The managers and office staff are all very friendly and approachable. The other staff and carers are all very friendly and helpful. The nurses on site are lovely, and always happy to answer any concerns. I am extremely happy with the standard of care provided.

I have found the staff helpful, cooperative and friendly. I appreciate the staff have done their best to provide suitable food and her privacy and dignity have been respected. They have also helped her to take tablets ad kept her room temperature stable, matters which would have proved difficult had I attempted to provide further care at home.

Dad has been here for a few weeks and we have been very pleased with the care provided. Dad's needs have become more evident and obviously, nursing care has been of paramount importance. This has been very evident with Dad.

Our family is so pleased with how quickly Mum has settled at Colbury House Nursing Home. The kindness from the staff extends to the family as well as to Mum - for which we are very grateful. The atmosphere here is a very happy one.

From the moment we arrived with Mum, the staff, from management, carers, chef, maintenance and cleaners, were kind, helpful and warm. This kind and considerate manner has not changed to the present day. Family have been welcomed, and great-grandchildren are happy and have actually enjoyed visits; that's an amazing recommendation for Colbury House. Thank you to everyone.

Well all I can say is that I have so much respect for everyone who works there. My mum went in back in February 2021 and she is truly happy there. They care for her so well that it takes so much worry off us as a family. Keep up the great work.

Colbury House have been very welcoming and accommodating to my father, he has received amazing care and before his illness deteriorated he was very happy, Dad is now very well cared for from the confines of his bed. The staff are all very friendly and it all feels like a tight community. I receive regular updates and am usually contacted straight away if there are any issues. The home is very clean and the food looks and smells amazing. I would happily be a resident here myself if I could.

My mother was admitted to Colbury House in 2019 due to dementia and physical disability. The team were welcoming and friendly. The home is spacious and in beautiful countryside with nice views from the garden.
All the staff are professional and help in every way with her care. She appreciates the help she is getting.
I was pleased when Mum was moved to a ground floor room with a door going out to the patio.

Pre-Covid she joined in with activities, which we both enjoyed. I now see her once a week and I am updated on her health and well-being. I would recommend Colbury House and say a very big thank you to all the hard-working staff.

I have nothing but praise and respect for the carers and staff that look after my father. They provide excellent care and support and always keep me updated. Their professionalism is second to none. They not only look after my father but provide him with their time and patience as he has two types of Alzheimer's, which is difficult. They are professional in the way they manage their communication, payments etc.

I could not say enough positive feedback about the staff. Thank you.

We have a distant relative who was admitted to Colbury House at very short notice after five weeks in the hospital over the Christmas period. The management, qualified nursing staff and house staff played a major part in healing him to settle in, despite his poor health and mental condition. Having lived all of his adult life on his own, now 90, he has naturally become very set in his ways and does not mix in with others readily. So his own suite of rooms suites him. Unfortunately, a chest infection necessitates his admittance to the hospital at the end of February. He seemed to be improving when he injected some fluid into his lungs and spent three nights in intensive care. Before returning to Colbury House a week later, this followed by Coronavirus and the extended period of lockdown life has been difficult, but Colbury staff are coping well.

I chose this care home for my aunt after viewing six and removing her from one where she was not flourishing. The Manager was welcoming and knowledgeable, with the caring ethic I wanted. The home is airy, light and has pleasant rooms, with lovely spacious view of open land and gardens. Those residents who were able were stimulated and content. My aunt, who needs constant help, was cared for with compassion and expertise.

After 6 years in the social care sector, I started my career as a registered nurse, graduating from Southampton University in 2012. As a nurse, I then became active within the local community before moving into leadership and management.

My approach thrives on empowering my team and creating a collaborative and supportive work environment, all the while being dedicated to the residents under my care ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care.

I’m passionate about creating a strong team culture, supporting staff to work to the level of their expertise and training and adapting to changing models of care. Making sure each nurse under my care is equipped to deliver a high level of service at all times.

I’m very family-orientated and enjoy spending time with the family, managing the children's hectic lives and enjoying days out. I’ve a particular interest in Theatre and gardening.

Manish Bhopale
Manish BhopaleJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2019

I started my career as a registered nurse in 1999 at Wanless hospital in a small city in India. I came to the UK in May 2003 and started to work within a care home organisation in Hertfordshire, I then moved to Southampton in 2010 with my wife and 2 children.

I have worked in different roles as a nurse (senior nurse, acting deputy, deputy manager, acting manager).

As a nurse, I have been passionate about caring for residents. I like to work with my team to promote and empower them. Nursing is my primary job role, but I also worked in other departments as needed to ensure the residents’ care is not affected.

I enjoy watching movies [comedy], and listening to Christian songs. I have a great sense of humour.
