My father has settled well here, and his only reservations seem to be about losing his independence, which he does remember, as his reasons for moving into The Grange were quite sudden, rather that a slow decline. I am very pleased that as soon as he gets up from his chair, someone is there to say 'where do you want to go' etc, but of course he is just annoyed! He describes the food as delicious and he has made good relationships with staff and other residents. I think that the care he receives is exemplary.

My husband's parents are both residents and they have been there just over a year. They are thriving!! They have put on a nice lot of weight, they are interacting with other residents and taking part in activities. They are so much happier. I can't remember the last time I visited them in their room as they are always in the lounge. The communication is good. If one falls over or isn't well the staff let us know. I love that there are so many activities to keep them busy and give their lives purpose again. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble, they are so lovely with us and the residents. We are very happy that we made the choice to come to The Grange.

At one time I had my 94 year old aunt and her disabled daughter living at The Grange. They each had their own rooms. I found and still do the care taken to my family to be of the highest. My aunt eventually passed and great care given by the owners and staff. My cousin is so very happy living at The Grange. It is a pleasure to visit. She ahs made friends and carers and medical staff so kind.

Nurses and Carers are friendly, happy, and seem to genuinely care about the well being of the residents, who they treat with dignity and respect.
Entertainment team are fun and organise some nice activities, more trips out would be good, and more one to one games with residents if there's the opportunity would be good.
Food is excellent quality and a good choice of alternatives are available.

Maintenance crew and all office based staff are very helpful.

This is a privately owned home and it shows, it exhibits how a care home should be - A wider family of residents, relatives, and staff. It is welcoming, staff are responsive and . . . its very clean.

What I particularly like is that it is not part of a huge conglomerate, with mysterious Hedge fund managers behind the scenes. There is no style over substance, the staff are the substance! All departments, covering admin, management, care, nursing, facilities, activities, chefs and kitchen, are fabulous and will always try to help when they can. As with everything, one would wish for more staff, but - there are plenty around when you need them.

So many staff have worked here for years; to me, this is a testament to the core values of The Grange in terms of overall care and support for staff development and well being. This is crucial to the care ethos, where staff feel valued and this cascades into their roles within the Grange, especially with care for vulnerable residents.

Thank you so much to everyone at The Grange who looked after our Mother for the last three months of her life. The care was exemplary, everyone was very kind and caring. The food was delicious, the laundry took great care of all clothing, the recreational team had a wide range of activities to meet all needs, reception and admin staff always gave a warm welcome caring for relatives as well as the resident. The nursing and care staff were always available and took time to explain everything. Everything was clean, tidy and working thanks to maintenance and housekeeping. Visiting was welcome any time, day or night.

As a family we would thoroughly recommend The Grange and thankyou again x

During a ten-week stay in The Grange, my wife received, from all staff, an exemplary standard of care. In the course of a terminal illness pain relief was provided rapidly when required and painful procedures carried out with obvious expertise and kindness. No effort was spared to ensure that she was as comfortable as possible. My family and I were fully informed and consulted - and always offered tea/coffee during visits. We are grateful for the care she received from the wonderful staff.

When I moved in I did not like it but day by day and a few months later I cannot fault it. Staff all great, nurses also good, food good, kitchen staff good. You could not put a better team together, they are all excellent. No matter what is asked they are all willing and able to help even desk staff, kitchen and front of house. Everyone is so helpful.

Mum was admitted to The Grange in February 2024. Having promised that we would keep her in her own home for as long as it was safe to do so (it no longer was), the decision for her to enter residential care was very hard, despite being based on the recommendation of clinical and social care professionals. Since my first visit to look around, I have consistently felt that The Grange is a lovely place and have been so glad we managed to get Mum in here. The staff are always helpful, friendly and cheerful. They treat the residents kindly, patiently and with dignity and respect their wishes where possible. They also keep the family informed as needed. Although not without initial difficulties, Mum settled more quickly than we expected and now generally seems content. Whilst residential care is not something we wished for Mum, we are satisfied that she is now very well cared for in a lovely environment, where we can spend quality time with her whenever we choose.

This is a wonderful nursing home. It is kept spotlessly clean and the care that my sister gets is perfect.
The carers are really good and nothing is too much trouble.
The food is lovely and my sister is in a lovely place.
My sister has been here nearly 2 years and is very happy.

They all work very hard to make it the best and in my opinion deserves an award.

My father moved to The Grange in October 2022. Since that time he was well cared for, enjoyed the activities, loved the food (especially the mince pies at Xmas) and enjoyed the friendly and homely environment that all the staff provided. I always felt my dad was well cared for and nursed and took a weight off my shoulders from the moment he entered The Grange. I cannot praise highly enough the staff that work there. He enjoyed the numerous activities that the home put on and I was able to enjoy them with him. In February 2024, my father sadly entered the palliative care stage. Again, I cannot praise highly enough the care and compassion, not only shown to my dad, but to me as well. The staff have been truly amazing. If you are in the situation where you need to find a placement in a nursing home, then I can, without hesitation, highly recommend The Grange. Can I just say a heartfelt thank you to all the staff involved in my dad’s care.

Having had both my mum and brother spend two years at The Grange Nursing Home a few years ago and now my auntie (all with extremely high complex medical needs). I just wanted to reiterate how incredible every member of staff is at The Grange. They go above and beyond, ensuring that nothing is too much! They are such a great team.
We all take great comfort in knowing that our very special auntie is comfortable, settled and cared for in the highest way possible, as we all know, life can be so daunting and uncertain!

Words aren’t enough to say how grateful everyone is! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Our mum was admitted to The Grange at the end of December 2023, suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. She has complex medical and care needs which change on a weekly, if not daily basis. The transition from one nursing facility to another was made seamless. From then on in, the staff have been outstanding. From managerial to office, carers to nurses, cleaners to caterers, without exception, have been kind, empathetic and totally professional. Cleaniliness, compassion and friendliness are at the fore for all residents. We highly recommend The Grange for your loved one, feeling reassured that they will be in good hands.
