My father entered the home from hospital. He was made to feel welcome straight away, although he took a while to settle. He always received excellent care for all his physical and mental health needs. He enjoyed the company of the other residents, so loved the afternoon activities, especially bar day. He became very fond of many of the staff. Their attention to detail was 100%. right up to his final day.

My mother required nursing care after a fall in hospital and a hip operation. Since becoming a resident she is less confused, she has gained a little weight and is happier. All staff call her by name and she tells me about them, indicating a good level of communication. Due to Covid restrictions, there are some aspects below I cannot comment on.

My husband was sent to the Grange for end-of-life care. He was there just under a week before he died. Because of isolation rules, I was only actually with him for 24 hours, before the end. During that time, the staff were marvellous with him. He was clean, comfortable, peaceful and cared for. The same care and consideration was extended to me. The communication with myself and my family and the staff, was excellent, all the time he was there. Thank you.

The care my husband received from all staff, during his stay at The Grange was always kind, considerate and friendly. The meals were of a high standard and cooked on the premises. Whilst the home decor is not ideal, the residents are comfortable and well looked after. My husband had advanced dementia, and his illness was treated with understanding and patience. I have no doubts about recommending the home.

The level of care my mother received during her final 16 months, at The Grange was outstanding. The staff work excellently as a team and the focus on care is the top priority. It has a very homely feel to it and for my mother, that was the most important attribute.

When Mum died it was 6 am. The nurse and kitchen staff stayed with her in her last few minutes. When I went to the home at 8 am, the staff all came to give their condolences. When I returned to clear her room many more members of The Grange stopped to speak to me with their memories of her and were helpful to me. The care of the staff (not just the nurses) gave Mum a peaceful and dignified end to her life. Mum was bored at times but overall enjoyed living in The Grange.

Throughout her stay, my wife has been looked after with the most loving kindness which cannot be faulted in any way. From the Chief Executive, the nursing staff and the administrative staff they have always maintained the very highest standards.

My wife passed away on Friday 14th December 2018. She was admitted to The Grange on 26th May 2017. I am of the opinion that she could not have had better constant care than that extended at The Grange. They are all exceptional.

The Grange did an excellent job in looking after both my mother and the immediate family in her final days.

The feel was very much of a home and the staff and management created a family feel where nothing was too much trouble to ensure that final days were as dignified and comfortable for all as possible.

The Grange and its staff gave my father impeccable care throughout his stay and ultimate departure. Dignity and respect are very present at The Grange.
Its ethos and atmosphere lend it to be a home in all senses of the word.

I shall be ever grateful to The Grange and would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful establishment.

My wife was in The Grange for three months prior to her recent demise. During her stay she was treated with the utmost respect, dignity and professional nursing skill. All the staff including administration, nursing, care, domestic and maintenance treated myself and my wife as I imagine they would their own loved ones.

If possible I would like you to convey my sincere thanks to them all.

My godmother was welcomed to The Grange nursing home in May 2014 at the end of a stay in hospital and aged 99 my godmother was blind, deaf and immobile and confused at the time of her admission aged 99.

The welcome and care provided by all the staff enabled her to completely recover her memory and despite her physical limitations, she enjoyed learning about the staff, their names and families.

The constant loving care provided for her was a joy to see. I was a frequent visitor and always unannounced. My godmother died this month aged 102 years old.

My mother was a resident at the Grange for 18 months. During that time, Mum was always treated with great respect and dignity. There was a lovely community feel within the day room and Dad also became part of the community. The home and Mum was always spotlessly clean. In mums final weeks the care could not be faulted and the feelings of Mum and the family were always considered. I would certainly recommend this home.
