I am a retired Macmillan nurse. When working I visited many homes. Now I visit the sick of my parish. I have been visiting one man over the period of a year. The home has never smelt of urine or other poor smells. The care given to the patient was exemplary. He was never dirty or uncared for. H, now dying, looks serene, clean and comfortable. Thank you for your good care.

Overall Experience

The staff are endlessly pleasant, patient and polite, sometimes under difficult circumstances. I am kept up to date with all details concerning my mother's health and well being. The staff make a point of talking to all the residents and including them in all the activities. This gives a very homely feel, which I think is appreciated by the residents. The residents are treated well and with dignity. There are plenty of activities and outings. The buildings are well kept and there seems to be a rolling programme of decorating and refurbishment, which I hope will get as far as the lounge area soon. The gardens are lovely. The security seems to be good. I have had no complaints about the food, although I have never been there at meal times. This is one of the dearer care homes we looked at but it covers all the areas that are important to us very well and provides value for money.

Overall Experience

My mum has been at Fairlight & Fallowfield for two and a half years. The staff immediately made her feel welcome and although it took a while for her to settle the staff were patient and understanding. She is no longer able to care for herself and is immobile but always cared for with great respect. Most Occasions I visit three four times week members of staff are often interacting by looking at books, playing games or another activity with the residents. Whenever I leave I feel my mum is staying in a homely and loving place that I have full trust and confidence in.

Overall Experience

My cousin has followed my Mother, Father and Uncle into the home and I have always been very pleased with the care they have received. They are treated with dignity as real people and their wishes and opinions respected. The staff have a very friendly rapport with the residents and visitors and any problems are quickly resolved.

Very good but not as good as previous year due to the shortage of carers and too much demand on few employed.
