My Mum was admitted from hospital to the care home for end of life care. We were given a guided tour before she was admitted and myself and sister were very impressed with the whole set up, we also noted the amount off staff that were present. When mum was admitted it was a very difficult time for us
as we were not sure on how to help mum or what the best care was for her, when making decisions on the ones you love it is very worrying that you get them right and you have to rely on the ones that you put the care in. I can honestly say we made the best decision of our lives putting the care of our mum in the hands of all the staff at The Grange, they were caring not only to her but also looked after myself, my sister and family members who visited mum, they went out of their way to make sure we felt at home and nothing was to much trouble. I never write or comment on review sites but because of my experience I have to say a great thank you to The Grange and its staff they were wonderful.

Whilst sadly my fathers stay at the Grange was only for a few weeks the care and compassion shown to dad by all of the staff was evident every time I visited whatever time of the day (or night). A difficult time was made easier to bear knowing dad was in such safe caring hands and he was happy. Nothing
was ever too much trouble for the staff and I would thoroughly recommend the home.

My mother moved into The Grange in November 2015, for palliative end of life care.


The rooms are well designed, bright and clean, and the staff are friendly, kind and supportive. The communal areas are lovely, although sadly Mum was bedridden and preferred not to be moved around in a wheelchair,

so she did not use the communal rooms.


Mum felt comfortable and secure in her room and the staff took care that her personal hygiene needs were met and she didn't develop bed sores. Mum passed away in her sleep on 16 January 2016 and the nurse who broke the news to me was as caring and kind as anyone could be. The staff were very supportive and sympathetic to me, both during Mum's stay, and after her death, when they took time to discuss various medical issues with me and to help me come to terms with her passing.


I am grateful that everyone at The Grange took good care of Mum during her final weeks.
