Woodside is nestled in a quiet village of Slipend located in close proximity of Central Bedfordshire, Luton and Hertfordshire.

The home has great accessibility and close to the M1 Motorway making it 30 miles from both London and Buckinghamshire.

The home provides a high standard of accommodation for up to 37 residents. The property which is divided into 3 floors was once a former vicarage to St Andrew's parish next door.

A new wing was added in 2021 providing an additional 10 large bedroom with en-suite wet room facilities.

All very good.
Caring home, staff are like a large family.
Doesn't feel like a care home.
If I need full-time care at a later stage I want to be coming back here.

This home has a wonderful welcoming feel as soon as you reach the front door.
The staff are lovely and caring and the manager has everyone's best interests at heart.
They offer a wide range of fun activities and it is apparent how much the residents enjoy this.
They offer fantastic, personalised
care and do their utmost to meet all needs.
My Nan was there for respite and they made her feel so welcome and knowing that makes me give the manager and the team 10/10.

My mum wasn't at Woodside very long before she sadly passed away, but while she was there, she was extremely well looked after. The management and all the care staff were so lovely, caring and attentive not only to her but to all their residents at all times, Every effort is made to tailor each person's
needs, along with providing stimulating and fun activities. A clean and friendly home, run very efficiently, I would recommend them without hesitation.

It was a terrible time for us, as a family, when we realised that my Father would no longer be able to stay at home with us and needed much more care than we could provide. We were absolutely so happy to find Woodside. Dad was so content. Kindness, caring and patience come before everything else there.
The staff were so good to him and as an ex-guardsman, he did have very high standards! I know I can't use names, but, he was spoiled. They really couldn't have gone out of their way more to make him feel at home. I wanted my Father to end his days at home with me, happy, the fact that he didn't is heartbreaking but I am consoled to know he died happy. He spent his last months looking out at a view over open fields, staff chatting, making the most of staff's willingness to cater to his funny little whims and generally, having a peaceful, happy end of life experience. This is the home that really listens to their residents and gives them what THEY ask for and it is a happier place for that.

Job Title: Home manager

With 15 years of experience as an Emergency Services Nurse in my home country and a Registered General Nurse in the UK, I have gained valuable knowledge in the healthcare industry.


When I moved to the UK, I started as a Care Assistant in a care home. It allowed me to understand the care home environment better.


Later on, I pursued more challenging roles such as Unit Manager and Deputy Manager before reaching my current position as a Care Home Manager. As a person, I believe I am fair, firm, honest, and loyal. I am proud and stubborn when it comes to my job and the care home, including the residents and staff. I am dedicated to ensuring that the needs of my residents and staff are met to provide high-quality care and a comfortable living environment for my residents.


Aside from work, I love to travel and explore new places. I also enjoy watching films, listening to music, and spending time with animals. It is an honour to lead our team and provide compassionate care to our residents.
