Woodside

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum has only been at Woodside for a couple of months after her last care home couldn't cope with her needs. I've been very impressed, as has her social worker, with the care she gets. Mum has very demanding needs & the staff have been amazing with her, I couldn't ask for more from them. The manager
& staff are all lovely & very welcoming. They keep me updated with any issues or just when she's 'resident of the day' when they call to chat about her. The home itself is not a purpose built home but it has a homely charm all of its own. I've only seen a few of the activities but they've been good & the singer is brilliant!
I take my hat off to the staff who are always so lovely, especially to mum even when she's having a bad day & have got to know her & her needs & for this, I thank them!

Knowing that my husband is in such a safe, clean and supportive environment means the world to our family. The home itself is always spotless and very well maintained. The food is also excellent quality, with a good choice and clearly prepared with care. The best thing about the care home are the staff
they genuinely care and can't do enough for my husband and myself when visiting they treat everyone with such respect. We're are so grateful for the wonderful team there and would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one.

Very pleasant buildings. Room is pleasant. Staff are excellent whereall make a huge effort to make sure resident (my father) is spoken to like a human being and treated with the utmost respect. Staff got to realise his likes and dislikes very quickly and now he loves staying in this care home.
The
entertainment team are very proactive and ensure residents take part. Especially Inga.

My mother has been living at this care home following a stroke that left her unable to walk, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care she has received.

From the moment she arrived, the staff treated her with genuine kindness, patience, and dignity. Adjusting to life after such a life-changing

event is incredibly difficult, but the team here made the transition as smooth and reassuring as possible for both my mother and our family. They are consistently attentive, compassionate, and professional, and it is clear that they truly care about the wellbeing of the residents.

The support my mother receives with her mobility and daily needs is handled with great sensitivity and respect. The staff always take the time to ensure she is comfortable, safe, and included in daily life at the home. It is reassuring to know she is surrounded by people who are not only skilled at what they do, but who also treat her as an individual rather than just a resident.

I have had some previous experiences of care homes and had some anxiety when the family started discussing that my mother in law was in need of additional care and that care homes would be looked at.

But I can not express how staff have supported this move and taken so much stress and worry over

the family. My mother in law has not left her own home for several years and the only socialisation was with members of the family.

The staff at the home see to all her needs and have accommodated to her needs to allow a settling in period and have had her out of her room taking part in activities.

It has allowed the family to step back and look after themselves. Whilst also getting to bring back their relationships to just son and daughters.

We can not thank all the staff enough knowing she is getting all the care she needs as well as getting back some semblance of social life

Patricia was moved here after her previous home could not cope with her. Sadly, her dementia not only caused memory loss and confusion, but she has also become violent and aggressive to everyone. At Heatherbook, she is well cared for and kept safe. She is always respected and treated with such care
and kindness. The home is always clean, and the food looks delicious. When I'm present at meal times, I am so impressed by the patience and kindness of everyone I have met there, starting with the lovely receptionist, to each and every nurse/carer.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding care provided to my uncle at Pranam Care Home. From the moment we interacted with the team, it was clear that the staff is deeply committed to providing compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care.

The carers are incredibly

attentive, patient, and professional. They treat residents with dignity and kindness, ensuring that their individual needs are always met. It is reassuring to see how much effort the team puts into creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for everyone in their care.

Communication with families is also excellent. The staff keep relatives informed and are always approachable, which brings great peace of mind knowing that loved ones are in such capable hands.

The home itself is clean, welcoming, and well managed, and it is evident that the well-being and happiness of residents is a top priority.

My mum has been a resident at Scorton in Elizabeth House for a few months now, and whilst this is never an easy transition, the care and support she has received from the staff there has been outstanding.
The management team work really well with us as families to understand her needs and the nursing
and care staff have been really good. Her specific dietary requirements have been changed and worked with over this period to give her both the nutrition she needs and also the types of food she prefers.
As a family we are really grateful to the team at Scorton for the care provided.
