The fully trained and supportive staff, pride themselves on the delivery of the highest standard of personalised care, promoting resident independence and respecting their dignity at all times.

Langley Lodge is situated in a pleasant area of Westcliff-on-Sea and enjoys views of the Thames Estuary.

The onsite cook provides home cooked meals and is happy to cater for all tastes and dietary requirements.

With the activities co-ordinator on hand and with regular visiting entertainment, residents are able to stay active and entertained as much as they wish.

My mother and father were both residents at Langley Lodge and were able to share a large sunny bedroom, which was ideal for them. The care here was excellent, the staff genuinely caring and warm. The qualified nursing staff are very experienced and the nursing care was outstanding, particularly at end
of life.
The home is very well managed, a social worker who came to assess my mother’s care commented on the high quality of record-keeping and monitoring, and we found the staff very responsive to any concerns raised, we never felt brushed off or ignored.

My mum was a resident at Langley for the last 18months of her life. As a medical professional, I have been in and around many clinical care settings and I am very happy with the quality of care my mum received. It was a home, not a care facility and the staff looked after my mum and our family with
a warm embrace.


She had complex medical needs and at times required skilled nursing care to look after her. This care was consistently tailored to her as an individual and always respectful to her preferences, especially at end of life. The staff were responsive to communication and always open to discussion and feedback. Maintaining dignity was very important to Mum and the staff always had time to make sure her hair was brushed and her earrings were different every day.


Our family is very grateful for the love, care and respect given to Mum at Langley in the last stage of her life.

Langley Lodge provided fantastic care for my mother throughout her time in the home.
Right up to her last days, she was treated with dignity and care. Any request that was made was considered and completed where possible, without hesitation where appropriate.
I would highly recommend this care facility.

My mother was in remission from renal failure and transferred from a hospice to Langley Lodge. The management were very open about the home, associated fees and we were shown available bedrooms, communal lounge/kitchen etc. Mum had a single room with a view to the sea. Staff were attentive to her needs
and requirements and friendly towards the family. The nursing team understood her condition and requirements. Staff were very caring towards the family when mum passed away and overall Langley Lodge was a good choice of nursing home for mum's last weeks.

This lady friend was unmarried and has no family to support her when Parkinson's began to set in slowly. She was still active but eventually found she needed care and was recommended to Langly Lodge by her solicitor who had had a relative cared for there. There were several other homes in the area but
the official care home survey gave Langly Lodge a high rating on all account. From our experience, this friend was treated with kindness and allowed to fo out with a member of staff to local clubs and her regular church attendance. The management protected her from visitors they felt were a possible problem and she was given a comfortable room to live in and was able to eat her meals on her own, which she preferred. In all respects, she was happy and spent her last years in a very friendly and caring environment. I would be happy to be a client.

Friendly caring staff. My Mum was happy there and felt secure. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Langley Lodge made the last 5 months of my Mum's life the best they could be.

Our Dad had a bad experience in a different care home and so we were very fussy as to where we placed him and we were recommended to Langley Lodge. As soon as we walked through the door we knew we wanted our Dad to live there. He had Parkinsons and Dementia and we can't recommend Langley Lodge enough
for their care and attention in looking after Dad. On many visits, we found staff members just sitting, talking to him and making him smile. Such a personal care is given by all, including the management team. Such a happy vibe and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. We would highly recommend this care home to any family.

A very caring and friendly team who worked hard to offer individualised care. Worked with us as a family and allowed us to contribute to dad's care and in care planning. We cannot thank the kind and caring staff of this care home enough for their professional, diligent and kind approach in supporting our Mum in the last two weeks of her life. Aside from the excellent nursing care and liaison with community services, all members of staff showed Mum unbounded respect
and support, affording her a level of independence which would have been impossible in a hospital environment.

I found the staff excellent, caring and cheerful always. In hindsight, perhaps a care home would have been better than a nursing home as most patients were bed-bound. As I improved I would have liked more activities and social interaction. Staff were always cheerful and chatty however.

We were very pleased with Langley Lodge, the carers were all so kind and thoughtful, nothing was too much trouble.
Dad was looked after with the utmost dignity and consideration.

My partner and I cannot thank Langley Lodge enough for their kindness and compassion shown to my Dad, particularly in his final hours.
He was treated with respect and dignity, and we knew we had made the right decision in his placement here from day one.
The staff are wonderful, from the management
team through to the care staff and kitchen staff! They were always warm and welcoming.

My husband was admitted to Langley Lodge at the beginning of February 2017. He was very well cared for by all staff up until he passed away in May 2017. His stay there was very comfortable and he often described the nurses as his friends. He loves the food and often told me he loved the nurses. They
were very helpful with me also and communicated with me all the time.
