My mother spent the last 10 months of her life in Barton Lodge Care Home, requiring care and end of life nursing care. Barton Lodge, Laura as manager, & the whole team were brilliant. Such a lovely caring environment. I don't want to name anyone as stand out, because they were all so special, an amazing group of individuals who together made the perfect team. I am so grateful to the whole team for taking such good care of Mum, and for making our visits so welcoming I honestly can't thank them all enough. I don't know how we would have managed without them. Top rating! Thank you.

My mum has been to Collinson House twice now for respite care to enable me to have a break. On both occasions the staff were friendly, helpful and caring. A shout out to Hannah who was very reassuring and caring trying to put both mine and my mums mind at ease so I could have a nice break away. A shout out to Mandy aswell who was very encouraging and the rest of the staff who work very hard. When I picked my mum up she was looking happier and healthier. Thank you for looking after my mum Collinson House and for caring for her, it is so very appreciated.

Staff and manager were so helpful and couldn't have asked for better and kind staff every were clean and tidy they have so much patience I dont no how they do the job sometimes william or john as he was called loved all the staff medically yo couldn't have asked for better nurses like all homes they are extremely busy but always had time to listen to his stories x

My wife has been at Barton Lodge since September 2025. She is settled and content there. It has been hard for me to see her in a carehome but I know it is the best place for her, she is so well cared for, it is lovely to see her relationships grow with the other service users and staff, it gives me piece of mind knowing she is so well cared for. I even join in with some of the activities when I am there with her (not the nail painting one though !) All our family members are always welcomed, even when its 4 generations, and the great grandkids are running around, the other ladies really enjoy seeing them also. The staff also look after me when I am visiting, if I am unable to walk down to her they will bring her to me in the reception area or garden, offering us tea/coffee and cakes.

The staff are friendly, caring, and always willing to go the extra mile-nothing is ever too much trouble. They make both residents and families feel valued and welcome. The residents always seem happy and engaged, with a great range of activities to enjoy. The lovely, well-maintained garden and tasteful décor create a comfortable environment. The home feels safe and secure without ever feeling restrictive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone looking for compassionate, high-quality care in a place that truly feels like home.

I would recommend Barton Lodge as a care home. Well looked after. Staff helpful. Kept clean.

My aunt is here over a year and is very well looked after. I have no problem with her care and the staff are all very caring

I have peace of mind knowing my mother is being well cared for and her needs are being met by caring, happy, helpful carers who do their utmost to make her as comfortable and safe as can be. She has a lovely, spacious clean room, with a nice outlook.

My wife has dementia and has been a resident at Barton Lodge for the last 17 months. On the day that we arrived at Barton Lodge, we were met by the manager, and made very welcome as she showed us up to what would become my wifes room. We were told that we could bring pictures and ornaments from home to help my wife settle in. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious with room for her wheelchair as she had a broken ankle at the time. All of the staff that we have met at Barton Lodge are very considerate and sympathetic to all of the residents and we know that my wife is getting the best care possible from a caring and professional staff.

With the sensitive and wise management of the manager and deputy, this is truly a caring care home. Their concern is that everyone shall be comfortable and happy, and they move around chatting and spending time, giving genuine intent. They believe that each person is precious and the staff are carefully trained to treat all people with respect and gentleness. Woodside gives a positive reason for living.

Mum has been a resident of Barton Lodge for approximately 14 months and I feel she is well cared for. The Home itself is modern, clean and has a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Staff are always very professional. If there are concerns staff and the manager always listen and respond quickly to resolve matters. It is a great relief to me to know that mum is being so well looked after.

I was impressed and am still impressed with the way my aunt is treated and cared for in Barton lodge, ensuring dignity and kindness. At times I know my aunt can be challenging but the staff understand her behaviours and treat her accordingly. I genuinely feel that the carers really care for all their residents. The overall atmosphere of the home is very welcoming and friendly. Thank you for all you do.

My mum was here twice the first time for a month then again for end of life care. The home itself could do with a bit of decorating but you cannot fault the staff. They are so caring and compassionate to the patients and visitors. I highly recommend this home

Barton Lodge genuinely cares for their residents and their families. They listen to all needs/requests and act on them promptly.

My husband has had such a good experience wile living in this home he loves all the staff and they love him he has been in 3 other care homes and they could never care for him as well as this home we have have no faults at the home it is so clean and well kept and he really enjoys the food and the staff offer family and friends a cuppa the minute you arrive i have even been offered a meal wile visiting my husband the only thing I feel that could slightly improve is more activity but other wise its a 10 out of 10 from me and my family.
