Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My sister arrived at the home from the hospital. She had vascular dementia, was very difficult didnt eat, drink, take meds and fought off all staff. She was sent to home that was told by whips & hospital she was mobile and had no problem with food and drink, which was the opposite. The staff tried their
utmost to get food & drink down her with no joy. She was very difficult, but the staff were amazing, very patient, and kind & caring. My sister was sent to hospital and after spending 3 days/nights on a trolley was sent back to home with DVTS in her leg. The staff treated her with injections of bloodthinning meds, but unfortunately, she passed away. All the staff that dealt with my sister was also very supportive and kind to me and family.

Our mum came to Barton Lodge in March, and from the first day the staff have made her feel welcome, safe and comfortable, which gives us great peace of mind. She is always clean and tidy as are all other residents. The home is always clean and welcoming. There are lots of different activities, including
keep fit and different entertainment as well as residents and family parties. We would like to thank all the staff for the fantastic work they do, which has been a lifeline for us as a family during difficult circumstances.

It would be better if Mam had a bit more interaction and stimulation, she is often sat in front of a TV she can't really see or hear. On occasion we have had mixed messages to different members of the family.

Lovely warm entrance and environment. Reception staff always helpful. The care is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble, from finding a blanket that my mum likes to providing medical care. My mum is very happy, she enjoys the company and feels very safe. Carers are always visible and interact
with residents. There is a high standard of care at Barton Lodge. I feel very lucky that my mum is a member of their community.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother has been at resident in Woodside for nearly two years now. Although the property is not a bespoke care home it has charm but more than this, the care team are incredible. They treat residents with a high level of care and support relating to individual needs. There is a real personal
element that helps the resident and family cope with the trauma of dementia and the needs which can no longer be provided in the home situation. Woodside recently held a lovely 70th wedding anniversary for my parents which included a beautifully laid table and menu with a delicious meal. We were able to invite some special friends and relatives enabling my mum and dad to enjoy the day with a fantastic cake. We are able to visit mum whenever which is a huge benefit to my dad, who struggles with the separation that my mums needs has meant. We are always met with a smile and all the team are so welcoming and engaging.
I could say so much more. Thank you Woodside.

The staff and carers are so friendly, helpful and caring. Whenever I visit, there is always someone popping in to see my mum to check on her and attend to her needs. I am always made to feel welcome. The home is always clean and tidy and well maintained. My mum particularly enjoyed the summer barbecue
this year which I also attended and she is pleased with the garden outside her window following
Various gardening days arranged by the home, her garden and those surrounding it look lovely and colourful. I would not even consider using a different care home as this one is so good.

Mum has been in Pranam for the past 4-and-a-half years. Mum had dementia and could no longer walk or talk. Every time I visited her she was always clean and well kept. Her room was spotless. All the carers were always smiling and easy to talk to. They always spoke to Mum when they came into her room.
The food always looked nice. I have never had any problems with Mum's care. Sadly Mum passed away, manager and staff could not have been more supportive at this sad time.

My mum has been in the care of DMP healthcare and Bluebell Nursing & Residential Home. Mum is given the utmost quality of care by the team from the manager to the care worker, the cook and facilities team and lead carers. Everyone is so kind, caring and compassionate.
Always giving attention to detail
in all their care and communication. Always trying to meet the needs and concerns of my mum.
Mum has been very unwell this week, the team were responsive and quick to act; preferring to keep Mum in the home in preference for hospital care. Believing the care is of a much higher standard than hospital care.
