Abbey House is set in beautiful grounds adjacent to Netley Abbey, against a backdrop of ancient woodland. The home is set within easy walking distance to Southampton Water and Netley Victoria Country Park. The period building and spacious grounds provide residents with the atmosphere and tranquillity of a country home.

Abbey House is a care home with nursing accommodation, offering a secure, relaxed and homely environment for both long and short stays. Care is provided to a standard of excellence which embraces the fundamental principles of good practice. Staff are responsive to individual needs and provide the appropriate degree of care to assure the highest possible quality of life within the home.

The home offers a range of accommodation options in en-suite, single, companion and garden view rooms, which are set over three floors and are accessible by three passenger lifts. The home also benefits from three lounges, an additional sun lounge and an elegant dining room.

All bedrooms are decorated to a high standard and have a nurse call point. Residents are encouraged to bring in their own furniture if they wish, as well as personal effects, to create a home-from-home.

Abbey House is registered with The Cinnamon Trust making it a pet-friendly home.

I have spent 5 weeks at Abbey House Netley. I have found staff friendly and reassuring and efficient. Food very good. In general, very good care for which I thank them.

When my mum needed to go into, the only place I felt comfortable with was Abbey House. I have known about the type of care they provide through my own line of work and this felt like the right decision.
All of the staff have made my mum feel very welcome and relaxed. This brings much comfort and peace
of mind to me and my family. We are always met with a smile and
a cheerful word or two.

First-class. No complaints. Staff and management excellent. The only problem was not with the care home but they were stuck in the middle of liaison between Adult Services (Council) Occupational Health, External Care Provider on returning home, and the Re-enablement Team. The food choice could be a
bit limited but was good quality and plentiful. Could get a hot drink/snack all hours of the day and night - better than most hotels!

After 3 weeks here I feel that I can write with a degree of care. The word 'outstanding' sums up my deliberations. Wonderful, sympathetic care from everybody. Such friendliness throughout. From the first day I was moved to Netley I have been treated very well. All of the staff are a happy crew and nothing is too much trouble. In person, I have thanked them all for the help I receive.

All of the staff and management are excellent and professional. Within two days of being admitted, I was able to begin walking after a serious back injury. I do not think I would have progressed as quickly had I remained in hospital. Well done to everyone at Abbey Care.
