Cannot fault this care home, my sister was in another one before and was so unhappy. She has been in Heatherbrook for the last 4 months and upon our visit to see her, all we can say is that her face was bright and lit up. All the staff are wonderful and constantly make sure the residents do not want
for anything.
5 stars for what the staff do here.

Fantastic staff. Always around to talk to and get information from and always willing to help. I found great comfort knowing that my dad was well looked after and it took a lot of weight from my shoulders. Thanks to all the hard-working staff from the care workers to the admin staff.

Great overall experience. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The home has a lovely atmosphere and is always very clean. They work closely with the local primary school where I was a teacher and foster great community relationships.

My gran has been here for just over two months now and I must say she has settled in so well. The staff and other residents have made her feel so welcome. All members of staff at Heatherbrook are very kind and I believe they made the transition for gran moving into here a lot easier than expected. Thank
you to all members of staff.

My father has been at Heatherbrook for roughly one month. In that time he has made good friends and relationships with the care team. His overall health and well-being has also greatly improved which is a direct result of the care and attention he is receiving. Many thanks to the whole team.

Although Mum was only at the home for a few weeks, she was very well cared for. All the nurses were very caring and professional. During Mums stay, the home was in lockdown, so we could not visit. We were regularly called and given an update on how she was doing. The home also arranged a video call.
Management was extremely supportive and helpful throughout Mums time at the home.

My mother has resided at Heatherbrook for several years and is very happy there. Many of the staff have been there for a long time and they really do care about her. The recent precautions under lockdown have safeguarded her and the other residents and we have been able to phone Mum every day. On the
whole, we are very happy with the home.

Our relative was looked after extremely well whilst she stayed at this home. We made friends here rather than being treated as just visitors. Staff went above and beyond to provide afternoon tea for our relative and 12-guests, for her birthday giving us all some happy memories. When our relative became
ill and was close to passing, she was treated with the utmost care and dignity, and staff supported us phenomenally during this difficult time.
Often recommend this home.

I went to Heatherbrook with my good friend who's mum was living there. I was really impressed by the warm welcome by the receptionist. The carers and nurses were very helpful. All alone, I was touched by their caring attention and believe I should inform anybody who is thinking to have their loved ones
moved to a care home; the Heatherbrook should be on their list.

My mum became a resident at Heatherbrook at the age of 95, she had previously resided in another home but they could no longer meet her needs. The staff at Heatherbrook were so calm, friendly and professional and they made what could have been such a difficult time so much easier for both my mum and
myself. The care she received at Heatherbrook was exceptional.
All the Heatherbrook staff, from every department, are caring and professional. They treat their residents with respect, compassion and kindness and go out of their way to ensure they are happy. Heatherbrook has a lovely homely feel, the staff are like a family and they treat their residents and their resident's relatives as part of that family.
I visited my mum often and always felt welcome and included in my mother's care. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed quickly with care and consideration and always to my satisfaction.
I would highly recommend Heatherbrook to anyone.

My dear mum is living with dementia and for the last couple of years Heatherbrook has been her home. She is very calm, contented and happy and this is due to the wonderful care and love she receives.

extended family to her and us and we are forever thankful for all that they do.

My dad has been at Heatherbrook for around 18 months and we were impressed from the start by the care and kindness of the staff. The home has improved even more since the change of ownership and we are very encouraged by the owner’s commitment to make further enhancements. The staff take time to get
to know the families and the care feels personal. The home is a welcoming place for families visiting and residents are very well looked after. All meals are cooked freshly on the premises each day by the chefs, there is plenty of it and it is of an excellent standard.

I feel that this home is very good in my opinion. Staff are absolutely fantastic with the residents. Food and drinks are on point, they really do get lovely food throughout the day. All communal areas are kept lovely and clean and nicely painted. They also have a lovely garden where residents can sit
out and enjoy. I would highly recommend this home to people.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.701)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.701) out of 10 for Heatherbrook is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.901 for Heatherbrook is calculated as follows: ( (129 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 142 Ratings = 4.901
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Heatherbrook is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 registered maximum number of service users is 9.2, which has been reached with 12 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
