My mother was a resident of Hampton Lodge for one week. I cannot fault the care she was given. The staff were professional, friendly and very kind to my mother. I was kept up to date on what was going on going treatment, and I was allowed to visit her daily. The chaplain at Hampton Lodge was also very helpful and informative, and gave myself and my mother support. I would recommend Hampton Lodge to friends and family looking for a first class nursing home.

Our sister Katherine moved to Hampton Lodge in August 2025, and we cannot express how grateful we are as siblings for the care she received while she lived there. The last four months of her life were defined by dignity, compassion, and kindness from all the members of the Hampton Lodge community. Despite her short stay there (due to her passing away in December 2025 through expected natural causes) as siblings we all feel she was welcomed, loved, and cared for in the best possible way. We will always remember the kindness of the Hampton Lodge staff and I can only recommend their services highly.

My sister lived the last 4 months of her life in Hampton Lodge. She received outstanding care. The nurses and carers didn't just attend to her needs; they gave her holistic, professionalised care and developed true relationships with her. Even the cooks and the maintenance staff paid special attention to her, e.g., cooking her favourite food and taking the initiative to put pictures up on her walls to make her room more homely. She lived the best life and died the best death that she possibly could have. The manager and staff also cared very much for our family. I would recommend Hampton Lodge extremely highly.

My sister Katherine lived the last four months of her life in MHA Southampton. The care was outstanding. The dedication of the team was wonderful to see; as a team and as individuals the carers and nurses went above and beyond to make Katherine feel at home. I would heartily recommend this home to prospective clients.

Our mother has been a resident in Hampton Lodge for 4 1/2 years. Throughout this time, she has been well cared for. Initially resident in the dementia living where she engaged in activities with staff and other residents, the home has an active music programme which triggers memories.

With increasing age/frailty, Mum has moved to the nursing wing. Her needs are met, and we have no concern over her care or well-being.

Excellent provisions and care. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, from nurses to health care assistants, admin and everyone involved, not forgetting the manager who had a good understanding and knowledge of family needs included. Mum has had excellent care here; The staff are kind and thoughtful and worked really hard to make sure she had everything she needed, even to the point of getting her to hospital visits when it was really hard. They took the time to get to know Mum personally, and she was happy, safe and comfortable. Thank you so much.

On a glorious Wednesday, my husband and I were part of a little adventure. My husband is a resident at Hampton Lodge and the wonderful staff took us on a river cruise on the charity-funded catamaran. In my husband's words, it was wonderful. The lush peaceful walks and gardens along the river, it was a joy. Thank you to the staff.

My father has been at Hampton Lodge since March 2024. I cannot fault the nursing care and kindness of all the staff. They are a really happy, friendly bunch! Nothing is too much trouble and the staff always make time to chat and support our family. We can visit at any time, day or night.
Staff are well trained and very respectful. Hampton Lodge is well led by an experienced team and many staff have worked there for at least five years.
There is an air of calm, it is very clean. The kitchen staff try hard to accommodate any personal food requests. My father's room is light and bright with a pleasant view. The gardens are well-maintained and attractive. They are regular activities for the residents, art, singing and armchair exercises. Hair dressed and chiropodist make regular visits. There is a chaplain available and church services.
I could never imagine my father being in a nursing home, however, he settled quickly.
I feel that we have built a really good relationship with the staff and that they know Dad really well too!

Well done to everyone at Hampton Lodge. We really appreciate everything you do!

I have been visiting my friend of many years, I have found her very well cared for. The staff at the care home are caring and treat the residents with friendliness and dignity. Her room is spacious and clean and she has personal items i.e. family photos displayed. There is an air of calm in the home and the public rooms have games, puzzles and a TV. Entertainment is provided during the week which encourages conversation. Although my friend would prefer to be in her own home she has accepted she needs care and often says 'I am cared for with kindness so have no complaints whatsoever'.

My father was admitted for end-of-life care and was only in a week but the care, support, compassion and kindness shown to us and to my father was wonderful. Everyone went that extra mile and always had time for my dad and us whatever he needed. At the end of the final hours it was very quick but everyone involved acted quickly, promptly, and the pain relief and other medication was given to make my dad comfortable. The staff constantly checked on my dad and gave wonderful end-of-life care. One of the most touching things was they laid a butterfly blanket on the bed, it was so lovely. Having this wonderful care made such a difficult situation much easier to bear and as a family we are totally grateful and it has given us so much comfort at a very difficult time. Thank you to all the lovely staff, truly dedicated, professional and extremely kind.

Modern, well-equipped home set in lovely grounds. A good number of staff who are well trained, caring, and respond to individual residents' wishes. All care can happen at the home with no need to go to hospital. We have been impressed by the care given to our parents. It was tailored to their needs. The links with the GP surgery were excellent so we knew there was always medical care when needed.

Loads of activities too and an onsite chaplain. I would happily be a resident myself at Hampton Lodge.
