate the excellent service provided by "team Ravenscourt".
The staff were absolutely fabulous and went above and beyond just looking after their residents. As a family we were treated with care and consideration in every detail.
Felt very happy that mum was getting the best of care at Ravenscourt. Even after mum passed away she was treated with the utmost respect. Superb care.

I am very impressed with the service in this care home. I came to visit the former client and found her much for settled than in the place she was previously. The staff are friendly, warm and caring. The facilities are clean and well-suited for her care. The atmosphere and ambience of the care home
are beautiful and comfortable. This is an excellent standard on a whole.

The first thing that struck me about Ravenscourt was how approachable the management/Admin team were and how they listened to you - resolving any worries/concerns the family had - it is never easy to put someone into a care home. Nursing staff and carers treat residents with respect and dignity for
their day-to-day needs. All the staff were friendly and made Dad feel welcome and went out of their way to assist him - particularly one of the cooks who would encourage him to eat by making him a special meal to cater for his dwindling appetite. We had many a long conversation of what my father fancied to eat. The laundry/cleaning/maintenance /entertainment staff were all committed to keeping the home tidy, safe, and residents happy. Dad was in the home just short of 2 years and I always felt comfortable in approaching staff - I never felt like I was being a nuisance.

I can't speak highly enough of this care home. My Grand Uncle has been her for some time now and the experience has been nothing short of wonderful. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive and professional, always going above and beyond to make sure residents are comfortable and well cared for.The
environment is clean, welcoming and peaceful, most importantly, my Grand Uncle has expressed to me how happy and content he feels living here. He gives the whole family peace of mind knowing he is in such good hands. Highly recommend.

When all my options to keep my mom at home with me and care lapses I decided to admit her at a home. I have been to many homes and Ashton Lodge was the best choice and reluctantly admitted her there.
My selection was very good and since day 1 I noticed and appreciated the way the staff cared my mother.
The
home has very dedicated team and very helpful. Now I have no worries at all over my mom.

I was visiting my mum and having a cup of tea in the main lounge - the nurse on duty was playing music and singing - encouraging the residents to join in - calling their names and it created a lovely inclusive atmosphere. It wasn't too loud/raucous/was just very nice and happy.

We have a relative in this care home and we couldn't have been happier when they first went there. The staff are absolutely amazing. They really do care and go beyond normal service to help everyone. The problem now is that they don't have enough staff on duty to properly care for all the residents
. Sometimes if there is an emergency residents can be waiting up to an hour before someone gets to them. We have had to phone them to ask why no one is answering the call button? They are understaffed which is a worry for all.
Reply from Carla Carvalho, Manager at Ashton Lodge

We truly appreciate all feedback as it helps us to continually improve the care and support we provide. We are proud of our dedicated team, who consistently go above and beyond to provide high-quality, compassionate care to all residents. Our staffing levels are carefully maintained to ensure we are fully staffed at all times, with appropriate skill mix to meet the needs of those living in the home. While any care environment may occasionally experience short delays during unexpected emergencies, staff are trained to respond promptly and prioritise resident safety and wellbeing at all times. Systems are in place to ensure that residents calls for assistance are answered as quickly as possible, and these are monitored regularly. We remain committed to maintaining a safe, well-supported environment where residents feel cared for, families feel reassured, and quality of life is always at the heart of what we do.

The care home is spacious and well laid out. The staff accepted that the resident was very unhappy about being in the care home and resentful about that. They did not treat her worse because she was so unhappy. They were flexible in responding to her wishes to have escorted trips outside. One aspect
that was not satisfactory was that the food was not suitable. It was tailored to the extent that it was vegetarian, but it was too bland for her. The resident difficult to tailor adequately.

Mornington Hall is very clean and well run. The staff are kind and helpful to the residents and visitors. Our friend has placed here after hospitalisation. She always wanted to go back to her own home, and has now been returned to her home on a trial run. The staff chatted with her, She could not have
conversations with the other residents many of whom lived in fantasy worlds. She was a football fan and the home did not have subscription channels. The staff enabled her friends and take her to the local pub. Medication was always given on time cannot comment on value for money, as I do not know the cost.
