I have nothing but praise for the care and support delivered to my mum at Fair Havens.
Management is excellent as are the care staff.
Mum is treated as an individual and is genuinely cared for by all the staff. The atmosphere in the home is one of warmth and kindness. Excellent response to COVID
management also.

Everyone at the home is friendly and helpful. They know the family members by name making us feel welcome. The Covid restrictions must have made life difficult for staff and residents but the staff have made a great effort at keeping us informed and residents entertained and most of all safe.

We were so lucky to find Fair Havens at a difficult time when my mother needed residential care at short notice. The staff provide excellent care, always professional but extremely friendly and welcoming. It's a testament to them that my mother has settled so well.

Over the two years my relative has been there, I have always been impressed by the way all the staff treat the residents. The compassionate care and level of commitment cannot be faulted. I have been kept informed of any changes and updates on my relative's condition on a regular basis.

There is an atmosphere of care and support. The staff demonstrate an interest in the well being of the residents. There seems to be (mother tells me) a range of activities to suit different levels of ability and sometimes the staff have relaxed fun with the residents.

Fair Havens Southampton is everything one wants for a loved one who has to be in care. Very professional, caring, compassionate, sensitive and empathetic staff. A great management team, efficient, effective caring, organised and communicative. It is a blessing to have found such a marvellous care home
for Mum, it does remove my angst and guilt at not being able to care for her myself.

Fair Havens Christian Home is an excellent care home with an emphasis on care. I am very happy with the care and support shown to my elderly Mum. The manager and her team should be commended. Nothing is too much trouble. The way they celebrated Mum's 100th birthday was lovely, with bunting and banners
to make her special day and arranging for us to be able to visit (socially distanced) too. We are always made to feel welcome when we arrive for our socially distanced meetings with our loved ones. Well done.

My Mum has been a resident for the past 16 months. We as a family have been very impressed by the kindness shown to my Mum and quality of care. It has not been an easy transition due to initial health issues but since coming to the Care Home her health and wellbeing has greatly improved. The activities
include a spiritual aspect which has been so helpful for her, as well as injecting some fun and laughter into the day. The staff always interact with a smile and kind heart and 'you are welcome' attitude. The home is well run and always very clean and fresh in all areas. We as a family are able to relax knowing Mum is looked after and we are always made to feel very welcome on our visits.

We were very happy with the way in which our mum was cared for during the 18 months or so she lived in Fair Havens. The staff were always helpful, supportive, aware of needs and open to conversations about her care. Mum knew she was being looked after well when she could no longer do so herself and
we all felt comfortable with her being there. Visitors were always made to feel welcome and we could see the consistent professional service provided during the day. Beyond that, we felt that staff genuinely cared for the residents, in a personal way. Thank you from all the family.

I knew she would be well cared for when I met the manager who was very down to earth. The well-led, knowledgeable staff have gone out of their way to help my aunt settle into a lovely calm environment which we feel is reflected in her and she is looking forward to Christmas festivities for the first
time in many years.
Prior to moving in, my aunt was fiercely independent and had recently started to lose her sight and hearing. This has been managed so well, it has not been an issue.

I have found the staff, from management, care staff and housekeepers to be friendly, professional and helpful and have been caring for my Mother very well for the past year. Lately, there does seem to be quite a turnover of staff though unfortunately. The home itself is clean and fresh smelling and
has very much a homely feel. Mum's room is bright and comfortable and looks out on a patio area where she can have some potted plants with the garden beyond which Mum loves to look at from her window and sit outside when it is warm enough.

I would like to note that my experience visiting people at Fair Havens on a weekly basis is fantastic! From the general manager to the carers/cleaners, the atmosphere and care towards the residents is evident.
It's so refreshing to see the staff going above and beyond their job, taking time to talk
and engage with the residents.
Care homes can many times get a bad rap, so I'm more than happy to share my thoughts about Fair Havens.

Tracey Halley

Started working with Keychange as Head of Care in 2014, she became a Registered Manager in 2016 and since then she is leading the team of Fair Havens.

Helen O'Halloran

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2013

I started working at Fair Havens as the main cook in 2013, before becoming kitchen manager. I was then approached to become the deputy manager which I started in 2017! I have various qualifications including GCSEs, NAMCW in Child Care, an NVQ in Food Preparation and Cooking and an NVQ Level 3 in Adult Social Care.


I am able to work in any section of the home, and really enjoy spending time with our residents. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, and my husband and going out to dinner, having family holidays and reading.
