Mum's been in this care home (Bluebell) since December 2022. At the end of life, these carers have pulled my mum around and given her new life. She loves the karaoke, bingo and singing; gives our mum something to live for. The sisters who do medication are excellent with her and the nurses so good.

Wonderful care home - very happy with it. My loved one arrived in an agitated state, but with the patience and care of the staff, now she is calmer and more settled than I've seen her in a long time. The care and expertise of the team at Bluebell are exemplary, the staff are patient and kind and allowed
her space to settle in her own time, and now she is talking to other residents, taking part in activities and much happier than I could have hoped.
Dementia care seems (from what I gather as a newcomer to all this) complex, varied and individual, Bluebell is an aesthetically pleasing, peaceful, friendly place, and I am very happy my loved one is a resident there.

Appalling! After visiting my aunt we felt so distraught at the conditions of this home, I would say lack of staff doesn't help as I'm sure they are doing the best they can. From start to finish it was dreadful. Floors are disgustingly sticky, the smell everywhere is absolutely horrendous, my nose felt
violated. My aunt's room is bare and dirty, especially her bedclothes. My dog has stayed in better kennels. The other residents walking around aimlessly looking lost. As the bedroom doors are left open residents are just walking in and out of rooms and taking items which are not theirs. I asked my aunt about the food and she said it is shocking. As for the visitor's kitchen... no comment! Only place that looked presentable was the reception area.

I can’t thank enough the team at Bluebell for taking good care of my grandad when he stayed with them in March for respite care. Staff were very professional, caring and kind. My grandad is strong minded and not easy to deal with, the staff were however patient with him. They took the time to get to
know him and were friendly and caring throughout his stay. Their activities co-ordinator even managed to get him to join in activities. Having not used care facilities before we were anxious, but didn’t need to as all the team at Bluebell were supportive especially the manager who reassure us that my grandad was in the right place. What an amazing job the management team and the staff at Bluebell are doing. I will definitely recommend Bluebell to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.

My dad was moved here to free up beds in the NHS. At first, I was dubious, but I needn't have been. It was the best my dad could have wished for. The staff, the setting/home is first class. The manager is absolutely the best person to ensure my dad had everything in place before he returned home. Care,
smiles, chats, enthusiastic, warmth, bright, attention, clean, fresh smelling, time. If I had to go to a care home, I'd like it to be here!

Bluebell were brilliant. The staff were very caring of my mum, chatty and friendly all the time no matter what time of day and night. There was a kind attitude from every member of staff. They were also very helpful to us as a family trying to sort a care package, medication etc. Nothing was too much.
The head nurse was especially kind, patient and helpful. The home was very clean and pleasant to be in.

My only complaint is the staff and visitors' toilet is not very nice, but the downstairs one is very nice. Also love the fact the home is decorated for different occasions, valentines day, Christmas etc and I loved what was done on valentine's day, but maybe think about singers coming in, if possible.

I'm Ella, the General Manager of Bluebell Nursing and Residential Home. With a career in healthcare since 2003, beginning as a Registered Nurse, I am passionate about bringing my experience, skills, and dedication to support the residents and lead our team at Bluebell.


Working with DMP Healthcare and leading our caring, talented team here at Bluebell is incredibly rewarding. Our priority is to provide compassionate, individualised care for each resident, ensuring a high standard of service that truly meets their needs.


As both a nurse and a manager, I am committed to making choices that serve the best interests of those we care for, empowering our staff to deliver positive, person-centered outcomes.
My goal is to foster an environment where life at Bluebell feels as comfortable, happy, and homelike as possible, with our residents always at the heart of everything we do.


What I enjoy most is spending time with the residents, seeing their smiles, and watching my colleagues find fulfilment and joy in their work.
