Brook House Care Centre

The home itself is clean, but very hot! The manager us very lovely, welcoming and really informative. Basic accommodation, but Grandad is ok.

Staff are lovely. Dad has a very close relationship with his 1-2-1 carers. All staff are friendly and helpful, and they try their best to answer any questions they have.

Love the place, with good cleanliness, and helpful staff who are kind and treat people and visitors with dignity. Love the overall facilities so far well maintained. Good job keep it up, all round good, and a nice place. Well organised, fresh environment feels like home. Excellent!

My brother has not been here long but overall really pleased.

The activities staff here are exemplary. They radiate happiness and humour. They have a genuine concern for the spiritual welfare of the residents. They also genuinely enjoy each other's company and create an atmosphere of family and belonging. These are wonderful are rare qualities!

The Brook House cares for one of our members who use their services. They are very responsive. The manager and the staff are friendly. The home is neat. Overall, I think they are providing excellent services.

My mother has received wonderful care from the staff. When Mother entered the home she was not eating or drinking and was losing weight. Since then Mum has been eating well and drinking normally. The staff take time to speak to Mum, are always gentle with her. They always keep me informed of any changes that will affect my mother. I could not have asked for a better home.

The care home and staff are very good. They look after my husband very well. I know he is getting the best care from all the staff. They take care of his every need, and myself and my son know he's in the best care home. All the staff are kind and caring. We are happy because we know he's happy.

The staff are very kind and caring towards my mum. The home's approach/response to the pandemic has been outstanding. Communication with relatives is efficient and appropriate. My mum seems very calm here at Brooke House, considering her complex needs. Reception/finance and admin staff, are also very approachable and caring.

My mum was a resident from December 2020. She passed away under their care in February 2022. My mum was happy at Brook House Care Centre and was well cared for. One member of staff who cared for my mum’s medical needs was amazing with mum and was so supportive in every way.

Our dad went into Brook House on 1st June 2020 and sadly passed away on 30th August 2020. The staff who cared for our dad were absolutely amazing and made his stay with them as comfortable and as pleasant as it could be. They were also very kind and supportive to us as a family and we will always be grateful to the staff particularly on the first floor where Dad stayed. We would highly recommend this care home based on our experience.

Our dad was taken into Brook House 1st June this year. I have been very impressed with the way the staff have helped my dad. Especially during this very difficult time of COVID-19. It has been a very difficult time and they have been very patient and kept us informed at all times.

The two girls in reception are outstanding, always very polite, really lovely girls.

My mum spent five years at Brook House but sadly passed away this week. In those five years, I've never had cause to put forward a complaint. The staff have become valued friends, who treated Mum with the care and dignity she deserved. The grounds are kept clean and safe and although Mum was unable to partake in any of the activities or entertainment, I have witnessed these and the residents seem to enjoy them.

I have found the care home staff to always be very helpful and they clearly care for the residents and look after them as best they can. Whilst there have been some issues generally any problems are dealt with quickly. Overall, regardless of the various changes that have taken place the first focus is always the residents.

The handyman is always around to fix things promptly, the kitchen staff go out of their way to make sure the residents are happy with their meals, the office staff are always there to greet you with a friendly smile, activities staff go above and beyond to listen to what the residents want, lend a friendly ear and always have a smile on their face. The cleaning/laundry staff are friendly and do a great job and management will always listen to your concerns. I would highly recommend you take a look at Brook House and see for yourself.
