There are a range of visiting options to suit residents and loved ones. Visits can take place in resident's rooms, in the lounge or, on a nice day, in the gardens or the visiting pods. Regular visits are encouraged and video calls can also be arranged. A number of events are organised throughout the year that are open to friends and family.
The home have limited parking spaces, but there is on-street pay and display parking available.

The team works very hard to provide a warm and homely atmosphere - not just for residents but visitors too and they will be pleased that this is seen and acknowledged. In terms of outings, we are working closely with our Engagement Officer to ensure that all opportunities for activities and outings for our residents are explored and maximised and I know there are a number of plans underway for the coming months - more information on these will be shared within the home. My name is Alice Chaampa and I am the Administrator at Rathmore House where I have worked since March 2021. I started my career with Central & Cecil in 2019 as a Care Assistant at Compton Lodge – one of our other care homes – and previous to that I was an Administrator at the National Assembly which is a part of the Parliament in my Country.
I have a passion to make a difference in people’s lives. My work experience, family life and voluntary commitments have inevitably given me the opportunity to transfer my skills to my current position. I am self-motivated, reliable, patient, compassionate, enthusiastic, hard-working and always willing to help and learn from others.
My daily satisfaction - other than being a mother - is making that small difference in a person’s life: be that our residents, their loved ones and any other person that I come into contact with through my work.
Outside of my working profession I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies. In my free time I love music, cooking, family time and going to the cinema.
