Haven Lodge made the last few days of my darling husbands life so very comfortable and peaceful. All the staff covered my husband and our family in love, patience and understanding. Feeding both our bodies and our souls. Nothing was too much trouble. Always with kindness. There are not enough words to describe the care we all received. Our never ending and grateful thanks to everyone
Thank you for your lovely review. We appreciate your kind feedback and we are so pleased we could be there at your time of need. You are welcome to the home anytime.
What a wonderful home. My dad was moved here from hospital and sadly was only resident for a few days before passing away. But in that time both he, and his family were shown care, compassion, respect and given the dignity that everyone deserves. Nothing was to much trouble. The staff helped us smile, cry, and generally cope with what was happening. We were kept informed and supported by a team of true professionals. Thank you.
Mum has been a resident since July 2024. Our family visit daily and are welcomed at the home at any time. All the staff, from the Nursing Home Manager, the Nurses, the Carers, the Lifestyles Team, the team that prepare and cook the meals, the Maintenance and Cleaning staff as well as the Laundry staff always greet us and chat with us. I am very impressed with their professionalism as well as their understanding of the residents' needs.
Lovely staff, very attentive nothing seems too much trouble they are taking very good care of my dad. Good food choice catering for all tastes. Lovely tranquil grounds to sit out in. Seems to have lots of activities
Very happy with the care that my father received during the latter stages of his dementia care. He stayed there for 4 and a half months before his passing. No issues with the staff or management and if there was minor problems they got rectified immediately. Very grateful for the care he received.
Just like to say a big thank you to the manager and all the staff at Haven Lodge for the amazing job they do nothing is ever too much trouble for them and I am so pleased we moved my cousin to Haven Lodge back in June 2024. Thank you.
I suppose the only negative is that the staff seem very busy. More staff would be beneficial to residents to add a little extra quality time.
My Dad spent his last 3 months at Haven Lodge and within this time the staff, whether nursing, carers, activity or housekeeping showed nothing but kindness and respect to my Dad and his family. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the dignity of each individual resident was looked after. We were kept informed of every change with Dad which was very appreciated. Haven Lodge makes you feel as if you are one big family. You soon realise that family and friends of other residents also support each other. I always felt Dad was in safe hands when we used Haven Lodge for respite, so it was an easy decision that this was where we wanted Dad to be, when caring for him at home was no longer a possibility. Thank you to everyone who looked after Dad for me. I would definitely recommend Haven Lodge.
The atmosphere is very friendly with a variety of activities taking place on a day-to-day basis.
This care home stands out from all the rest with celebrations for residents and their families all welcome including the recent superb D-Day celebration.
When we were allowed in we found the staff to be pleasant, helpful and open to our observations (positive and, occasionally, negative).
The home has benefitted from some TLC over the last few months and it looks better, the rooms could do with some TLC too.
There's a choice of food which always looks and smells nice.
Our mother, 96 and mobile, doesn't need as much assistance as many residents but she does have dementia. When she gets in a pickle the staff have strategies to help her.
The home has a wonderful lifestyle coach who organises lots of entertainment and activities.
My mother, however, is lonely, the staff are extremely busy and have little time to sit and chat with her (sadly the other residents are not on her wavelength).
We visit regularly and the staff are happy for us to call Mum for a chat.
Thank you for rating your overall experience 4 stars, we are pleased to read you are happy with our food and lifestyle offering and the dementia approaches our colleagues use. At Haven Lodge we are renovating areas of the home to improve the facilities that we provide residents. We want to reassure you also that our colleagues give equal time to each resident.
Well done to all concerned.
The food is very good, with staff helping out residents when needed. The overall experience of all our family is excellent we are made welcome and told to treat Haven Lodge just like Mum's home.
Really made to feel at home and felt confident the resident was well taken care of. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were careful to respect the fact I had a small child with me. Thank you!
Thank you for rating us 5 stars! Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
Excellent nursing care in a well-staffed friendly environment. The individuals’ needs are considered and residents are encouraged to participate in well-run appropriate activities. Management were approachable, listened and acted on concerns and requests.

I am very pleased with the care and nursing my husband receives. The care staff are amazing, the surroundings are light, bright and kept very clean. The management are always available if needs be. This has been the case since my husband arrived here a year ago.

This nursing home is fantastic. The care given to my mum is amazing and I cannot praise them enough. My mum is so happy and content in Haven Lodge. Both my sister and myself are so grateful to the staff and management.
I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart.
Found the home is safe and the staff are helpful and keep me informed on how my wife is doing. Having not been at the home long I am happy my wife is being well looked after.
I am welcomed in the home. Everyone is helpful and I am kept up to date with my wife's progress.
