Mum moved into Tudor Lodge in March 2025 and despite her dementia and health issues she is flourishing there. The food is yummy and home cooked every day, the care and nursing staff are kind, cheerful and respectful. Mum's condition, communication and general demeanor have all improved significantly
in her time so far at Tudor Lodge. The management team have all worked hard to ensure that moving Mum in and getting her settled into the right room for her has gone as smoothly as possible. I can't recommend them enough!!

We moved my Aunt-in-law to Tudor lodge following a terminal diagnosis. She settled in for the last few week of her life for palliative care and we were so grateful for the care, consideration, and attention shown by all the staff to help her in her last few days.


The team allowed her to pass with

dignity and were able to keep her comfortable and communicated with us very well through the entire process. They were supportive of both the resident and her relatives needs and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others in a similar situation.


We cannot comment on the activities or the food quality as the resident was bedbound and was not in a position to use or enjoy these facilities so I have not rated them or have rated it in the middle for the purposes of this review.

During my mothers 3 year stay at Tudor Lodge Nursing Home she received first class domestic, personal and medical care. The senior management team provide superb leadership across all of the departments, proven by the high morale across department collaborations, high professional standards and excellent
communications. Individually the staff were always cheerful, positive and viewed the residents as their first priority. During her final weeks my mother received faultless compassionate care in comfort and safety.

Today I travelled from South Wales to visit my aunt. As always I was warmly greeted by the receptionist and all the carers and nurse. I stayed for dinner, smoked haddock and apricot and custard - the food was excellent (especially the haddock).

Selecting a home for Mum was hard and emotional but the minute I stepped into Tudor Lodge I knew this was the place. Everyone I passed on the tour had a smile on their face and said hello and the home itself was bright, clean and smelt fresh. Mum's care was second to none, all of the staff were excellent
from the carers who even took time to put on Mum's makeup, to the nurses who watched over her vigilantly, the fabulous selection of food, the cleaners keeping the place spotless, the manager/reception who did all they could to assist. Thank you for all you did for my mum.

My mom was in a care home but needed to be moved to a nursing home. I was a little concerned but Tudor Lodge is excellent. Staff are all lovely. Activities of some sort every afternoon. My mum is partial to a glass of wine which she does get most days. Visiting is flexible. My mum does get lonely but
that is to be expected. I have no complaints or concerns.

My relative became a resident at Tudor Lodge on discharge from hospital. She had previously been in a facility which didn't offer nursing care. The staff at Tudor Lodge looked after her with extreme care and concern involving other health agencies as required. As her condition deteriorated towards the
end of life care, I was impressed with the way staff dealt with the physical and mental effects. They are always friendly, and happy to help in addition to providing varied activities to entertain residents.

Generally, the home has provided a lovely environment for my mum, who is still very aware and most days very mentally competent. My experience of seeing (staff) interactions with Mum is reassuring. Most are attentive and genuinely appear to love Mum, some demonstrate this by physical touch/hugs. There
are some low-level concerns about the quality of some meals and that they often arrive cold (if a hot meal). The monthly fees are very high, which has intrigued me, especially as there's an additional weekly fee for 'nursing care' but after researching 'home' options, this was the only home that was acceptable as a replacement for Mum's own home/life.

The nursing home was one of three recommendations provided by Hampshire Continuing Care, and this selection is based upon our engagement with the local Palliative nursing team. We are so utterly grateful that we have been able to take up these recommendations for my mother. I can only describe it as
a 5-star hotel for nursing. The facilities were nothing short of fantastic, although my poor mother was not able to experience them. The care provided to her and my family was exceptional. I sincerely do not believe there is anything else that I can add.

My sister spent the final 5 weeks of her life here on end-of-life care. The care she received was kind and considerate at all times. Nurse in charge was always ready to answer questions. All staff were understanding and helpful. As my sister passed away care, consideration and respect were shown at
all times.
It was always nice to be welcomed by a cheerful receptionist. My thanks to everyone. Printed, correct information regarding what to do after death would be useful.

Extremely pleased with all aspects of care provided. All the staff are professional, kind and helpful. Tudor Lodge is kept very well maintained. The rooms feel homely and are always clean and tidy. I am happy to know that Mum is living somewhere she is extremely well taken care of with dignity and kindness.

Tudor Lodge Nursing Home is an excellent example of what a care home should be. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant, all staff are polite and friendly, and all enquiries and requests are dealt with promptly - I have observed staff treating my mother with great kindness and respect. She is very happy
with all aspects of her care and feels safe and comfortable. It's always difficult when a loved one needs to leave their own home to go into a care home, but Tudor Lodge is a great place to live and visit.

After visiting several nursing homes in the area hoping to find a home for my dad. I visited Tudor Lodge and I couldn’t believe how different the home was to the others, I was greeted by a very friendly member of staff who informed me that they had a room available and I was given a tour and shown the
room which is perfect for Dad. This home is without doubt the cleanest and most comfortable home and he’s so happy and well looked after. All of the staff are without exception the most professional friendly and helpful you could ever meet. Since Dad has been there he has thrived. There are daily activities every day if they so wish then there’s the choice of meals from a full cooked breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks, tea and coffee or a hot chocolate. He literally wants for nothing as I say telling friends and family about Tudor Lodge. It’s a cross between a 5-star hotel and a private hospital. If you’re looking for a nursing home for your loved ones I can highly recommend Tudor Lodge.

During the time my elderly relative has been in the care home she has been treated with respect and dignity. When she arrived she was able to get around with help from the staff but she is now bedridden and finds it hard to cope with the simplest of tasks. To this end the staff have been very positive
and friendly and help to wash, feed and care for her totally. I cannot praise the staff enough, the office and admin, the chefs, the cleaners, the carers and the nursing staff are all doing a wonderful job as my relative is very near end of life. I can’t thank them enough for their professionalism and dedication to looking after our elderly relatives.

I would just to say that we as a family have been extremely pleased with the efforts of all the staff at the home in the past 12 months. Our mum has particular needs, including mobility, but the staff have always been outstanding in their support of her needs and have been there for her, whenever required.
They are highly professional in their support for her and always friendly and understanding in her times of angst. Thank you we really do appreciate all you do for mum.

Tudor Lodge is an excellent nursing home. Since moving there my mother has been very happy. The excellent activities have encouraged her to socialise and join in with others. She looks forward to the activities programme which also provides structure to her week as well as a sense of belonging.

When Mom transferred to the home from hospital at the beginning of the year she was very unwell. Whilst she continues to have difficult underlying conditions, she has made considerable progress during her time at the home. Still unwell but much more contented and knows she’s in a safe, supportive home.
The care has been excellent! The staff are very caring, supportive, skilled and a delight to be with! This applies to the whole team: the reception team are always helpful and welcoming, the carers always seem to go the extra mile and the nursing staff are professional, supportive and caring. The management team make themselves available and are supportive. Personally, apart from Mom, it’s been a challenging time for us, as a family and the support from the home has been so reassuring. Would definitely recommend it.

Tudor Lodge has provided me and my family the confidence that my mum is receiving the best care possible, in a professional but loving and caring environment. Their compassion is not focused just on my mother, but all of us, they show great compassion and empathy towards us on each visit to Tudor Lodge.
The team demonstrate themselves to be efficient, proactive and current in the way they manage my mother's needs. They have cared for my mother for eighteen months and I have been impressed with all interactions I have had with all members of the team. They manage to retain their staff, which enables great continuity of care and they have built relationships with her as an individual. These things demonstrate the ethos of the home and the good leadership from those that manage the home, which is disseminated through all the staff, creating a lovely atmosphere. Saying thank you to Tudor Lodge does not feel sufficient, but thank you for all you do.

My husband came into Tudor Lodge six weeks ago because caring for him was really hard. He has advanced dementia and colitis. He has settled in really well and he loves talking to the wonderful carers. It's a wonderful nursing home with fantastic staff.
