Heatherbrook

My mother in law has been at Heatherbrook for 4 and a half years. Many of the staff have worked there all that time. The atmosphere is happy and very caring. She is very well looked after. There is a very family feeling about the home.

My brother moved into Heatherbrook at the beginning of March, following further deterioration of his health. He has settled well and is happy, safe and well cared for. He can have company when he wants, with various activities available. The food is always good, with plenty of choices. The staff are all kind, friendly and professional and work hard to make Heatherbrook a home for all their residents. I am delighted that we managed to find my brother a home here and strongly recommend Heatherbrook.

My sister came to this home over 1 year ago. It's such a lovely home. Staff are amazing, so caring, patient, and so kind. Nothing is too much trouble for them to deal with if you have a problem or need help with anything. The manager and office staff are always around to ask them anything during the day time or evening. My sister is very happy here.

Patricia was moved here after her previous home could not cope with her. Sadly, her dementia not only caused memory loss and confusion, but she has also become violent and aggressive to everyone. At Heatherbook, she is well cared for and kept safe. She is always respected and treated with such care and kindness. The home is always clean, and the food looks delicious. When I'm present at meal times, I am so impressed by the patience and kindness of everyone I have met there, starting with the lovely receptionist, to each and every nurse/carer.

Outstanding service provided, couldn't be anymore happier with regards to the way my parents have been treated. I would also like to give a big mention to the receptionist who's bubbly and always been a great help. She also makes the process of things a lot easier.

My mum absolutely loves it in heatherbrook. Everyone is so friendly and nothing is ever to much. Seeing mum being well looked after helps me so much. She loves being able to look out the window at the amazing garden and her room is so cute

My sister arrived at the home from the hospital. She had vascular dementia, was very difficult didnt eat, drink, take meds and fought off all staff. She was sent to home that was told by whips & hospital she was mobile and had no problem with food and drink, which was the opposite. The staff tried their utmost to get food & drink down her with no joy. She was very difficult, but the staff were amazing, very patient, and kind & caring. My sister was sent to hospital and after spending 3 days/nights on a trolley was sent back to home with DVTS in her leg. The staff treated her with injections of bloodthinning meds, but unfortunately, she passed away. All the staff that dealt with my sister was also very supportive and kind to me and family.

My brother became a resident early march 2025. Upon his trasnfer from another care home, we were both made to feel "at home". He has been at Heatherbrook now for 8 weeks. My brother is not very sociable but he is happy there. Im very happy with this nursing home, and most definitely no complaints. I find all members of staff lovely and really helpful.

My partner is on 1 - 1 at Heatherbrook and she gets amazing care daily. The staff are very friendly. The senior care assistant is brilliant at her job, she is so passionate and caring. The manager is very accommodating, always offering me coffee and conversation. Heatherbrook is a friendly and vibrant place and always has parties, singers and family events. I am happy my partner is at this nursing home.

Reception and carer staff are very kind and accommodating. My nan is kept happy with regular events and good food. Staff are always happy to help too.

The activities are great and keep the residents engaged.

Having visited Heatherbrook throughout this period I was able to observe the same quality of care being afforded other patients with the staff continually trying their best to make every day as rich as possible and the best it could be. The staff took time to get to know Mum and her specific needs, and we were offered support and practical advice throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending Heatherbrook, its manager, admin team, nurses, and carers as they delivered the best quality of care to my mum.

The staff at Heatherbrook Nursing Home were hard-working, caring and compassionate. It was very clean and the three meals were lovely just like home cooking. They all nursed me back to health in such a short time. The only thing I would say is the staff don't get paid enough for the hard work and long hours they put in.

Her daughter certainly did well in finding this next chapter in her mum's life.

A clean and happy home and the food is healthy and consistently excellent. Our mum has improved in her health and well-being with the care she has received at Heatherbrook. We feel so welcome and the staff are caring and attentive towards Mum and other residents and their families. We are so glad to have found this home away from home once we had to make the difficult decision to find a safe home. Thank you for all you do.

My husband has been at Heatherbrook for a year and his care during this time has been excellent. the staff are friendly and approachable and any matters are dealt with promptly. The premises are kept very clean and the meals although basic are very good (special diets catered for). The residents are encouraged to take part in the numerous activities that are on offer. Overall very satisfied.
