After over a month long stay in Hospital, it was clear my father-in-law needed full time nursing care. After visiting several homes in our area, we knew straight away that Langley Lodge would be the right place for him, it just felt right and met all of his requirements. The Management and staff were so welcoming and answered all of our questions and fears. It took him just a few days to settle in and get into a new routine. He started eating well putting back weight he'd lost in hospital, and began gaining strength and walking again within days of being there, the change in his mental health greatly improved too. My father-in-law shares a large bright room with another gentleman which he's happy with. He gets showered each morning, has breakfast in his room and is able to walk aided to sit in a chair by the window with nice views. The nurses, care workers and Management are wonderful and make his days the best they can be, he wakes each day with a smile, he couldn't be happier.
I cannot recommend Langley Lodge enough! My father is so happy there, he loves it! The staff make him feel special every single day and the care he has received is the highest level possible. The trauma of our father having to go in care and the emotional rollercoaster surrounding it was softened...
The carers, nurses, management and caretakers are just wonderful, it's just a brilliant place.
They treated her like royalty; as they do with all their residents.

My mother and father were both residents at Langley Lodge and were able to share a large sunny bedroom, which was ideal for them. The care here was excellent, the staff genuinely caring and warm. The qualified nursing staff are very experienced and the nursing care was outstanding, particularly at...
The home is very well managed, a social worker who came to assess my mother’s care commented on the high quality of record-keeping and monitoring, and we found the staff very responsive to any concerns raised, we never felt brushed off or ignored.
Very friendly care staff. Well maintained and a clean care home. Helped my mother through her final months very well.

My mum was a resident at Langley for the last 18months of her life. As a medical professional, I have been in and around many clinical care settings and I am very happy with the quality of care my mum received. It was a home, not a care facility and the staff looked after my mum and our family with a warm embrace.
She had complex medical needs and at times required skilled nursing care to look after her. This care was consistently tailored to her as an individual and always respectful to her preferences, especially at end of life. The staff were responsive to communication and always open to discussion and feedback. Maintaining dignity was very important to Mum and the staff always had time to make sure her hair was brushed and her earrings were different every day.
Our family is very grateful for the love, care and respect given to Mum at Langley in the last stage of her life.
Right up to her last days, she was treated with dignity and care. Any request that was made was considered and completed where possible, without hesitation where appropriate.
I would highly recommend this care...

My mother was in remission from renal failure and transferred from a hospice to Langley Lodge. The management were very open about the home, associated fees and we were shown available bedrooms, communal lounge/kitchen etc. Mum had a single room with a view to the sea. Staff were attentive to her needs and requirements and friendly towards the family. The nursing team understood her condition and requirements. Staff were very caring towards the family when mum passed away and overall Langley Lodge was a good choice of nursing home for mum's last weeks.

This lady friend was unmarried and has no family to support her when Parkinson's began to set in slowly. She was still active but eventually found she needed care and was recommended to Langly Lodge by her solicitor who had had a relative cared for there. There were several other homes in the area but the official care home survey gave Langly Lodge a high rating on all account. From our experience, this friend was treated with kindness and allowed to fo out with a member of staff to local clubs and her regular church attendance. The management protected her from visitors they felt were a possible problem and she was given a comfortable room to live in and was able to eat her meals on her own, which she preferred. In all respects, she was happy and spent her last years in a very friendly and caring environment. I would be happy to be a client.
Friendly caring staff. My Mum was happy there and felt secure. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Langley Lodge made the last 5 months of my Mum's life the best they could be.

Our Dad had a bad experience in a different care home and so we were very fussy as to where we placed him and we were recommended to Langley Lodge. As soon as we walked through the door we knew we wanted our Dad to live there. He had Parkinsons and Dementia and we can't recommend Langley Lodge enough for their care and attention in looking after Dad. On many visits, we found staff members just sitting, talking to him and making him smile. Such a personal care is given by all, including the management team. Such a happy vibe and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. We would highly recommend this care home to any family.
A very caring and friendly team who worked hard to offer individualised care. Worked with us as a family and allowed us to contribute to dad's care and in care planning. Some cleanliness and maintenance issues. Dad quickly relaxed and I am sure his last few months were happier and more comfortable...

We cannot thank the kind and caring staff of this care home enough for their professional, diligent and kind approach in supporting our Mum in the last two weeks of her life. I am secure in the knowledge that my mother is well looked after and cared for. There is a friendly atmosphere where we always feel welcomed and part of the family. It definitely is my mother's home, not just somewhere that she resides.

I found the staff excellent, caring and cheerful always. In hindsight, perhaps a care home would have been better than a nursing home as most patients were bed-bound. As I improved I would have liked more activities and social interaction. Staff were always cheerful and chatty however.
