The care and support Maryville Care Home staff has given my auntie over many years is second to none. My auntie has always been treated with the utmost dignity. My approach tries to be both serious and light-hearted. By “serious” I mean highlighting matters of great importance giving meaning to our whole outlook on life and death, in the light of the Gospel of Christ. When anyone wants to talk on something that concerns them, I am a willing listener. By “light-hearted” I mean allowing plenty of time for laughter and banter which all of us need. Hello, I am Ted, and I am the maintenance man here. I make sure that everything around the house works well so my colleagues can look after the residents in a more efficient way.
I am happy to drive the minivan when it is needed for our residents. Of course, it is much better to drive when we can go out for a coffee instead of going to the hospital but sometimes, we need that kind of things too. I have been proudly working at Maryville for more than 20 years.
