Springfield Care Centre

My father has been residing in Springfield for two years, and I can honestly say all the staff are excellent. The cleaning staff make sure all the rooms and corridors are spotless. The laundry team wash and dry the residents' clothes daily, and the kitchen staff provide tasty and fresh food every day. Special thanks have to go to the nurses and carers who provide exceptional care to the residents twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

We would definitely recommend Springfield Care Home for dementia care.

I come and visit my dad almost seven days every week and have been doing so for well over a year. The staff have been very accommodating, and my dad receives very good care.

My stepfather has been staying in the Springfield Care house for more than two years already. I have evidence of significant improvement in his care and stable, calm condition recently. He was really anxious, screaming and being aggressive almost all the time before. The medication and care provided have facilitated him much. The outdoor activities are such a great idea for all the residents.

My father is a resident at Springfield Care Centre. He is well cared for and looked after. He has dementia unfortunately, but the staff do a fantastic job. The staff have great patience with my father and make his time at Springfield as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend Springfield.

Special thanks to all the team. Dad is clearly settled and happy and I am delighted. The staff at Springfield have become an extension of our family and we are grateful for all that they do - a carer's life is not an easy one. Whenever we have a question or concern we feel able to have a conversation with the staff who are keen to address any issues, no matter how minor. Additionally, the home is being transformed with innovative schemes and ideas. Hats off to all!

Mum, even through her dementia, kept her sense of humour.

Visited my auntie yesterday for the first time in this centre, and I was impressed by the kindness, patience, respect and empathy that all staff show to the residents. The room is very clean, and my auntie is very happy with how everybody takes care of her. I would like to say a big thank you to all staff.

Very impressed with the new decoration and refurbishment. Done to a very high standard. Once all areas are rooms done - will make the home look so much better. Happy to see how residents seem content and relaxed.

I could not praise this care home enough. My mum was with them for a very short period of time, around two weeks. The care, support, commitment and compassion they showed my mum, even on her difficult days when she wouldn't eat or drink, they never gave up. She looked presentable at all times, and it felt like she was at home and comfortable within her surroundings. The staff treated her with dignity and respect and went above and beyond for our mum and us as a family in her last days, and we were all made so comfortable and supported. I would recommend this care home to anyone who is looking for a home from home care, it's clean, fresh, has such a homely feel, and the staff are fantastic and always on hand with support. Thank you for everything you did for our mum, we will never forget what you did that we couldn't as a family with someone living with dementia and health problems. All our love.

The care and support of the staff have been excellent, and Mum has been treated with dignity, care and respect. Cleanliness was satisfactory. Food and drink good. The play specialist who did the activities was excellent. Mums room could have been better; it was dark and gloomy, paint on the walls need addressing. My other concern was that although Mum has her own clothes, she was often dressed in someone else's clothes. Overall, a good experience.

The staff and management team at Springfield nursing home are excellent. Really get to know the patient and family. Very understanding and have empathy with the stress and concern that families feel. They understand dementia and all it entails. I was extremely worried when my husband was accepted at Springfield, but with the management and staff so helpful and kind, I have become happier and feel I can trust my husband to them. I can't thank them enough.

As an Alzheimer's patient, my husband cannot tell me anything, so it's so good to visit my husband and see he's clean and shaved and always looks content. The staff are all very nice and helpful people, also when you phone, they also ask how I am. The care home manager is also always there with a smile, and all these things take away any concerns you may have.

When my mum was living on her own, it was very difficult for my mum and family in many ways. As a result, my mum's health deteriorated rapidly. Now my mum is so relaxed and happy and looks like she has improved significantly. This is due to the staff, who are always happy to help and give 100%. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone and feel confident putting my mums care in their hands. Thank you.

I visit my dad regularly and the home is always clean and tidy, well run. The atmosphere is calming and the staff knowledgeable and friendly.

Since Mum has been in Springfield, I have been very impressed with the staff and how they interact with Mum. She seems very settled and happy. It is enjoyable to see the activities that residents take part in or social media.
