My Father has been in this care home about 4 months now and he has improved so much and is much happier. The home is a very clean and safe environment and he gets along very well with all the staff. It is run very professionally and their standards are very high. From the maintenance, carers, office staff, nurses and management, he is treated with a great deal of care and dignity each knowing and addressing him by name whenever they are in contact with him. We feel very secure in the knowledge that he is checked upon each and every hour throughout the day and night. They have a professional hairdresser and chiropodist on site which he has used a couple of times so far who have seen him in his room as he is currently bed bound but they also have a salon conveniently located on the ground floor. This is so well priced and is actually cheaper than most high street salons. Alina, Georgiana & Anca have been so helpful to him and have played key roles in his development and progression.

Words can never fully express how grateful we are for the care our mum received at Ashton Lodge. Every member of staff showed such kindness, patience and dignity, warmth and respect at all times. Knowing she was surrounded by people who genuinely cared brought us great comfort during this difficult time. We will always be thankful for the love and care shown to our mum and to us. It meant more to us than words can say.

I attended the Halloween party and had an amazing time. The dancing was great and the magician showed us amazing tricks. He even gave me a personal magic trick, and that was amazing.

I am very impressed with the service in this care home. I came to visit the former client and found her much for settled than in the place she was previously. The staff are friendly, warm and caring. The facilities are clean and well-suited for her care. The atmosphere and ambience of the care home are beautiful and comfortable. This is an excellent standard on a whole.

When all my options to keep my mom at home with me and care lapses I decided to admit her at a home. I have been to many homes and Ashton Lodge was the best choice and reluctantly admitted her there.
My selection was very good and since day 1 I noticed and appreciated the way the staff cared my mother.

The home has very dedicated team and very helpful. Now I have no worries at all over my mom.

We have a relative in this care home and we couldn't have been happier when they first went there. The staff are absolutely amazing. They really do care and go beyond normal service to help everyone. The problem now is that they don't have enough staff on duty to properly care for all the residents . Sometimes if there is an emergency residents can be waiting up to an hour before someone gets to them. We have had to phone them to ask why no one is answering the call button? They are understaffed which is a worry for all.

My brother was in Ashton Lodge from 2019 until March 2025 when he died in the Royal Free. I was always struck by how patient the staff were when my brother, who had dementia shouted and became difficult. The staff were very kindly and tolerant. There was a lovely atmosphere to the care home, with lots of celebration for different festivals, Christmas, Hallowe'en, as well as festivals from other faiths, and the senior staff were very good at explaining things to me. Thank you very much! I am not sure how many stars to put for food and drink but he always liked it. And their party food was lovely.

In my experience with Ashton Lodge, the care staff are very supportive and caring, always there to help, and the nursing staff are very attentive and understanding and always make time when you need information or to talk. And the management team are fantastic, always friendly and helpful when problems need addressing.

All I can say is thank you so much to all the staff at Ashton Lodge for taking very good care of my friend.

The management and staff are fantastic. Whenever I visit my sister I can feel the warm atmosphere as soon as I arrive. The nurses and staff are extremely busy but they still find time to have a chat and a laugh with her. They also update us on her health issues and remind us of any hospital appointments. My sister likes one-to-one rather than group activities of which they have many to choose from. This is solved by the carers painting her nails or chatting about TV programmes with her. In conclusion, I am always impressed with the parties they have throughout the year both for residents and families celebrating Christmas and Valentines to name but two. I would certainly recommend Ashton Lodge for your loved one.

I am very happy with the service and care provided for my Mum who is a stroke patient. All the staff are very helpful, polite and go the extra mile when we have any concerns. Even the non-Gujarati staff make an effort to learn a few words to communicate with my Mum which I found very impressive. There is a minor concern that I would like addressed is that when I visit I find Mum in an uncomfortable position. More frequent checks to her room to address this would be great. Also, some of the bedding/linen/pillows could be replaced.

To all the staff and the manager, thank you for looking after my sister, as a family we couldn't have got better care for my sister.
She was shown respect dignity and kindness, we were met with kind caring staff each time we visited my sister. Again Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for providing care love and compassion to my sister. Working and running a nursing home is a very difficult job but I can say with certainty that an excellent job both by management and staff was offered to my sister. Also, her husband and siblings were shown great respect and help when required.
Thank you Aston Lodge staff and management for all the kindness and care you provide to my sister and my family and sister's husband, again

Regards.

When my Mother passed on just after her 104th Birthday I was quite touched that her carers came into her room and said a little prayer over her; she had been there for a little over 3 years, as her needs were becoming more complex and although her skin was thin and easily bruised they were generous in their efforts to protect it! Although she could barely construct a sentence they used their experience to estimate what she was in need of, including things like putting the TV on for her!

The food was varied and nourishing and she seemed to like the hot Chocolate a lot. The Nursing staff were kept busy with the variety of conditions presented and keen to help and encourage.
