I am very happy and impressed by the facilities and care provided to my mother while at Lukestone care home. The staff are always pleasant, courteous and helpful. The establishment and rooms are always spotlessly clean. The building, staff and atmosphere at Lukestone provides a very relaxing warm and
welcoming environment for visitors.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My father's care at Lukestone was above and beyond what we could have wished for. The compassion, dignity and interaction that was showered upon him was just lovely to see and as a family it made it much easier to know that when we left for the day/night he was in such good hands and he would be above
all, safe. As a family we were also showered with kindness and offered and supplied endless cups of teas/coffees & food, the list is endless, we were kept informed all through our dads care. The team members, carers, nurses, all who contribute to the care of Lukestone's residents, should be applauded for their compassion towards their residents who are in a vulnerable state, this compassion which is at the forefront helps the family so much, they talk to the residents with dignity and treat them as their own family members, how ever much time we have with our loved ones, Lukestone gave our father respect and that's all we all really wanted, hoped for and received. Thank you all.
Reply from Alison Ruddock, Operations & Compliance Manager at Lukestone Care CentreThank you so much for the wonderful feedback given which is truly appreciated.

My mother stayed at Abbotsleigh after a spell in hospital on a 3 bed pathway and then for respite care. The care they provided at the home was nothing short of excellent. The managers and the nurses were extremely communicative whenever there was a health issue and the care stuff themselves were so
lovely with mum, warm and fun and extremely attentive. The setting is rural and peaceful and they have a gorgeous garden with chickens running around. We couldnt have been happier that this gorgeous home provided for our mum in the time she was here. A gem of a care home!

My husband has now been in St Winifreds for over 1 year. He seems calm and contented but still recognises me in spite of not knowing where is is, especially visiting outside St Winifreds. He is always kept clean and tidy and I commend the cleaning staff and laundry staff for their attention to detail.
Thank you for calming him down and treating him with respect even though staff have no idea of his former self. All your staff are kind and attentive to his needs. So I have few complaints apart from costs which have depleted savings.

I've been in the home for 7 months. I have settled, I do have a few members of staff that are really really good to me. I ask for something and they get it for me. Sometimes I wish my food was hot by the time I get it it is lukewarm or even cold. But over all the staff are so very kind, they look after
me so well, I do like company and they will talk to me and cheer me up. Thank you.

My mum has been at The Old Downs for 18 months. The staff know us personally and always ask if we have had a nice visit. They are trying different methods to ensure that my mum is safe in the home as she had a fall in the summer and fractured her hip. However she was well supported post operatively
and now continues to walk round the home almost like she did pre fall. She has regular hair cuts and visits to ensure that her toe nails are kept in shape. I am grateful for the staff and their commitments to the residents in the home

My Mother was admitted to Lukestone on the 2nd December, for end of life care, and passed away on the 13th December.
From her first day, to her last, Mum was treated with care, dignity and compassion. Her room was warm, inviting and always spotlessly clean. Mum was always clean and comfortable.
My
husband and I, and my sister, took turns to ensure we visited every day. On every occasion we noted how welcoming, smiley and friendly the staff were, be it cleaners, carers or nursing staff. We were always offered drinks, and asked if we were ok.
It was a huge relief and comfort to all of us,that Mum's last few days were with such a wonderful caring team, in such a lovely home. I can't praise Lukestone high enough.
Reply from Russell Menoza, Registered Manager at Lukestone Care CentreThanks for this lovely compliment and truly inspiring. We are truly grateful for the warmth and kindness that you and your husband and sister have shared to our team, and together we supported mum the best possible way here in Lukestone where peace, love and comfort was truly felt. Again, it is an honour to have such recognition and on behalf of my team my heartfelt thanks.

The team at Lulworth always look after my mum really well and she is very settled and happy which is very much appreciated by the rest of the family.
They held the Christmas party at the weekend, a lovely event and chance for me, my brother and my Dad to have a fun afternoon with Mum.
Thank you for
all your hard work.

I cannot fault the staff at Lulworth House. They are so kind and considerate, nothing is too much trouble. My uncle can be quite obstinate and difficult sometimes, but he is so happy at Lulworth House - and it is all because of the lovely staff!
Thank you.
Reply from Torie Sabbarton, Operations Manager at Lulworth House Residential Care CentreThank you for such a lovely review, we feel the team at Lulworth are amazing too! The team work hard to engage with every person in a way that is right for them, to have meaningful contacts throughout the day, and I am so pleased that you see this in the care for your Uncle. We will share this with the team who I know will be proud and happy at this acknowledgement.

Loose Valley Care Centre

I came to Loose Valley for rehabilitation after a serious motorcycle accident, with broken bones in my leg, arm and shoulders. I was unable to weight bear for the first 8 weeks and received in-house physio to build my strength.
In the last five weeks, I have learnt to stand, walk with a zimmer and
now with a quad stick. I have also learnt to walk up and down stairs. The in-house physio has been brilliant and has enabled me to go home to complete my rehabilitation.
I have been well looked after by all of the staff who were kind, caring and friendly. Unlike most residents my single objective has been to recover to leave and go home. Loose Valley has enabled me to achieve my objective in less time than had been expected. I have been in a caring home during a very challenging time in my life. I have no doubt that the support and encouragement of everyone in the Home has contributed to my recovery.
Reply from Alina Abagiu, Senior Manager at Loose Valley Care CentreThank you so much for sharing your experience, Peter. We are all truly touched by your kind words.

It's wonderful to hear how the support from everyone at Loose Valley, from our physiotherapy, nursing and care teams to our kitchen, housekeeping, laundry, activities staff etc., has helped you regain your strength and mobility. Every member of the team takes pride in supporting our residents, and your feedback shows how their dedication can make a real difference.

We are delighted that we could help you achieve your goal of returning home sooner than expected. Your determination and positivity have been inspiring, and your journey is exactly why we do what we do every day.
