Maryville Care Home

The home manager was lovely and very kind to my grandad and she always made him happy. She would always show love and compassion for him. She was very compassionate. His room was lovely and very warm, he was given a lot of comfort. Very good hygiene and lots of good activities for residents even board games, movies etc. They would also host lots of parties. Overall wonderful.

My mother regretfully began to show signs of dementia and as a family, we found we were unable to care for her due to our own medical problems. Maryville has been excellent, helping her to eat properly and to get in liquids. She lost weight, and by all the care taken by Maryville, she regained some of what was lost. She has perked up and is taking an interest in the activities, especially music and card game sessions. We as a family are so happy to see our Mum coming back to us.

My mother who has Alzheimer's has been a resident at Maryville Care Home since April 2024. The home is clean, bright and tidy with a large, well-kept outdoor space for the residents to use. The staff are caring and supportive of the residents and their families. The staff are also very vigilant about getting medical help and advice if it is needed. There are plenty of activities and my mum is always encouraged to join in. My mum is always treated with respect and dignity as are the other residents. Maryville is definitely a calm and welcoming place.

I will be able to return to Australia reassured that my 100-year-old mother is being well looked after, the facilities are excellent and the dedicated staff and most caring, as they attend to all my mother's needs. Her general health and outlook seemed to have improved since my last visit. Good management, a secure and well-kept environment, with the most caring staff provides a positive home for my mother.

My Mother-in-law has been at Maryville Care Home for one year, and we couldn't be happier with the care she's receiving. The staff are incredibly compassionate, treating her with dignity and respect. They keep us well-informed about her health and are always approachable when we have questions. The facilities are clean and comfortable and there's a real sense of community. It's a relief to know she's in a safe and supportive environment where she's truly cared for.

I am so pleased we found Maryville. We visited in advance to view the home and facilities. Then a home visit was made to us to learn about Mum and ascertain her needs. The care team all came to welcome Mum on her first day and encouraged us to make her room her own. They took time to get to know Mum and arrange her care plan. All the staff I have met are compassionate, supportive and kind. The team leaders are excellent, equally so the management and administrative staff who have an open door policy and are very approachable. Mum and I love the beautiful garden and enjoy spending time there. There is a very enthusiastic and committed Activities Coordinator who plans lots of activities for the residents. Maryville is very clean and comfortable, the lounges and dining areas are beautifully kept and the atmosphere is always calm and purposeful. I visit daily and can now spend quality time with Mum rather than run around trying to meet all her needs myself and I really value that.

The manager is always around to talk with as well with her office door open and this is very reassuring and welcoming.

I have a background in healthcare in the USA. My mother has been here for over a year and I am very pleased with the excellent care given to her. The care is detailed, kind and observant to meet her need and the needs of the service providers. The quality of care in some cases exceeds the care in a lot of care homes in the USA. My visit to Maryville Care Home has always been a pleasure, with a polite and friendly welcome. I can also see how happy and relaxed my mother is when I see her. This is all thanks to the care staff who provide continuous support and attention to my mother and other residents. My mother enjoys the group activities that are provided twice a day. We have discovered that our mum has great talent in watercolour. She enjoys the crafts including pottery and flower arranging. Thanks from the family, Maryville Care Home for all the hard work and for making Mum happy!

Maryville Care Home has been an absolute godsend for my mother, especially considering her language barrier. My heartfelt gratitude extends to the Home Manager and her remarkable team for their exceptional care and understanding towards my mother, who no longer speaks English. Home Manager's ability to communicate in my mother's mother tongue has been invaluable in ensuring my mother feels understood and comfortable in her new environment. All the staff have been incredibly supportive in helping her settle down. Their patience, empathy, and willingness to bridge the language gap have made all the difference. I visit the care home daily, they take the time to update me on my mother's day, ensuring I'm always informed and reassured about her well-being. Home itself is well-maintained and provides a nurturing atmosphere. The care team have not only eased my concerns but have also made my mother feel at home, and for that, I'm immensely grateful.

We are so thankful to all the staff in Maryville Care Home for their dedication and kindness. The care that our aunt received was exceptional. Her every need was met promptly and with a smile.

The service was very clean and smelt very fresh, there were no odours. In all, I would recommend this service it was a delight to visit.

Maryville has taken excellent care of my sister. The staff are very kind and caring and very generous with their time. They have ensured my sister is comfortable at all times and I am very glad and grateful she is a resident here.

Maryville is an exceptional facility and we are so happy with the care being given to our aunt. From the managers to the nursing and care staff I cannot fault them in any way. They go above and beyond to ensure the comfort and happiness of the residents. one staff member spent 6 hours extra on her shift ensuring my aunt was comfortable - we also have been taken care of with such kindness, again totally out of genuine care and kindness. Thank you for all you do - exceptional facility.

My mum has been a resident here for five years and is sorry to leave. The staff have been brilliant with their knowledge, understanding of needs and most of all their care. My mum is only leaving to be nearer relatives and is very clear that if is the staff that make Maryville as good as it is. Thank you.

My husband and I were so relieved when we learned that his sister had been accepted at this lovely care home. She was moved straight from hospital to a bright, comfortable en-suite bedroom with a garden view. She settled in and became part of the community. We were able to visit and see for ourselves the dedication of the staff in giving excellent care and for taking the time to have conversations with her. The atmosphere was one of calm efficiency. Our son and his family also visited her, sometimes with musical accompaniments! As her health deteriorated, we were contacted frequently with updates until her peaceful death. We truly appreciated the way in which her last years were spent.

Since my parents have moved to Maryville Care Home, we, as a family, are relieved and satisfied with the care they received and all their requirements are met. Because of good care and detailed attention to their needs, they are very well-settled and happy.

My husband was extremely well cared for. He was given excellent love and care. We, as his family, were given the same love and care. Even in death, he was given dignity and respect.
