My review of Clarendon Nursing Home is fairly simple. The home in general treats us as humans which is more than other places have. A safe space is created where we are encouraged to be ourselves. Residents and staff become a family. The care provided comes from the team who cares. A building is empty without the character of people within. Clarendon is a place I'm proud to call home.

I had my best friend here for 2 years.

Care was excellent, staff were nice and friendly and work well with the management team. Even though my friend passed away, I am still visiting and invited for meals at Clarendon.

Clarendon Nursing Home looked after my mother with compassion and dignity throughout her four-year stay as a resident. Nothing was ever too difficult, from manager to carer staff were ever so attentive and caring. They kept me informed of everything to do with my mum. When my mother reached her end of life they kept me informed and ensured I got to her in time to say my goodbyes. They didn’t just support her but they supported me too during this difficult time and communicated with me with thoughtfulness and compassion even after her death. My family and I are grateful.

Mum has been here for two years this Christmas.

She still smiles at the staff. This is a good indicator of the way they look after her. The care here is great and I'm very thankful for the time they take to keep my mum happy.

Mum has always been treated with due care and respect and her dignity has always been considered. Staff are always polite and accommodating to our requests and feedback. During lockdown when Mum first became a resident, management and staff took the time to create opportunities for the family to make contact via telephone/video calls and this was truly helpful when alleviating many concerns as Mum has dementia. Thank you Clarendon for all you have done!

The staff are kind, friendly, caring, helpful and always available when needed. I'm often after arriving updated on Mum's condition within minutes without even having to ask.

The management and staff all know my mum by name and I'm comfortable leaving Mum in their care. Clarendon Nursing Home is a big upgrade from her previous care home, one hundred per cent.

Mum's carer has a very good calming effect on her and other residents.

Overall, the staff are friendly and attentive. I would say that care home is in much need of maintenance and repair. They do great parties for families and residents.

My dad started living at Clarendon in February 2022. We had looked at two care homes. The other home wanted to quarantine him in his room for two weeks due to COVID. He would not be able to cope with that. I asked Clarendon what their approach would be and they said they would not lock him in his room because he wouldn't understand what was happening. It was this caring approach that made us choose Clarendon. Two years on, we are very happy with our choice. All the staff are so caring and are very approachable, treating all the residents with respect and love. I can't praise them enough.
