It's now been 18 months since my husband came to homefield house, I can't thank the whole team enough, from carers to management for the care and attention he receive on a daily basis, I visit daily and see not only the care my husband receives but also of the other residents as well. All nurses and staff are kind and caring and seem to have a real relationship to my Mum. It's a welcoming place that's always bright and tidy. My Mum seems happy and content there and the staff seem really understanding of her conditions (dementia, etc)

My friend was moved to Homefield House in December 2025 and has blossomed from the love and care she has received since moving in. She had previously lived at Homefield house and we wanted her back there as we knew how wonderful the team are and it's like she's gone home. In the 3 years since she was there, pretty much all the staff are the same - which says something! The home is calm, warm, bright and welcoming. It has a relaxing atmosphere and I really can not praise the people who work there enough. They genuinely care and look after everybody with dignity and compassion and are led by residents needs, with big smiles on their faves. Homefield house is - in my opinion - a 5star home, led by a 5star manager and her team. We are so lucky that we managed to get our friend back here, to be looked after so well. The units are cosy and feel homely, the atrium provides light and space and the bedrooms are a great size. Absolutely fabulous care home.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback about Homefield House.
We are delighted to hear your friend has settled back in so well and that it truly feels like home. Your kind words about our manager and team mean a great deal, and we will be sure to share them.
It is a privilege to care for your friend. Thank you again for taking the time to write such a lovely review.
Care given was first class by both nurses and carers and the understanding, assistance and care given by the manager, deputy manager and administration staff also first class.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that you found the care from our nurses, carers, and management team to be first class. Your feedback means a great deal to all of us.
This was a very big step for us, taking Dad to a home, but we feel very lucky to have found this one.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're so pleased to hear your dad is settling in well and that you've felt reassured by the care and atmosphere. It means a lot to know the home feels peaceful and welcoming to you and your family.
The care he was given by staff at Homefield staff during his last days was second to none and he was able to move on with dignity.
My Mum continues to be well cared for and the staff are always welcoming when I go to visit her.
I could not ask for any more than has been provided for both my parents.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words during what must be such a difficult time. We're so glad that we could provide your dad with the care and dignity he deserved in his final days, and it's heartwarming to hear that your mum continues to receive the care and attention she needs.
My wife continues to receive excellent care, attention and is very happy. Staff really engage with her. Many thanks to you all.
Thank you for your kind words. We're so pleased to hear your wife is happy and receiving excellent care. It means a great deal to the team to know their efforts are appreciated.
The house is outstanding, the staff are absolutely fantastic, would not want my Dad anywhere else. The care he receives is next to nothing. The care they show him is fantastic. It's clean, smells amazing and I am over the moon he is safe and well cared for.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to leave us a 5-star review! We are truly grateful for your feedback and delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience with our care home. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care, and knowing that...
A member of staff took me to her room I was so amazed at how relaxed mum looked (and comfortable). Sat next to her was beautiful staff member helping her with her tea.
It was so wonderful to see how content and happy she looked. She glanced over to the members of staff as if they were familiar loving faces and she even spoke! One member of staff politely returned the banter to her which would have been just an everyday occurrence to the staff member but meant a lot to me it was special.
In fact, she was so 'at home and happy there' I had almost forgotten she'd only just arrived about 3 hours earlier! To record the moment and take back to my father made him happy to see as well. Conclusion is that everyone is very happy. Thank you all so much.
This is so wonderful to hear, thank you! We're delighted that your mum is happy here with us at Homefield House.
The past few months have been totally positive. My husband settled in quickly and is very relaxed with his new carers and nurses. When I or family members visit, we are treated with a smile and made to feel welcome. We are kept updated on my husband's health and are invited to join them for some activities.
Thank you so much for leaving us this review, it is great to hear that your husband has settled in so quickly.
The greatest testimony of all is how long some of the staff have worked at Homefield. You wouldn't stay for all those years if this was not a great experience for residents and staff. Thank you all for everything you do.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, our wonderful team will be so touched to read this.
Quite happy here. Staff are all very pleasant. I enjoy the food. I enjoy taking part in the activities offered.
This is great to hear, thank you for leaving us such a lovely review.
My mum cannot do any of the activities as she is bedridden and, unfortunately, sleeps a lot of the time.
There is a mat by her bed which if stood on will set an alarm off.
Thank you for leaving us such kind words. Your review will be passed on to the rest of the wonderful team.
My mother has settled well into Homefield House. The staff are brilliant and are very caring towards all in the home. The kitchen produces really good food for all. All staff know the residents and chat as they pass through the home. My brother and I are more than happy with Mum's care and we are always kept informed of Mum's care. A warm and comfortable place for all.
Thank you so much for this lovely review. Your kind words will be passed on to the rest of the team.
Homefield House has recently been refurbished to a very good standard with much consideration to the residents. They have done a great job in updating the facilities including redecoration and alarm system amongst many other things.
There are regular activities and fun events for those who wish to join in at the home including parties, pantomime, regular small activities during the week with a trained member of staff and animal visits. They recently went on a boat trip, enjoying fish and chips on the way home. Mum loved it.
My mum is settled and I am content to know that she is in very safe hands. Thank you all.
Thank you for leaving us this lovely review. Our team strive to achieve the best quality of care for all of our residents. We are so pleased to hear that your mother is enjoying our activities, day trips, animal visits and so much more. Your kind words will be passed on to the rest of the wonderful team.
The layout of the home is neither too big nor too small, with a walkway through the middle which many a resident enjoys. There are shows, owl visits, parties and other activities providing fun for those who want to join in. Or they can sit quietly listening to the radio.
The management team are always there to reassure, provide advice and answer questions for which I am really thankful. Thank you everyone for making my dad feel cared for and content in his last years.
This is such a lovely review to read. The whole team feel privileged to be able to provide a safe, loving home for your dad. Your kind words will be passed on.
My experience of my care home is excellent. I am well cared for by all carers, nurses and management.
Thank you for leaving us this lovely review, we really appreciate it.
This is my mother's first experience in a care home. She is currently being assessed for mild dementia and severe mobility issues and is in rehab care. She is very complimentary about the staff and the care she receives and is enjoying the food. She joins in with arranged activities and visitors and pets are warmly received by the team at the home. Children are also welcome. The home itself has recently been refurbished and the fact that it is quite small adds positively to the overall experience. Mum's overall health has visibly improved during her short stay here. I would recommend this care home to anyone with a family member suffering from dementia issues.
Thank you for leaving us this lovely review. Our wonderful team strive to achieve the best quality of care possible for all our residents and its so nice to hear that you and your mother are experiencing this first hand. Your kind words will be past onto the rest of the team,

I have join Shaw healthcare in 2015 as an overseas nurse. I have been given the opportunity to grow and developed my skills. I become Deputy Manager in 2020 and then one year later I became the Home Manager.
Homefield House Nursing Home provides a homely and friendly environment. We all work together in the best interest of the residents.

I joined homefield house as Deputy Manager in March 2023.
I started my career when I left school 29 years ago, after spending much time in and out of hospital with my father.
My first job was as an Housekeeping Assistant for the mount hospital and from there, I realised I have a passion to look after people and making a real difference to peoples’ lives.
My career opened up new opportunities to develop my skills, working towards a higher level in management.
I have been in a management role since 2017, working in various health care settings. I am continuing to develop my skills and I am always looking for ways to challenge myself.
