At Stamford, the team are trained in nursing and residential care, dementia care, palliative, post operative convalescence and respite care. They are also experienced in tailoring support for adults with challenging behaviour, including for younger adults with a physical disability. Advanced bookings are available.

Spacious bedrooms and living areas are ideal for residents with a disability, en-suite and decorated to achieve a relaxing atmosphere. There are call systems and TV points in bedrooms which clients are welcome to personalise.

Diet is assessed shortly after arrival and meals are made from freshly-sourced produce. There are hot and cold alternatives available and a choice of dining with other residents or in the privacy of bedrooms.

There is a real sense of community at Stamford. Games, reminiscence sessions and trips to the parks are included in a varied activities programme, with the home committed to supporting personal interests.

My father has been a resident since March 2018. The staff are very helpful in all matters. My father has lost his mobility due to an extensive stay in hospital and unfortunately, the staff at the home are unable to assist. He is only moved by hoist, which isn't helping him to regain strength. He has
private physio but I would like the staff to assist him rather than continual hoist. I appreciate the home's policy. I cannot fault the care home at all.

Mostly good experience for my mother and us. You could have more staff to help as sometimes short staffed.
More specialist help required I.e cutting toenails (has been over 3 months) and teeth when required is drawn out.

Overall, a good experience so far. Staff need to be more friendlier and welcoming. Personal cleanliness could be improved. Male patients need to be shaved and mobility enhanced. Needs more interaction between staff and resident.

The home is clean and inviting, the staff are caring, knowledgeable, respectful and aware of resident and family needs. I would like to thank all the staff who supported my dad and his family through a hard time. Our dad lost his fight to live with people who cared - our special thanks go out to one
member of staff who found time to explain how dad was on a daily basis.

The staff are friendly, polite and respectful, which includes the managers, nurses carers, reception and caterers, however, the ratio of staff to residents needs to be increased.
The selection of food is balanced and varied, however, I would prefer water or milk for refreshment instead of juice daily.
The care home smells fresher than in the past, and the dining and living areas are clean, bright and homely. Overall, I am happy with the care provided for my husband.

When I walk into the care home I'm always greeted with a smile.
The office staff will always answer any questions and will point me in another direction if need be.
All the carers are very courteous and polite. The caring is always the same whether they are busy or what.

My mother has moved here from another home in February last year. She is much happier here "so much to do", she said. Stamford Care Home is a vast improvement on the previous home in my opinion. The staff are cheerful and welcoming when I visit, but everyone is most kind. Very good facilities well kept
and very clean. Reception staff are very knowledgeable and understandable when discussing various points. All in all, a very well run care home. Many thanks.

The staff are excellent and are helpful and constructive and considering the work they have to do, they always have a cheery smile for all.
One doesn't find many care homes with such a relaxed and helpful staff.
The care is excellent and the food likewise.
All in all an excellent facility.

Since my mum has been at Stamford my worries have decreased 100%. I have seen my mum become the person she once was; happy, bubbly, smiling, content and socialising. When my mum's happy, I'm happy.
Stamford have been amazing, supportive, helpful, kind, caring and always there to assist my mum and family.
The care mum gets here is amazing. Without them, life would have been awful. They have saved my sanity, taken away my stress and made mum happy.

Stamford is a very caring nursing home but I wish that more stimulation could be provided for the residents. They do offer some sessions but in my view, there should be many more. For example, music is very popular and there should be sessions at least twice if not 3 times a week.
