The Windmill Care Centre is located on the outskirts of Slough and provides residents with a bright and comfortable living environment, noted for its pleasant environment and quality nursing and dementia care.

All rooms at the home are en-suite and are decorated with bright and modern furnishings throughout, while the home has ample communal spaces throughout in which to organise regular activities and events. A regular programme of activities is provided by an activities coordinator, encouraging residents to lead healthy and enriching lives.

The home has a strong link with the local area, as residents regularly meet with local groups to develop friendships and increase happiness and well-being. Many of the home's residents are supported to maintain their independence by being actively involved with local groups.

Having visited consistently over the past 2 years we have noticed a vast improvement in the way The Windmill Care centre is being run. These changes we have noticed over the past three months with new management and staff in place. It's very reassuring to see such positive steps being taken and we look
forward to seeing the continued improvements that are taking place.

I have visited The Windmill Care Centre several times to attend birthday and other celebrations, of one of your residents, whom I have known for at least 55 years. His wife is wheelchair-bound and is driven a considerable distance by her wonderful carer.


I cannot praise too highly the care and dedication

of your staff, who are always helpful and courteous. You create a warm and caring atmosphere.

My mother has been at the care home for five years and the care and love is second to none. The staff are polite and are always willing to help. The staff on the ground floor are superb. It would be nice to have more permanent staff, one thing though, is that one person, in particular, needs more help,
she is brilliant but one on her own is wrong. They started doing tea and coffee and biscuits that has now stopped. Why?

Mum moved in on November 29th.
We are very pleased with how well she has settled in.
The staff are all very helpful and kind.
They all take time to get to know her and us.
It is lovely to have our Mum back.
She is always in different clothes and always clean.
She is taken out for lunch and shopping.
It's
lovely to have "peace of mind" and knowing that Mum is safe and being looked after.

My Mum was staying at The Windmill Care Centre. Sadly she passed away 8th Dec 2016. I cannot praise the staff that took care of her enough, They were caring, kind and welcomed me whenever I visited Mum. The day Mum passed away they all came into her room to pay their respects, they were genuinely upset.
I would tell anyone what a wonderful home it is and I would recommend it without hesitation.
Thank you to all of the staff at The Windmill.

My name is June Jones i am part of the Lifestyle team at the Windmill Care Home. I have been at the Windmill for almost 3 years. My job is to try and get the residents involved in doing different activities such as games, Arts and Craft ,Baking, types of mind games like crosswords word search and many more things. My job is also to book entertainment for them and also to get them out in the community. We also do 1 to 1s with residents in their rooms if they prefer.


I love the work i do it is always a pleasure to come to work. I get to meet great people all with different stories and challenges and this is what makes my job worth while. I work with a great team and as individuals we bring something different.
