I found the staff very warm and welcoming each time I visited a great contrast to the hospital where no-one seemed to know about the patient. My family were pleased with care given to my dying husband and I felt kindly supported throughout the two weeks he was in The Grange. We were given a 60th anniversary card and congratulations by the staff I met on that day, wonderful experience at a very difficult time - my thanks to all.

Excellent care and kindness demonstrated at all times and nothing is too much trouble. Staff seem to really cate about the patient's wellbeing, the food is very good and fresh and it provides peace of mind during such distressing times.

My wife was admitted at very short notice and late in the evening. Everything and everyone was very welcoming. That's how it stayed for approximately two months of her stay. All the staff are very grateful for the care given to her and us.

Friendly and helpful staff who offered my father the best possible care. They were very patient when he was difficult. He was in a much better place than in hospital. The family are most grateful.

Janet originates from Manchester, and her dream was to be a nurse. She left home at 18 years old and commenced her nursing training in Salisbury, Wiltshire, qualifying as a staff nurse in 1988. She continued her career working as a staff nurse on general medical wards in Salisbury before attaining a position in 1997 as Clinical Ward Manager/Ward Sister of a 32-bedded medical ward. Janet left the NHS and Salisbury in 2007 to focus on her young family moving to Andover Hampshire along with a move of career to working in social care.
Janet found the move to care homes very rewarding and continued her personal development with a keen interest in Dementia and end-of-life care until 2017, when, as a Deputy Manager, Janet came to The Grange. Janet took up the position of Manager that same year and has been at the helm for over 9 years.
Janet is a very independent individual who has dedicated her career to caring for others. She has two adult children, has a keen interest in genealogy and a passion for rugby union.
