My husband received respite care from the home for a week. He was very unsettled initially with the change, but all of the staff at the home helped to ease the transition. He received excellent care and I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating.

Our aunt has dementia and has been a resident at Woodside since October 2020. She receives excellent care and kindness from all the staff. We are kept well informed of her needs and health issues. Her room is spacious and always warm, clean and tidy. The manager's door is always open for a chat.

We are very happy with Woodside knowing that she is so well cared for.

My Mother-in-law is receiving palliative care from the manager and her wonderful team. For the past 2 months, I cannot fault the compassion, care, and kindness shown to both my Mother-in-law and ourselves. The staff really are very attentive and continually adapt to the care requirements as she progresses through her end-of-life journey. We feel assured she is getting the best care. In my opinion, the manager leads and manages a great well-staffed team.

My dad has been at Woodside for the last two years. The whole family are so grateful to all the staff for the amazing care and support they give him. The staff are so caring, friendly and professional. Dad has commented himself on how happy he is there. The new manager has implemented lots of improvements. It is so clear how much she and all the staff care about their residents.

I'm visiting my very close friend every day. I’m happy with the care home staff and all the support that myself and my friend receive at Woodside. The nurses and care staff are professional. My friend is Polish and staff speaking Polish are always supporting and ensuring she has activities she can manage because of the language barrier. I’m really happy my friend is looked after very well at Woodside.

All the team at Woodside Care Home, under the leadership of the manager, showed outstanding care, consideration, respect and empathy to my mum during her stay until she sadly passed away. Their dedication and devotion to not only my mum but to all the residents was evident to us all on a daily basis. A sincere thank you to all the staff at Woodside Care Home.

My mum is a resident in this nursing home. The best nurses I ever met are here, they fit my mum’s needs, and they are good at understanding her as her background is not British. Good care for her health and interest to be improved.

I always feel very welcome when I come here. Always a hello how are you. The staff always know where my dad is. I have seen some of the meals that get dished out. My dad always enjoys them and sometimes asks for seconds. He always has a pudding. His room is clean and tidy and his clothes are laundered and put back in his wardrobe. The management is always helpful when I ask about how my dad is.

Great to see Mum in the communal room, so bright, fresh, and spacious. Windows were open on a lovely day, plenty of light coming in. A musical channel on the TV would be just up Mum's street, as she loves a tune. I was able to give Mum a yoghurt and help hre with her milkshake too. It was a privilege. Such an optimistic air about the lounge area. Beautiful views of the old church and gardens. Easy to drop in for an hour, which sadly flew by. Thanks to all staff for their support.

Mihaela SultanJob Title:Home managerJoined: 2022

With 15 years of experience as an Emergency Services Nurse in my home country and a Registered General Nurse in the UK, I have gained valuable knowledge in the healthcare industry.

When I moved to the UK, I started as a Care Assistant in a care home. It allowed me to understand the care home environment better.

Later on, I pursued more challenging roles such as Unit Manager and Deputy Manager before reaching my current position as a Care Home Manager. As a person, I believe I am fair, firm, honest, and loyal. I am proud and stubborn when it comes to my job and the care home, including the residents and staff. I am dedicated to ensuring that the needs of my residents and staff are met to provide high-quality care and a comfortable living environment for my residents.

Aside from work, I love to travel and explore new places. I also enjoy watching films, listening to music, and spending time with animals. It is an honour to lead our team and provide compassionate care to our residents.
