Overall the majority of staff are polite, caring, and show an interest in those they provide support to. On a negative side, there are occasions when I arrive and waiting at the door I can see care staff sitting in the lounge on their mobile phone at weekends or evenings and don't acknowledge those
at the door
Reply from Torie Sabbarton, Operations Manager at Meyer House Care CentreThank you for your feedback which allows us to work on areas we need to improve. As you know we use an electronic care planning system via mobile phone devices and the team document via these handsets many times throughout the day. We will speak with the team to be more vigilant when the door bell rings and to acknowledge people waiting to come in. I hope this resolves the situation but we will continue to monitor.

I visited the Care Centre, initially to assess whether it would be suitable for a trial stay, for my father. The welcome was so warm and positive that I recommended it to my father. The building and grounds have a pleasant , country cottage atmosphere. The staff are attentive and professional. After
the first 2 weeks we have concluded that it is the right location for my father and are pleased to have made it his permanent new home. This is the beginning of his residence and so far he has not had the possibility of experiencing the full range of the care and facilities.
If there was one thing I would change to improve the ambience it would be to replace the resident call alert with a bleep or pager.
Reply from Diana Serban, Registered Manager at Loose Valley Care CentreThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you and your father felt so welcome and that he is settling well into his new home. Your kind words about the building, grounds, and our staff are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the Loose Valley team. Thank you again for your thoughtful review.

My mother resided at Hengistfield for over three years. During this time, the care she received was outstanding. The excellent and friendly staff always treated her with kindness, respect and dignity. Nothing was too much for them in order to meet her needs.
The gardens and social areas are welcoming.
There are activities and social events for those wishing to mingle. As a family we always felt welcome and any worries or questions we had were dealt with in a timely, professional manner.
We can't thank the Hengistfield staff enough for taking such great care of our precious and much loved mum.

Our staff are dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centred care, and your message is a heartfelt reminder of why we do what we do.
We're delighted that the atmosphere, gardens, and social activities contributed positively to her time with us, and that you always felt comfortable approaching us with any questions or concerns.

My father's care at Lukestone was above and beyond what we could have wished for. The compassion, dignity and interaction that was showered upon him was just lovely to see and as a family it made it much easier to know that when we left for the day/night he was in such good hands and he would be above
all, safe. As a family we were also showered with kindness and offered and supplied endless cups of teas/coffees & food, the list is endless, we were kept informed all through our dads care. The team members, carers, nurses, all who contribute to the care of Lukestone's residents, should be applauded for their compassion towards their residents who are in a vulnerable state, this compassion which is at the forefront helps the family so much, they talk to the residents with dignity and treat them as their own family members, how ever much time we have with our loved ones, Lukestone gave our father respect and that's all we all really wanted, hoped for and received. Thank you all.

My mother stayed at Abbotsleigh after a spell in hospital on a 3 bed pathway and then for respite care. The care they provided at the home was nothing short of excellent. The managers and the nurses were extremely communicative whenever there was a health issue and the care stuff themselves were so
lovely with mum, warm and fun and extremely attentive. The setting is rural and peaceful and they have a gorgeous garden with chickens running around. We couldnt have been happier that this gorgeous home provided for our mum in the time she was here. A gem of a care home!

My husband has now been in St Winifreds for over 1 year. He seems calm and contented but still recognises me in spite of not knowing where is is, especially visiting outside St Winifreds. He is always kept clean and tidy and I commend the cleaning staff and laundry staff for their attention to detail.
Thank you for calming him down and treating him with respect even though staff have no idea of his former self. All your staff are kind and attentive to his needs. So I have few complaints apart from costs which have depleted savings.
