Mum has been living in Bluebell Nursing & Residential Home since November 2022 and she has been very happy there. The most important part of any home is the staff and the staff here are friendly and they create a relaxed atmosphere. There seems to be a low staff turnover which is always a good sign! Everywhere is spotless. And also well maintained. It was a difficult emotional decision for Mum to move into a care home, especially as it's an hour and a half away from us but I know she's in good hands at Bluebell.

My mum was a resident at Bluebell Court for nearly 2 years and in that time the care she received was exceptional. The staff, including laundry, cleaners, kitchen and activity staff and office all went out of their wait to make my mum comfortable, cared for and loved. In my mum's final days, they not only took care of her but us as well. They really couldn't do enough for us all. Anyone who is worried about having to place a loved one in Bluebell Court please don't worry, it really is an amazing care home that our family will always be eternally grateful too.

Mum moved to Bluebell Nursing & Residential Home on 2nd May. Within four weeks, she has improved immensely, from being in a chair, slumped and asleep, she is now responsive. Her speech improved also, her awareness of things happening around her is very noticeable. She enjoys taking part in the group activities. She also joins in with conversations with other residents. She has a number of visitors and they all recognise her overall improvement.

Thank you so much to every member of staff. It is so good to see happy staff too.

Mum's been in this care home (Bluebell) since December 2022. At the end of life, these carers have pulled my mum around and given her new life. She loves the karaoke, bingo and singing; gives our mum something to live for. The sisters who do medication are excellent with her and the nurses so good. Always cleaning the rooms and hallways. Very friendly staff.

Wonderful care home - very happy with it. My loved one arrived in an agitated state, but with the patience and care of the staff, now she is calmer and more settled than I've seen her in a long time. The care and expertise of the team at Bluebell are exemplary, the staff are patient and kind and allowed her space to settle in her own time, and now she is talking to other residents, taking part in activities and much happier than I could have hoped.

Dementia care seems (from what I gather as a newcomer to all this) complex, varied and individual, Bluebell is an aesthetically pleasing, peaceful, friendly place, and I am very happy my loved one is a resident there.

Appalling! After visiting my aunt we felt so distraught at the conditions of this home, I would say lack of staff doesn't help as I'm sure they are doing the best they can. From start to finish it was dreadful. Floors are disgustingly sticky, the smell everywhere is absolutely horrendous, my nose felt violated. My aunt's room is bare and dirty, especially her bedclothes. My dog has stayed in better kennels. The other residents walking around aimlessly looking lost. As the bedroom doors are left open residents are just walking in and out of rooms and taking items which are not theirs. I asked my aunt about the food and she said it is shocking. As for the visitor's kitchen... no comment! Only place that looked presentable was the reception area.

Reply from Ella Munteanu, Registered Home Manager at Bluebell Nursing & Residential Home

I can’t thank enough the team at Bluebell for taking good care of my grandad when he stayed with them in March for respite care. Staff were very professional, caring and kind. My grandad is strong minded and not easy to deal with, the staff were however patient with him. They took the time to get to know him and were friendly and caring throughout his stay. Their activities co-ordinator even managed to get him to join in activities. Having not used care facilities before we were anxious, but didn’t need to as all the team at Bluebell were supportive especially the manager who reassure us that my grandad was in the right place. What an amazing job the management team and the staff at Bluebell are doing. I will definitely recommend Bluebell to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.

My dad was moved here to free up beds in the NHS. At first, I was dubious, but I needn't have been. It was the best my dad could have wished for. The staff, the setting/home is first class. The manager is absolutely the best person to ensure my dad had everything in place before he returned home. Care, smiles, chats, enthusiastic, warmth, bright, attention, clean, fresh smelling, time. If I had to go to a care home, I'd like it to be here!
