We would like to thank everyone at Oxford House. They have really looked after our grandad/Dad. He has been here a few weeks now. We feel he has settled in very well. He often says how lovely the carers and staff are. Everyone really treats family very well when visiting. Thank you so much.

The care & nursing help exceeded my expectations on all levels. The nursing home (Oxford House) is kept especially clean & tidy. No awkward smells, lovely! Thank you to the staff who are all involved. Generally a very well presented nursing home, a credit to the cleaners & admin staff. What more can I say but thank you very much for my wife's stay & care! I am sure the calm & serene outlook was what was needed for my wife's recovery from delusion at hospital. Thank you all very very much.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that both you and your wife had such a positive experience with us. It is especially rewarding to know that our care played a part in supporting your wife's recovery and overall wellbeing....
Nothing was too much trouble and they made his last days as comfortable and stress free as possible for him as well as all the family.
The staff were always smiling and caring and looked after my brother with kindness and respect.
They also looked after my mum many years ago so we were happy for my brother to get a room at the home, as he wished to be placed with them.
Would recommend Oxford house as a caring and welcoming home for a loved one.
Your recognition of our team's kindness and dedication will...
The staff are friendly, approachable, and genuinely caring. They take the time to chat with residents and visitors, and it's clear they treat everyone with kindness and respect. There's always a calm, positive feeling throughout the home, and residents appear comfortable and well looked after.
Each time I visit, I leave feeling reassured and impressed by the dedication of the team. It's a lovely environment, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oxford House Nursing Home.
Thank you for your kind words and support. We are Happy to hear that you consistently experience the warm atmosphere, high standards of care, and dedication from our team. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback regarding your personal experience with our Home.
The staff also show an interest in my well being which is very caring of them.
Thank you for sharing your feedback and your kind words. We are pleased that you feel both welcome and confident in your husband's care. Supporting both our residents and their families is important to us.
The care my dear sister received, from both the managers and staff, shortly before she passed, in November 2025, was excellent. They did their very best to alleviate the most upsetting and emotional situation for both of us.
And when I returned to the Care Home, to tidy matters relating to my sister's passing, I was truly touched by the offers of condolences by everyone there. I could tell how much she was loved. It replicated exactly the passing of my dear Mother at the home a few years earlier.
I will always be grateful for what Oxford House did, for both my Mother and sister, in their final days. It still means a lot.
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt review and for your kind words about our team. We are honoured that you entrusted Oxford House with the care of your loved ones. We will ensure your kind words are shared with the whole team.
The nurses are highly skilled, attentive, and incredibly kind, always putting residents' wellbeing first. The care staff are warm, patient, and treat everyone with dignity and genuine affection - nothing is ever too much trouble.
The cleaners deserve huge praise too - the home is consistently spotless, fresh, and welcoming.
Oxford House sets the gold standard for care. An exceptional team delivering first-class service every single day. Highly recommended.
Thank you for your kind and thoughtful review, we are very proud of our team and the daily care we deliver.
It looks and feels like a big house that has been converted to a Care Home, because that's what it is - it's not a purpose built facility, and this gives it a homely, somewhat eclectic, feel.
Where it's outstanding, and this is by far the most important thing, is the professionalism and attitude of the staff and management. Everyone is highly committed to the welfare and wellbeing of the residents, and staff are friendly, approachable, calm and patient. If you value a low staff turnover rate, and you should, you'll find it at Oxford House.
Thank you for your lovely review. Knowing that our care has made a positive difference to you and your loved one is the greatest reward for our team.
Regards Matt

My friend has been a resident in Oxford House on respite care for the last three months. When he arrived he was suffering from self neglect over many months. The staff took him in and during this time they have restored his self respect and dignity. He has been, and is well cared for. The manager and her staff have given me every assistance in my capacity as his attorney to restore his well being. I thank them all for their friendly and courteous assistance which make every visit a pleasure.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It is much appreciated and will be shared with the whole team.
My father has been here since March 2024 and I regularly visit him twice a week. In that time I have got to know many members of staff and have always been very impressed with the high level of care and professionalism they all show when attending to my father (and other residents). The management are always available and happy to discuss my issues that may arise. The food here is always of a high quality and varied, and the room is clean, spacious and well aired. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the level of care provided by Oxford House and believe that it represents good value for money.

My father's partner has been a resident at Oxford House for almost six years now and will be 94 this year. I'm sure getting to this age has a lot to do with the excellent care she receives at Oxford House. My father who has always visited regularly is also treated with the utmost respect and kindness.

Mum has been very comfortable at Oxford House. She is well supported by staff who are very friendly. The room is nice and is kept clean. It is well furnished and is maintained well. Anything that Mum needs is sorted quickly and the staff are always on hand to help Mum e.g. changing her, keeping her comfortable, giving medication. The staff look after family and friends who visit as well, they always ask if they want any food/drinks whilst visiting.

It was a daunting time for our family, finding a caring setting where we knew Mum's needs would be met. Oxford House immediately put those worries to rest; the staff are professional, caring, and kind. Mum is reaching the end of her life and being in this safe, thoughtful place is a gift that gives us a sense of security and dignity to our Mum.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, it is much appreciated and will be shared with the team.
My partner has only been in Oxford House for one month so it is still early days, all staff have been very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The carers and nurses do a good job and all the activities staff are very enthusiastic. The kitchen, cleaning, maintenance and laundry staff are also proficient and amenable. Food and drink preferences are noted and provided for individuals. The meals are very basic and not wildly exciting. The management makes themselves available for personal discussions despite their busy workloads. So far, so good.
Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated and will be shared with the team.

Amanda started her career in care in June 2007, working as a carer for Oxford House Community Care. She completed her Adult Nursing Diploma training in September 2009 and joined Oxford House Nursing Home in February 2010 as a registered nurse. Amanda was promoted to deputy manager in 2018 and has been the Registered Manager since November 2020.
Amanda decided to become a nurse as she loves helping people & receives job satisfaction from her role in helping others.
"At Oxford House, we have a great team and we are well supported by the owners. The residents feel like family and I strive to do the very best I can for them".

I started Oxford House in 2010 as a Care Assistant, this was my first care role and the reason I went into a career in nursing. I moved out of the area and worked in other care settings but nowhere else had the teamwork, family feel or values quite like we have at Oxford House. After receiving my BSc with Hons in Nursing, I returned as a qualified nurse in 2020 and was supported to undertake a postgraduate course. I returned and was promoted to Lead Nurse in 2023 and Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead in September 2024. I have grown both personally and professionally at Oxford House and am very proud to be part of the team.

I have been a chef at Oxford House Nursing Home since 2020. I have found the job very challenging at times but very rewarding too. My passion for food, alongside working with people and for people, assisting their different needs made me change my career path and I became a chef about 6 years ago. I love my job as I relish seeing our residents enjoying the food. It's very emotional hearing words such as " the best meal ever", and "that dish was gorgeous". I love the home too. The teamwork is outstanding and it is the best place I have ever worked. There is a family atmosphere that helps you feel appreciated. My goals are always high - to provide an outstanding service to our residents and I always look for opportunities to improve my skills and knowledge.
I love politics and in my free time, I love gardening, reading books and socialising.
