Clairleigh Nursing Home

Clairleigh Nursing Home provides excellent nursing care and support in a calm and pleasant environment. The staff are efficient whilst still being warm and friendly.

From my first visit in May, I was made to feel very welcome. I went unannounced and the staff I met were all helpful. My friend was being well looked after and had only good things to say about the home and the people looking after him. He likes to go in the garden and as he is in a wheelchair, they always find time to take him out there. He likes the activities and quizzes. I am welcome to visit anytime, any day and there is always tea and coffee on hand. This is a very good care home with excellent management and staff.

The staff are very kind and helpful. They give a very good level of care. Food is of a good standard. Menu varies. Always given a choice. My room is of a very good standard and is kept clean.

The entire team are always extremely welcoming when I visit my brother. I feel they know him as a person, not just a patient. He appears to be clean and well fed and his clothes are clean. The home is currently undergoing extensive building work, however, my brother's room is always clean. My brother says that the staff are all very kind. When I visit they are often having a laugh with him and other residents.

Very organised, overall very agreeable. Activities sufficient and appropriate. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The environment has very high standards of cleanliness and care. Very well managed, relatives and friends always made to feel welcome.

Very caring and very comfortable home.

My mother who was a resident at Clairleigh Nursing Home, died on the 20th of May. She was there for only three and a half months but was extremely frail and ill. During that time, she was cared for with great kindness and at the end, the staff were wonderful. I have rarely witnessed such tenderness and compassion from every level of personnel and they were an immense comfort to me at my time of loss. I cannot speak highly enough of them.

Since my sister has been in Claircleigh Nursing Home (2 years) she has been well cared for as she is completely bedridden. Since she came here there has been considerable building, extension work going on. Despite these difficulties, the staff have all coped well and with cheerfulness.

Management and staff are caring and considerate. Home is undergoing development but having said that the residents come first. Frequent activities e.g singing.

My father has been a resident for one year and during that time I have found the home to be an excellent environment with very caring staff and everyone is always helpful. There have been two occasions when my father had falls and I was contacted by the home so I am happy that the resident's welfare and safety are maintained. Although the building works have been ongoing throughout the past year and the residents have not suffered at all although visitors parking at the home has been difficult at times. The programme of activities has been excellent including some visiting entertainers and on some occasions, visits to theatres have been organised.

The staff often go above and beyond to ensure that the residents are happy, relaxed and treated with the utmost dignity.

This is a very clean, well-managed home with caring staff. My mother enjoys her surroundings and is particularly complimentary about the staff, the food and her room. The home has been undergoing major renovations and this has not affected the quality of the services provided. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

I'm very pleased we have chosen Clairleigh for our mother at this stage of her life. Particularly considerate and effective management support/assistance has been provided to our family, providing reassurance at a testing time for all concerned. Good liaison with local hospital and GPs is evident. Caring and friendly nursing staff are always present to attend to mum's needs, with careful and respectful attention provided.

Clairleigh Nursing Home just works. From the moment you walk in it just feels right. It is like home - not a care home or a nursing home - just home. From the amazing staff to the facilities and atmosphere you can't go wring with Clairleigh. Mum has been there for 18 months and there has been several changes but I have never doubted the ability of the staff to give the very best to all the residents. They genuinely care and it helps me sleep at night knowing that mum is in safe hands.

My mother has been at Clairleigh Nursing Home for just over two years. She has received consistently good care which has resulted in her being very much part of the care home family. There has been a lot of change at Clairleigh, not only staff but major building works. Overall, this change has been handled well. My mother does not have dementia, so is not "the norm" when compared to most of the other residents. However, Claireleigh has respected and maintained my mother's dignity and provided stimulation that is essential.

Clairleigh Nursing Home is a wonderful and unique nursing home. As soon as I went there I knew it was the right place for my mum. The building is beautiful with a very homely atmosphere. However, what makes Clairleigh really special is it's amazing and wonderful set of staff. They are truly dedicated, caring and kind and do everything they can to help. I know that my mum is in the best possible home - where she is loved and I can have the piece of mind and trust that she will always receive excellent care.

Sadly Mum was only at the home for 3 weeks before she passed away. I could not have wished for better care in her final days. She was treated with great care dignity and respect and the staff were genuinely upset at her passing. There was no rush for us to leave and the Manager is a genuinely nice caring person. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
