My father moved here 4 weeks ago after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. We were welcomed warmly on arrival and felt at ease straight away.
The nurses were highly professional, caring and approachable.
Everybody at the home contributed greatly to my dad’s positive experience at the home ranging
from the cleaners, receptionists, electricians, carers and meal staff. After my dad sadly passed away all the staff behaved with such respect and dignity and care towards the family.
The staff displayed warmth, professionalism and care throughout my father’s time at the home and can highly recommend it.

My aunt spent her final two years in the care of Knights Court Nursing Home. She moved in during the pandemic when I could not visit, and the staff were very helpful with getting her belongings sorted. Throughout her time there, they were so caring and supportive. I live in a different country and was
not able to visit very frequently, but they always facilitated me by bringing the portable phone to my aunt so that we could speak. When I did visit, I found the home to be clean, comfortable and well-serviced. They really work hard to put on activities for the residents and keep them engaged and as active as possible.

I definitely would not recommend this home, they are incapable of even meeting the most basic tasks.
We ended up having to move our Grandmother, and we hope no one else has to go through the problems that we did.
Don’t be fooled by the fake reviews on here, we were definitely fooled.
1. Our Grandmother
lost loads of weight because they did not feed her properly.
2. When she called them for help she was ignored.
3. When she needed changing, they left her all day until she became sore.
4. They did not brush her teeth properly and did not remove her dentures.
5. They misdiagnosed her with dementia, she clearly did not have this, but apparently they eventually diagnose all their patients with this, when they clearly do not have this.
Even her Social worker agreed.

Staff are lovely, and thrive to meet all my friend's needs. They answer the bell with efficiency, they provide whatever my friend wants or needs are at the time. They are friendly and always smiling, the nurses are quick to assess and come up with a plan when there is a change in health. Management
is friendly and always ready to speak and help alleviate any problems or issues.
The home always smells nice (I have been in a few which are not as pleasant) staff cater with tea and coffee for those who are visiting, and I have also noticed allowing a husband or wife to join their other half for meal times, providing them with support even though it's not expected.

My opinion of this care home and service provided, as this is the first experience I have had with care homes for my brother, nothing to compare to measure how good this home is, initially in the first year I was not that impressed with my brother's care, i.e. finding that he had been sitting in soiled
clothing having wet himself then myself having to prompt attention from carers to sort. Also, having provided new items of clothing, i.e. underwear and socks, missing on the next visit. Also, observation of problems with waterworks very slow to be dealt with, resulting in him getting sepsis and being hospitalised for over a week. Most of these seem to be improving since the new manager has arrived! But would suggest that I am very grateful for the care given.

The home and staff have been excellent to my dad. The caring staff are amazing and the efficiency of how everything is dealt with is great. My dad is cared for extremely well. All staff are kind and caring.

I really am so grateful to all the staff at Knight Court. They are really so caring and go out of their way to see my mum is comfortable. They always have a smile on their face and are chatty and caring towards my mum. They will always encourage Mum to eat and drink. They keep her room nice and clean.

I have been visiting the care home on a regular basis since May 2021. Excellent service provided by the staff, who come across as friendly but also professional. The reception staff provide you with all the information you need when you enter and help with lateral flow testing. They also keep in touch
with you to give updates. The young staff member was fantastic. Then the nurses are also excellent and at times go the extra mile to help and look after the residents. The lifestyle coordinator is someone who is an excellent communicator and makes sure everything runs smoothly. Other staff are also friendly and I find this care home to be delivering high standards in quality care. I certainly would be recommending them to my family and friends. Well done and keep up the good work.

A good friend of mine and also my family has been a resident of Knight Court Nursing Home for some time now, and throughout her stay, she has been incredibly well looked after and cared for. I visit her regularly, though not as much during the last 2-years understandably due to COVID, with it important
always to know she is safe and secure. The nursing and admin staff are always friendly and attentive, keeping me well informed of how she, as well as proactively contacting me in situations where I need to make aware. I can't thank them enough, in particular, the lead lifestyle coordinator, who has been brilliant.

My mother-in-law has been in the care home since March 2020 and has been very well cared for in these difficult times, and the staff are happy to respond to our requests. The help that the staff provide is much appreciated, and any concerns/queries we may have are dealt with.
Now visits are allowed,
we are able to visit at weekends. The activities offered seem to be good, but are reduced as one of the entertainment staff left in January 2022 and is still to be replaced. My mother-in-law is very happy and very well looked after, and the family are happy with the care she receives.

Our experience with Knight’s Court overall has been positive. Our Mum is in the dementia unit. Some of the carers are exemplary, have been around consistently and obviously genuinely care for the residents and do their best to give them a good experience even in their confusion. We have also been very
fortunate with a wonderful 1:1 for Mum.


One critique would be that sometimes things are not picked up on as quickly as we would like, for example, the need for dental attention or other medical issues.


However, management is available and communicates freely when you get in touch, also they do seem to really care.


The head of activities does a wonderful job of running interesting and therapeutic activities for the residents and her communication with them is lovely. The activities organiser is also excellent, and together they have managed the challenges of covid amazingly. We are grateful to all who have kept on working in these very difficult times even at risk to their families.

My mother entered the home 2 weeks before the first COVID lockdown in 2020 and has been very well cared for in these difficult times and all the staff are happy to respond to our requests. The help that the staff provide is much appreciated and any concerns/queries we may have are dealt with quickly
with understanding and a smile (even from behind a mask).
In the absence of allowed visits, the entertainment staff have been offering regular Skype calls which have helped a lot and more recently as the regulations have been relaxed, one to one visits are now also being offered, all be it if these could be extended to cover weekends it would assist working persons like myself. The current activities offered are very good bearing in mind the current restrictions in place. The family feel very comfortable that Mum is in good hands.

Lovely staff, very caring of the residents and go above and beyond to make residents comfortable
During the Covid 19 pandemic and lockdown they tried to balance government guidelines and the need of the residents to interact with family whilst keeping the residents safe. And, although they did a good

I would like to recommend Knights Court provision for patient activities and the way staff have gone above and beyond keeping me and my family in touch with my husband and how they have provided entertainment and occupational therapy, including a sensory room for their patients.

The experience we have had is very good. It is nice that there is someone who can speak our language, so mum can communicate with her very well and also spend some quality time with mum. Mum is also very happy there.

My parents needed to move to a care home during the pandemic, not easy for anyone. The staff at Knights Court have done a magnificent job making this transition as smooth as possible, working hard to gain my parents’ trust and making them feel safe and at home. The care the nurses and care coordinators
provide is fantastic, the manager is wonderful.

Knights Court Nursing Home is a pleasant and caring place. My father, now in his 90s was completely independent, and it took time for him to settle in. The staff are friendly, actively listening to him and family members to take personal preferences into consideration; so caring for him in and individual
way. I would visit my father three or four times weekly to maintain family interaction; but now with the Covid-19 Pandemic, social contact is at a distance in line with government guidelines or by Skype. Unfortunately, my father does not fully understand the current restrictions, so often asks when I will come to visit him, despite repeated explanations from staff and family about the impact of the Coronavirus. Difficult as it may be, the Home Manager and staff have handled the present precautions and restrictions well to protect residents, staff and relatives. The activities team are great and work hard to occupy and engage residents, which contributes to their mental wellbeing.

My father-in-law became a resident at Knights Court Nursing Home last year as he needed care and 24 hour supervision. He is comfortable and is being well cared for. I am not able to see him as often as before because of the Coronavirus situation. However, we have conversations by SKype each week. I
am pleased that we found Knights Court, where the manager and staff do everything to make residents feel at home.
