Mum has resided at St George's for nearly 2 years, initially for respite and then permanently. The manager and staff put our family's mind at rest when we had to make the really tough decision for her to stay. She receives great care from the really friendly and kind staff, we can't thank them enough.

Dad been in the home for about 2 years. He is always clean and shaven even though he bedridden. The home is an old house so place looks a bit tired but the care is caring and respectful. It don't matter what time I go in the staff are always cheerful and nothing to much trouble and feels like a partnership between them and me. I recommend this home for your loved ones as I have been most satisfied.

St Georges nursing home can not be rated highly enough. My wife is receiving the best possible care, the rooms are pleasant and spotlessly clean, the food is excellent' the staff the manager, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners in fact everyone involved are friendly, respectful, caring and very helpful. The home has a homely feel to it After hearing countless horror stories I can honestly say that I am so thankful that my wife found a place in St Georges. i really appreciate the extra effort that all the staff give.

My mum has resided in St George's for 5 months now. I was very dubious at first as I had read some not so good reviews BUT both me and my family are very happy with the care here. They take my mums wants and needs seriously and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are amazing and very friendly also. My mum is happy here x

I cannot thank the team at St George's enough for the incredible care and compassion they have shown my father during his time with them. Knowing that he is safe, well looked after, and treated with genuine dignity has brought so much peace of mind to our family.
The staff are not only professional, but truly kind. They take the time to get to know each resident and treat them as individuals, not just as patients. I've witnessed many quiet acts of kindness, warmth, and dedication that reflect a standard of care that goes far beyond what's expected.
The home is always clean, welcoming, and well-managed, and communication with the family has been excellent. Any concerns we've had have been listened to and addressed with care and respect.

It's never easy placing a loved one in care, but I can say with confidence that we made the right choice. Thank you all for everything you do, it means more than words can express.

I cannot speak highly enough of all staff at St George's from the manager, admin team, carers, nurses even the kitchen staff and cleaners. All so helpful caring and always wanting to go that bit further for you all the time.
My dad was loved and cared wonderfully by each and every member of staff.
They make the best pot of tea :-)!

I can highly recommend St George's on anyone who sadly needs respite or to place a relative in a care home.

Initially, I was taken aback by the rather rundown interior of St George's Nursing Home.
My concerns were quickly allayed after meeting with management.
They are professional, warm, understanding, calm and kind people.
Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
During my partners stay there were some challenging situations, including room changes. Management and their staff were supportive with all the changes and illness issues we had to deal with.
He was always clean and well fed. He was a tricky customer with food, so they did very well there.
When he felt well enough they took him to the High Street in his wheelchair.
The staff quickly realised a cheeky conversation would put a big smile on his face and any discussion about Leeds United was very welcome.
All the carers treated the residents with respect and kindness. There was nice interaction with everyone.

I will be eternally grateful for the care and support St Georges gave him in his final months. Thank you.

The care team provided amazing care for my father during his stay. The food was excellent and they managed to stabilise his weight loss. They were able to help with the healing of a bed sore he got whilst in his own home and managed to get him walking again. Their advice on walking aids was invaluable.

My father stayed in 3 care homes during his illness and Royston continues to be the only home he talks of because he enjoyed his stay there so much.

My mother arrived at St George's having been given 3 weeks to live following a stroke. That was five years ago! The care that she received helped her recover and she was soon able to chat away to her family during our visits. It is never easy entrusting the care of a loved one to others, but St. George's staff's kindness, compassion, and professionalism made all the difference for our family. The warmth and patience they showed her over the years, especially during her more challenging days, made a real difference. It gave her family great comfort to know that she was surrounded by people who genuinely cared for her well-being and whose dedication made a significant difference in her quality of life, and for that, her family are profoundly thankful.

St George's cared for my wife with dignity and kindness for the 12 months she resided in the nursing home. I would like to thank all the staff nurses and carers.

An area for improvement: the app my daughters were given access to did not actually provide any useful updates. This could have helped in providing better communication on medical and health progress updates. In-person updates, on doctor visits, test results or health progress was not delivered to the family as timely as we would have liked.

My mother has been in St George's for several years now. I have to say that the care she has had has been excellent. The carers always treat her with dignity and respect, even when she has been agitated, which must be hard. I have occasionally arrived while they are giving her care and so witness their gentle but clear and confident approach to her, which helps her calm down.
The manager listens carefully to any concerns and we hear about plans for the home in the regular relatives meetings.

Because the home is small there is a family feel about it. The communal room may not be the most spacious room, but we really have some fun there when there are gatherings of various sorts. I am happy to recommend it.

My father has been in care for the past few days at St George's. He was well looked after and cared for during the time he was a resident. There were a few occasions improvements could have been made as when I visited not always the warmest of welcomes after travelling two hours. However, on my father's final journey, the carers could not have been more helpful or compassionate and treated my father with respect and dignity.

My husband was taken into St George's Nursing Home in October at end of life. The care he received from the day he arrived to the day he died was very good. The staff were very kind and caring and treated him like a human being. The kitchen staff were very good, made him food he liked and could eat. I can’t thank the manager for his kindness he showed to my husband and myself. He was always ready to speak to and dealt with anything I needed to discuss. The whole staff should be praised for their hard work. I don’t want to mention any one person as they were all very good.

My dear friend spent her last two weeks at St George's. The care and attention she was given were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They made sure everything possible was done to help her settle in and feel safe, even arranging for her hair to be cut and styled as soon as they could, as they knew how important this was to her. We were all made very welcome to visit at any time and stay as long as we wanted, even being offered drinks and food. The staff always made time to come and chat to us, listen to our concerns and explain every stage of her care and what we could expect. It was lovely to see her being so well cared for in a relaxed and peaceful home. The manager and staff are so kind and genuinely care for the residents, at a very sad time we needed this reassurance. I would recommend care here to anyone.

I am so thankful for the amazing care that my mum received whilst a resident of St George's Nursing Home. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for all they do. Mum was treated with respect, dignity and compassion tailored to her individual needs, after suffering a severe stroke in April, in a loving and home-from-home environment. This gave us such enormous comfort for her family during a very difficult time. There was always a warm welcome for us and no restrictions on visiting times, which was incredibly helpful. We were kept well informed, nothing was too much trouble, and they were always on hand to answer any questions we had. We couldn't have wished for better. Heartfelt thanks to all at St George's.

My great-uncle needed respite care while his bungalow was being repaired after a flood. St George's was very welcoming and adaptable, taking care of my relative. The manager was very knowledgeable and helpful, and the other staff were always friendly and willing to help.
