Located on the outskirts of Beckenham, Bromley Park is a residential Care Centre providing specialist 24-hour nursing care for older people living with dementia. With outstanding amenities, the highly-skilled team of nurses and carers are dedicated to providing residents and loved ones with compassion, dignity and respect.

The Home is a large converted Georgian house, caring for up to 40 residents. The Home has a large, bright conservatory, TV lounge, visitors’ kitchenette, relatives’ room and an on-site hair salon. There is also a secure garden, designed to provide a peaceful and therapeutic environment.

Bromley Park's Recreation and Well-being team members ensure residents have access to tailored activities and entertainment seven days a week, to suit each person’s hobbies and interests, on an individual and group basis. These activities are designed for residents’ wellness, enjoyment and sense of well-being, including seated exercise classes and relaxing Namaste treatments. The Home also offers other complementary therapies and holistic treatments, using nurturing touch and massage.

One of the first care providers to champion the importance of nutrition for older people and those living with a Dementia, Nellsar employ a Head of Nutrition and Wellness for their Homes; they recognise that nutrition and hydration are an integral part of good health and well-being, delivering tailored, well-balanced, nutritious meals and snacks to residents every day.

Employing the Care Vision® digital care management system throughout the Home ensures that the entire care service delivery, recording and reporting systems are optimised and centred around residents and their personalised care.

From day one when the resident came to live at Bromley Park Care Home, she has excelled from the poor state of life (mind and body) to what she is now. Content, happy despite a few complaints in the early days from her, I do believe this is the best place for her, and I thank management and staff for
her continued care.

Was able to visit my father few times over two days as I have to travel long way to see. He was his usual self in my eyes but 'getting older' but his room is lovely and staff helpful.

The team at Bromley take great care of my Dad both in terms of his health and medical needs, his general well-being and his emotional and mental (health) needs. They are very responsiveness to any changes that mat be needed for Dad whilst ensuring he has his security and his dignity intact. All the
team members are aware of the various residents' individual patterns during the day and make sure there's variation in choices for suiting the needs. They're always available to us as relatives to help with various topics. Staff are very approachable and helpful to relatives.

The house was a good choice for a care home, large bright rooms looking onto a good few garden. Staff and management are always friendly and helpful, both to the residents and me, there is always an upbeat climate, quite different to the home my father was in. Pin numbers are used on the door.

My dad is very well cared for and loved by all his carers. Bromley Park provides personalised support for our dad and ensures his well-being and safety come first. Dad is happy in his "family", this is particular lovely for us as we do not live close by and can't visit very often. Bromley Park ensure
that we are kept informed of any changes in dad's care plans and his needs. They respond to our suggestions and discuss and explain clearly regarding dad's needs.

I always get a warm welcome when I visit, my husband is happy and well looked after. He enjoys the food. He often thinks he's in a hotel! He loves sitting in the lounge and we enjoy the decor and view of the garden.
The TV room has a very good, big screen.
We both enjoyed the Christmas party yesterday.
The singer was good and encouraged us all to sing along. There were canapes on offer in the dining room with delicious sausage rolls.
Also, rock music and we actually managed to join in the dancing!
I am 90 and my husband is 92 in January. Two staff members and I supported my husband. He could have done with a bigger bed.

My sister is a resident and I cannot fault the care and support I have also personally been given by senior staff - along with 'care and nursing staff - to help see her settle into Bromley Park Care Centre, since her arrival late 2023!
Overall, I have found all staff pleasant, caring, welcoming and
easy to communicate with and equally, have been contacted when necessary to discuss her care.
I find the ambience and furnishings, overall, of the home pleasant for those that wish to 'move around', including the lovely back garden grounds. Perhaps more 'activities' within for those that are 'able' to do so.
My sister has gradually settled down and it is with enormous gratitude I thank all whom have helped her do so! It is difficult sometimes for us, as their family/loved ones, to understand the world they now inhabit which, of course, is even more so for that person!
I would highly recommend Bromley Park Care Centre.

I think the care home could do with security cameras to make families as well as staff duties feel even more secure. The reason I say this is because my connection went into hospital with septic infection which was caused by a skin condition needing basic health care. The symptoms went undetected and
nearly caused death and if there were cameras, at least the situation with weeks/months leading up to the infection becoming septic, we would have proof of the negation. This would improve the awareness not only for families but for the management.

When visiting my wife, I am always greeted with smiles from the staff. My wife is always looked after well. They shower, feed, dress her, etc. The staff are very helpful to me. It's nice to take her into the garden in the summer months.
My wife does not do any activities and does not know me anymore.
I am very pleased with Bromley Park.

My husband has been in the care home fifteen months now. Unfortunately, he cannot participate in any activities as he is not able to. The main staff are excellent but not all of the agency are. They seem to have no initiative. Food is well cooked and varied and since the home has recently been decorated,
it is more homely. I have no complaints.

My wife spent eleven months at Bromley Park Care Centre. Throughout, I was always impressed with the care provided to all residents.
I visited three times a week at random times and I only have positive thoughts about the care shown to every resident.

Mum has been in the care of Bromley Park for many years and I am constantly impressed by the patience and resilience of the staff. The more senior/long-serving members of staff have a genuine affection for her which means a lot to us. Its a tough job and they do their very best. We trust them.

Khadija Kachra

Job Title: Home Manager

Khadija is the Manager of Bromley Park Care Home. Growing up in Care Homes as part of a family care provider, Khadija has worked in the care sector for over a decade and instinctively knows how best to care for her residents, team members, families and visitors. Khadija consistently strives to provide her residents with happiness and laughter. Working alongside her team and colleagues at Nellsar, Khadija feels her personal core values reflect those of the Home and the company as a whole, enabling her to further develop and improve the quality of care for the people she looks after.

Donna Hough

Job Title: Non-Clinical Deputy Manager Joined: 2013

Donna joined the Bromley Park Care Home team in 2013 as a part-time Administrator and over the years she has progressed to Services Manager, then to Facilities Manager, and now works as the Non-Clinical Deputy Manager.


Donna loves working closely with the residents and takes great joy from seeing her colleagues promoted to the next level, while being a part of the positive changes they bring. As a Deputy Manager, Donna is inspired by the unique people she works with and loves working towards one common goal – providing the best possible care and home environment for their residents.


Throughout her time at Bromley Park, Donna has witnessed ongoing support from the Home’s Managers and the Nellsar Operations Team, who have an extremely rich bank of experience and knowledge. Now with the Nellsar Training Academy, and all-round improvements to staff training, Donna is looking forward to seeing the Home’s staff develop into their roles and careers even more in the future.


Citing her greatest achievements as working in a role that she loves and using the experience she has gained in all her different roles, Donna most looks forward to implementing a ‘Wish List’ scheme; Finding more ways to transform the Home and consistently develop the services and home environment for Bromley Park’s residents. Donna would also love to see a ‘Memory Lane’ high street and ‘Mini Village’ in the garden – something that would particularly benefit their residents with Dementia.

Job Title: Recreation & Well-Being Coordinator Joined: 2019

"I have worked a wonderful diverse range of roles throughout my time here. Since joining the Home in September 2019, I have worked as a Carer, a Chef and now I'm the Recreation & Well-Being Coordinator.


My team and Manager are fantastic! Working as part of a Care Home team is a very rewarding experience and has given me a new life perspective. I see the bigger picture of life, and I'm able to give from the heart.


I feel lucky to have received lots of training including End of Life, The Daily Sparkle, St Christopher Namaste, Access to Health & Social Care, Access to Nursing and Human Science. I have more confidence in myself and my role, and I feel supported through the Home.


I am looking forward to completing my Access to Nursing course in 2022, then I plan to progress into Nursing to continue giving the best possible care to our residents."

Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

"Throughout my time here I have completed lots of training; the one that has helped the most with my development is my Health and Social Care Diploma.


I am proud of what I have achieved at Bromley Park; my recent promotion to Senior Care Assistant has enabled me to learn more about our residents' care from a different perspective and support them with medication and care planning.


I have seen a lot of positive changes in the Home, and the Nurses and Carers work really well as a team. The team are supportive of each other and we all work well, in the best way, to care for our residents. The Managers are supportive; it’s always nice to see the Senior Team from Head Office as well – everyone strives for the best care for our residents.


The thing that brings me the most joy about working at Bromley Park is caring for our residents. I really enjoy working with and supporting them when they need us the most. It is a privilege to care for them."

Job Title: Training Assessor

"The best thing about working at Bromley Park is the people; the people we support and the people we work with. What I most enjoy is spending time with the residents, it brings me great joy. I also feel great pride when helping the staff develop, and helping them to support our residents.


Over the years, there have been many positive changes in the Home. Most recently, it's been the training and development that has had the greatest effect for me personally. I have completed lots of training throughout my years at Bromley Park Care Home. My promotion to Training Assessor has enabled me to fully support the care team when completing their care certificate training, and with their moving and positioning skills.


I’m really proud to support our team; I am looking forward to watching them grow and develop even further."

Mark Cook

Job Title: Maintenance Manager Joined: 2016

Mark began working at Bromley Park Care Home in 2016 and has managed all maintenance requirements throughout the Home and gardens ever since. A self-professed ‘Jack of all trades’, he also drives the Homes’ minibus when residents take an outing and lends a hand to anyone in need, including helping the Maintenance staff at other nearby Nellsar Care Homes.


Mark has enjoyed extensive training throughout his time at Bromley Park for his maintenance responsibilities and he is proud to fulfil multiple roles throughout the Home. The varied role is what Mark most enjoys about his job and he is delighted to see that, through his hard work, the Home is looking cleaner and more refreshed.


Having seen the evolution of a better working environment and higher calibre of staff over the years, Mark also enjoys the social aspect of working among the other staff and residents in the Home. Looking to the future, Mark looks forward to maintaining the high standards at Bromley Park and consistently improving the home environment for everyone who lives and works there.
