I have visited many residents in this home over many years and they have maintained a very high standard of care. Whilst staff come and go they are generally very welcoming, caring and treat the residents with dignity and respect their privacy. I have recommended this home to others who need nursing care.

Crossways has looked after my mum since June 2016. They have always treated her with the utmost respect and care for her really well and we are so pleased that we found Crossways.

The home is well decorated and my mums room is light, airy and comfortable. She enjoys the varied food just wishes there was more of it.

My husband has been treated with courtesy and care since his admission in February 2016. I would like to thank all the management, nursing staff, carers, kitchen staff etc. for their unfailing patience and good humour at all times.

My mother has been cared for at Crossways Nursing Home for six weeks respite after fracturing her hip and then later for eleven months full-time nursing care due to dementia. During these times she has been looked after very well, especially at the end of her life when she was made comfortable, dying peacefully. The staff at Crossways have always been supportive of me as my mother's next of kin.

My father went into Crossways Nursing Home for end of life continuous care with terminal cancer. The family spent every day with him for many hours each day. The care was so very good, the staff were so kind, respectful and treated my father with gentleness especially, lifting him in the hoist and repositioning him in the bed and wheelchair. They managed his pain and made him comfortable at all times. While he had an appetite he loved the food which was delicious well cooked and suitable for my father who sometimes had difficulty chewing. Everyone from the cleaning lady, the office staff, kitchen staff, care staff and medical staff, all treated my father and us the family with kindness, dignity and respect.

Overall Experience

In the two and a half years of being connected to Crossways Nursing Home I experienced the high standard of care afforded to the residents, and in particular my mother. The support of the management and all the staff was second to none. The friendliness and support given on a regular basis was invaluable.

The management were as approachable as any other member of the staff, which is so important to relatives of the residents, and to enable them to leave the premises feeling assured that there loved ones were genuinely cared for with humanity.

Any concerns one may have, in any manner, were addressed immediately and dealt with, if necessary.

As far as I am concerned, the Crossways Nursing Home are an extremely good example of how all care homes should aspire to be.

Excellent!

Overall Experience

I spent 15 days as a rehabilitation resident following discharge from hospital after a car accident. During my stay I had three different rooms. The first was cold and a bit noisy being next to a staff equipment/supply room, the second better but washing facility was a very small washbasin and no mat for spilled water, so slipping on the wood effect flooring. The third room with excellent en suite and good decor and comfortable chairs. All staff were pleasant, kind and attentive. The food variable, sometimes delicious and piping hot, other times adequate but always vegetables including cabbage, depending on chef on duty.
