Our mum came to Barton Lodge in March, and from the first day the staff have made her feel welcome, safe and comfortable, which gives us great peace of mind. She is always clean and tidy as are all other residents. The home is always clean and welcoming. There are lots of different activities, including
keep fit and different entertainment as well as residents and family parties. We would like to thank all the staff for the fantastic work they do, which has been a lifeline for us as a family during difficult circumstances.

Lovely warm entrance and environment. Reception staff always helpful. The care is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble, from finding a blanket that my mum likes to providing medical care. My mum is very happy, she enjoys the company and feels very safe. Carers are always visible and interact
with residents. There is a high standard of care at Barton Lodge. I feel very lucky that my mum is a member of their community.

My mother has been at resident in Woodside for nearly two years now. Although the property is not a bespoke care home it has charm but more than this, the care team are incredible. They treat residents with a high level of care and support relating to individual needs. There is a real personal
element that helps the resident and family cope with the trauma of dementia and the needs which can no longer be provided in the home situation. Woodside recently held a lovely 70th wedding anniversary for my parents which included a beautifully laid table and menu with a delicious meal. We were able to invite some special friends and relatives enabling my mum and dad to enjoy the day with a fantastic cake. We are able to visit mum whenever which is a huge benefit to my dad, who struggles with the separation that my mums needs has meant. We are always met with a smile and all the team are so welcoming and engaging.
I could say so much more. Thank you Woodside.

From the moment my dad arrived at Barton Lodge, we felt very reassured that he was in a lovely place and in good hands. Throughout his stay, we repeatedly saw the kind, expert, compassionate, patient, thorough and attentive care my dad was given by the whole team. Knowing that my dad was there - in
such a lovely, safe environment and being so well cared for - gave us complete peace of mind. My dad was calm and 'at home' at Barton Lodge and we are so grateful to all the staff for everything they did for him. Thank you.

The staff and carers are so friendly, helpful and caring. Whenever I visit, there is always someone popping in to see my mum to check on her and attend to her needs. I am always made to feel welcome. The home is always clean and tidy and well maintained. My mum particularly enjoyed the summer barbecue
this year which I also attended and she is pleased with the garden outside her window following
Various gardening days arranged by the home, her garden and those surrounding it look lovely and colourful. I would not even consider using a different care home as this one is so good.

My nan was here for respite care for two weeks whilst our family went on holiday. My nan was well looked after and she really happy with her stay. The staff were all really friendly, warm and welcoming and made sure that my nan felt like she was at home. I couldn't have asked for a better place to look
after my nan and I highly recommend this care home.

The team always ensure mum is well cared for, looking after all her needs. They ensure her appearance and hygiene is as she would of liked to ensure she is comfortable, fed and kept safe. On her birthday they put balloons in her room and the staff came in singing happy birthday with cake and candles.
We are very happy for mum to be at Woodside.

My father was admitted to the care home straight from hospital for palliative care. Although he was only there for three weeks he was happy to be there. All the staff were so friendly and made him feel welcome and they were the same with myself too. They were all so caring and attentive in all his personal
care. Nothing was too much trouble for them at all. When my father passed away and I went to see him all the staff were so thoughtful and spoke highly of him and treated him with so much dignity. I'm so grateful for such a caring residential home with excellent staff and carers for being there for making my father so comfortable in his final days.

My grandad went into this care home very ill and on end of life care. The staff, the team and everyone there was very friendly. They took care of him and were exceptional in ensuring that we were kept up to date.
It's a lovely welcoming atmosphere and a clean building. Each room seems catered for
the individual aswell.
The service was amazing and it kept me at ease knowing my grandad was so well looked after at the end of his life. He always seemed happy when I or family visited most days.

Choosing where to place a loved one is never easy, but the staff at Woodside made it an easy decision. Unfortunately, Dad was not at the care home long, but we know he would have been happy there.

Dad was in for 2 weeks respite.
He was well looked after & respected by carers.
He had help with showers, was encouraged to leave his room to meet other residents, dad is a bit shy, was made to feel welcome.
He made friends whilst in there.
He said the food was lovely, he didn't want for anything.
He
enjoyed his time there.
Room could do with updating, decorating wise.
Be nice if shower was in his room.

The care my father has received over the last 2 years has always been kind and compassionate.
We were kept notified of any changes in health and medications regularly.
There was always staff on hand ready to help and he was kept clean and well fed.
I could not have asked for better care at the end
of his life where they ensured he was kept comfortable and pain free updating family on a regular basis.

My grandad came from hospital for palliative care to Barton Lodge and I couldn't be happier. The staff are attentive to my grandads needs and always ensure he is comfortable and happy. The activity team go into his room every day for a one to one chat due to his mobility issues and he loves this. The
management are always there in case there is any troubles- in which i have had no concerns! The management team helped me get my grandad placed in the home and always keep me updated to his condition. I cannot fault the care home or any of the staff. My grandad is happy there and he is supported my people who care!
The food and drink they meet to my grandads needs and they always offer choices throughout the day! If there is something he asks for that is not on the menu they ensure they provide this for him so he is eating something.
The room has a lovely view of there big garden and has its own ensuite too. The rooms are a lovely size.
