Woodside is nestled in a quiet village of Slipend located in close proximity of Central Bedfordshire, Luton and Hertfordshire.

The home has great accessibility and close to the M1 Motorway making it 30 miles from both London and Buckinghamshire.

The home provides a high standard of accommodation for up to 37 residents. The property which is divided into 3 floors was once a former vicarage to St Andrew's parish next door.

A new wing was added in 2021 providing an additional 10 large bedroom with en-suite wet room facilities.

The team always ensure mum is well cared for, looking after all her needs. They ensure her appearance and hygiene is as she would of liked to ensure she is comfortable, fed and kept safe. On her birthday they put balloons in her room and the staff came in singing happy birthday with cake and candles.
We are very happy for mum to be at Woodside.

Choosing where to place a loved one is never easy, but the staff at Woodside made it an easy decision. Unfortunately, Dad was not at the care home long, but we know he would have been happy there.

Woodside have looked after my mother since 2021 until she passed away recently. The dedication of the staff and level of care they provided her was exemplary,and they were always willing to go the extra mile. Even when it came to end of life management,the staff were so caring and compassionate and

The care my father has received over the last 2 years has always been kind and compassionate.
We were kept notified of any changes in health and medications regularly.
There was always staff on hand ready to help and he was kept clean and well fed.
I could not have asked for better care at the end
of his life where they ensured he was kept comfortable and pain free updating family on a regular basis.

This care home offers an outstanding environment for the residents. They have excellent services and the staff are very helpful and attentive. The food served is exceptional and the home has a lovely garden for the residents to enjoy the outdoor space. The staff constantly go out of their way to assist

Outstanding care provided by all staff. The carers are friendly and supportive to patients and families. The premises are spotlessly clean. The food is excellent.

My wife died in April 2024 after almost 4 years nursing care at Woodside. She suffered from complex medical needs including vascular dementia and Type 1 diabetes. Her care was first class and the staff went above and beyond our expectations in looking after her, especially during Covid, sometimes working
extended shifts in an emergency. We were in awe at how shocked and upset the staff were when my wife finally passed away. We will always be extremely grateful for all their efforts to make her last few years as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

We found that he is well looked after, spotlessly clean, well-fed. The staff are amazing. His room is well-decorated and always clean. The home is always spotlessly clean every time we visit. The gardens always look good.

My mother entered the nursing home a couple of months ago after a period of respite care at another facility. We cannot thank the staff at Woodside enough for their care and dedication. Each time we visit Mum, who has dementia and Parkinson's; she greets us with a wave and a smile, and it is the same
when we leave. As visitors, we are made to feel very welcome, and our presence is valued. Our impressions have been very positive, and we are very grateful to the staff.

My husband received respite care from the home for a week. He was very unsettled initially with the change, but all of the staff at the home helped to ease the transition. He received excellent care and I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating.

Our aunt has dementia and has been a resident at Woodside since October 2020. She receives excellent care and kindness from all the staff. We are kept well informed of her needs and health issues. Her room is spacious and always warm, clean and tidy. The manager's door is always open for a chat.

My Mother-in-law is receiving palliative care from the manager and her wonderful team. For the past 2 months, I cannot fault the compassion, care, and kindness shown to both my Mother-in-law and ourselves. The staff really are very attentive and continually adapt to the care requirements as she progresses
through her end-of-life journey. We feel assured she is getting the best care. In my opinion, the manager leads and manages a great well-staffed team.

Very good service provided. Regular meals and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Facilities are very good and the cleanliness of the premises cannot be faulted. It's a really clean environment. The rooms are very spacious and the staff are always on hand to help if needed. The management have

This care home is so nice, the rooms are nice and they have all that you need, the staff is excellent they are so friendly and they always have a smile on their faces. They help all my needs, I just can’t ask any better than this care home.

My dad has been at Woodside for the last two years. The whole family are so grateful to all the staff for the amazing care and support they give him. The staff are so caring, friendly and professional. Dad has commented himself on how happy he is there. The new manager has implemented lots of improvements.

I'm visiting my very close friend every day. I’m happy with the care home staff and all the support that myself and my friend receive at Woodside. The nurses and care staff are professional. My friend is Polish and staff speaking Polish are always supporting and ensuring she has activities she can manage
because of the language barrier. I’m really happy my friend is looked after very well at Woodside.

With 15 years of experience as an Emergency Services Nurse in my home country and a Registered General Nurse in the UK, I have gained valuable knowledge in the healthcare industry.


When I moved to the UK, I started as a Care Assistant in a care home. It allowed me to understand the care home environment better.


Later on, I pursued more challenging roles such as Unit Manager and Deputy Manager before reaching my current position as a Care Home Manager. As a person, I believe I am fair, firm, honest, and loyal. I am proud and stubborn when it comes to my job and the care home, including the residents and staff. I am dedicated to ensuring that the needs of my residents and staff are met to provide high-quality care and a comfortable living environment for my residents.


Aside from work, I love to travel and explore new places. I also enjoy watching films, listening to music, and spending time with animals. It is an honour to lead our team and provide compassionate care to our residents.
