Clairleigh Nursing Home is a wonderful, caring care home. There is a terrific balance between professionalism and friendliness.
My elderly mum has been cared for so well, with patience, humour and empathy.

Thank you.

My mother, who is in her 90s, frail and has dementia, is very well cared for at Clairleigh. All the staff I encounter are friendly and caring. The visiting limitations during the pandemic have been challenging for my mother and the family, but the management and staff at the home have communicated with me regularly and clearly, making things as easy as possible. I am happy to recommend this nursing home.

As I have been unable to visit my mother or speak to her directly I am unable to give an accurate review. However, the staff who greet me at the front door when I am making deliveries are all very welcoming and helpful. Prior to lockdown, my mother was very happy with her surroundings and the care she has received. There have been food issues when the chef had been changed. She has been kept save and Covid free!

When my friend was being discharged from hospital, it was obvious that she could not go home immediately to look after herself. She was fortunate that there was a vacancy at Clairleigh. The assessment of her needs was carried out very sensitively. It wasn't long before it was obvious that this would have to be a permanent placement. It was not easy for her to give up her independence and despite being difficult at times the staff treated her with kindness and courtesy.

I am particularly referring to the family day on Saturday the 27 July. My wife and I attended, as well as my sister and her husband. Fortunately, the weather was good and the party spilled out into the garden. It was a great opportunity to meet other residents and their families and it was very well organised with a good singer singing popular 50s and 60s songs. The bar was well run and the food was amazing, attractively presented savouries, cakes and fruit, and plenty of it. Well done Clairleigh, it was an excellent occasion.

I am my husband's carer he has dementia and walking problems. I needed a rest after 7 years of looking after him. We are self-financed so I chose Clairleigh. They were attentive, kine and he was always clean. There were lots of things going on to entertain patients.

Mum was resident at Clairleigh for just under 5 years until her death recently. The staff were caring, compassionate and attentive to her needs. Staff were friendly and treated Mum with dignity and respect. I felt happy in the knowledge that Mum was safe and looked after well by the team. The home was bright and clean. Since the refurbishments, there was plenty of space in the lounge area for the residents and their visitors to sit together as well as being able to find a quieter space to be with Mum when we visited.

So pleased that my mother was able to spend her last months in such a caring environment, particularly during her last few weeks when she became confused and vulnerable.

Credit should also be given to the staff for creating a friendly and life affirming culture making it a pleasure to visit on a regular basis.

My 92-year-old father required palliative care. We looked at several homes and picked Clairleigh Nursing Home on the basis of the welcome we received. The care and attention given to as we viewed and that we weren't put under any pressure. There was not a day that we regretted that decision. Not only did they take extremely good care of my father but also showed care and compassion for his wife who visited every day. They also kept us well informed of everything concerning his care and treatment. An excellent facility.

The care staff were very good, treating my wife with dignity and real affection. I felt the nursing care was considerate and gave me confidence in their work. The environment was welcoming from the start and continued in that vein.

It was a real home from home as far as it could be under the circumstances. I felt she was safe and happy.

This home was exactly what we were looking for. Mum had a wonderful but short time here. Everyone we came across was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. There was always something going on for the residents from entertainment, pet visits and trips out. It was home from home.

My mother lived at Clairleigh Nursing Home for over 3 years until her death. She was very immobile and the carers and nurses were always cheerful, friendly and diligent in their care. The home is bright and clean and never smelt of anything unpleasant. The staff helped us organise an 80th birthday for mum and were really helpful.

They gave proactive advice in a friendly way. The room was clean, light and airy.

The staff (all of them) and management went out of their way to make mums stay as pleasant as possible. They took the trouble to get to know mum- she wasn't just an elderly sick person.
